"The Throne of Broken Gods" is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions that left me utterly wrecked in the best way possible. I can't even begin to describe the masterpiece that this book is. From its intricately woven plot to its breathtaking writing, every aspect of this story is a work of art.

This book seamlessly combines humor and devastation, sensuality and action, romance and betrayal. The ending, while not as horrific as in The Book of Azrael, still left me reeling and making feral noises in the middle of the night. It's a testament to the author's skill that I survived it, and now I'm left craving more.

As much as I love this book, the wait for the next installment is torturous. Amber V Nicole has left me hanging on the edge of my seat, eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this captivating saga. If you're ready for a book that will shatter your psyche and leave you begging for more, "The Throne of Broken Gods" is a must-read.

This was an anticipated read for 2023 and it did not disappoint! Such a good continuation of The Book of Azrael, I couldn't put it down!

When I saw that The Throne of Broken Gods was available on Netgalley… I RAN!! The book of Azreal is so amazing I couldn’t wait to see what book two held and let’s just say I was not disappointed! This book had me flipping pages into the wee morning hours!! So if you’re looking for something with fantasy, romance, drama, suspense… and all the things that just make up a stellar novel!! Than The Throne of Broken Gods is a must read!! Add it to your shelf now!

This was a phenomenal sequel to the series!!! The author has such a magnificent writing style that crafts an addictive story that completely absorbs you from page one and doesn’t let you go. Not to mention the romance, which had my heart skyrocketing at every turn. The main characters’ chemistry is absolutely enthralling and their complex dynamics are very unique. I cannot wait to see what else this world has to offer and the fate that lies ahead for the characters. I cannot recommend this series enough to anyone who loves romance and fantasy.

I’ve not long finished and can already tell this book is going to give me the biggest hangover. I need the next one immediately!!

Samkiel and Dianna!? Swoon. Their character development is so well done, Dianna’s grief is palpable and her reactions (while extreme) are exactly what I expected from her character development in the first book.

The world building… I can’t put it into words if I’m honest. There’s a lot of description and build up, and heaps of politics in this second instalment (always seems to be the way) but I couldn’t put the book down. I inhaled this. It’s a big book, but nevertheless, I couldn’t get enough. Part of me wanted it to be longer still.

The multiple pov was new. The first book was between Dianna/Liam. This time we get insights into most of the characters internal thoughts. It was a little jarring at first but I felt like each switch in view offered a little more information for us as the reader.

I loved this book and will definitely be picking up book 3!

This is book two in the gods and monsters series and I was thoroughly hooked! It's a paranormal/fantasy romance with vampires, magic, spice and so much more! I definitely recommend reading these books.

One of the book's most interesting aspects is the way it channels Dianna's rage and destruction. Her fury feels justified, immersing readers in her turmoil and leaving us divided between sympathy and exhilaration. The book’s ending was a cliffhanger, I cannot wait to read more!

"The Throne of Broken Gods" earns a solid 5 out of 5 stars from me. Its compelling narrative had me glued to its pages, and the pacing was so engrossing that I devoured the book far more quickly than I thought I would. While its length might seem daunting, the story's magnetic pull is impossible to resist. The multifaceted perspectives, Dianna's unapologetic rage, and the electrifying chemistry between the protagonists collectively create an experience that promises an exciting continuation of the series.

If readers liked the first book readers will enjoy the second book. It continues to showcase a fun writing style while intertwining a deep plot line.

This book begins following the gut wrenching heartbreak of the Gabby's death. Samkiel fights to bring Dianna back from the grips of her own monster, whilst evil begins its battle to destroy them both.

I was slightly startled by the other points of view in this book, but they really added to the overarching storyline, and drew me further and further into the story.

I could not put this book down, consumed by the need to see Samkiel succeed, and Dianna finally emerge from her monstrous grief and vengeance to accept the love she so desperately needs.

"I refuse to live without you. There will be no peace in this realm or the next. I will burn this universe down to embers for you. I will leave nothing untouched, taking apart anyone that’s ever hurt you piece by piece."

I need book 3 ASAP!!!

This cliff hanger??? Absolutely not. The angst was there, the spice, the pining and I just want my little cinnamon rolls to be happy.

Okay so I thought the first book was amazing and I was nervous to pick up the second one but it did not disappoint. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. Especially in the spice department.

I absolutely loved the multiple(and I mean multiple) POVs. I loved getting to know what everyone was thinking and feeling and also seeing things play out from their perspective. It adds so much more dimension to the book.

I fell even harder for Samkiel in this book. My favorite thing about him was that he didn’t speak “normally”. I found it the most adorable thing ever.

And Diana? I felt everything she felt! I was able to connect with her on such a deep level. I love how Gabby was her everything. Having a sister myself, I know exactly how she felt.

One thing I did hate about this book though…it ended. I need more. I need to know what is going to happen it’s only been a few hours since I’ve finished it and I’m already going crazy. I’m not sure I can wait for the third book.

Oh. My. Word. That tension and build up gets me every timeeeee. Samkiel is goals. I love a man that will let give you a choice in everything but will also burn the world to keep you safe. And the mouth on that man?!? Shewwwwww 🥵🤤

But seriously, Dianna is a badass bitch and her grief was deeeeeppppp. I love the work through of the trauma and I am also a sucker for found family with good banter.

The banter and angst and tension between her and Samkiel is beautifully frustrating. I need the next book asap!!

this one was so fun! so much more character and relationship development! dianna was definitely unhinged and i . . . didn't mind that at all? she didn't annoy me at all like the way she did in the first one and normally when the murderous fmc is a little too murderous it just seems campy to me and ends up annoying me but the way dianna's grief was handled in this one made me understand her motivations and accept her character more. samkiel's patience with her was just ugh perfect. dianna's grief mixed with samkiel's attempt to save her was the perfect way to show how love is as painful as it merciful

there were some cringe moments, some POVs i didn't really care for or think were necessary. like i said with the first one, i didn't think this book needed to be as long as it was. yes some plot twists were predictable and yes i still gasped when they were revealed

that all being said, i cannot wait for book 3

I loved this book! I was absolutely hooked on the entire story, and, despite this being a very long book, I flew through it in just a couple of days. Samkiel and Dianna are excellent characters with so much depth, and I truly enjoyed being back in their world and learning more about them and the conflict they are facing.

Shoutout to Amber Nicole for including a brief recap of The Book of Azrael in the beginning of the book in such a creative format - it was such a great way to be introduced back to the characters and the storyline without simply writing a summary. Truly I think every book in a series should do this!! So helpful!! And the end?? Another cliffhanger?? I need the next book yesterday 😅

The only thing that I didn’t love about this book was that it felt long in a few places. Eventually the Samkiel/Dianna conflict got a little bit too repetitive, and I wish we could’ve gotten a little more of time with them together instead of apart. However, I think this conflict did a great job of showcasing Dianna’s grief and the way that she processed it, so that was a plus.

I highly recommend this series!! A great fantasy romance with a unique magic system, great character development, and excellent plot twists. I’m very much looking forward to the next one!

The Throne of Broken Gods finally delivers on the Samkiel/Dianna relationship, albeit about 50% of the way through after Dianna goes on a slaughter revenge spree to answer for the murder of her sister. I enjoyed many aspects of the emotional healing journey of the book with some of the best passages being Samkiel and the Hand's refusal to give up on Dianna and the final scenes with Gabby. The smut definitely delivered on the glimpses of it we got in book 1.

My biggest gripe was with the length of the book itself (similar to the length of book 1). There were perspectives and passages I just didn't care about (I didn't need a single Kaden chapter because I don't want to have him humanized). My second biggest gripe was about all the time Dianna spent without her powers and didn't really spend much time retaining any training or muscle to be able to pull some of the stunts she did in the end. I'd have love to get more training content with Samkiel or even the Hand. All in all though this book was predictable in plot, longer than it needed to be, but delivered on everything it promised.

After reading the first book I was excited to start this one, but for me it was a slow start since reading slump started to hit me hard. Good thing I managed to finish it. I really liked it, the story was very captivating and I was a little sad that it was over. The characters were really interesting.

I am a sucker for side characters and this book didn’t disappoint! The relationships were heartwarming and the way Amber wrote this book was incredible! It’s not very often I actually feel like I’m in a scene of the book but this book make me grin from ear to ear! And oh my goodness I can’t not mention the plot twists!!!!! Ladies and Gents, this book is epic. Cancel all of your plans and go read this book!
