A mafia/mob/vigilante romance. The spice in this is immaculate! A good balance between plot and spice too.
Great characters who each have a story to them. Who doesn't love a possessive morally grey mmc?! Especially when they say "good girl" like that?!
I enjoyed the writing style here, it felt natural and the dialogue didn't feel forced or too formal as can be the way sometimes.
Highly recommend!

Rating: 4/5⭐️

Publication Date: May 30rd 2023

Author: Tara Wyatt

Review: 🔥🔥🔥 I LOVED this book only reason I didn’t give it a full 5⭐️’s was because I felt it was too easy if that’s a thing … I wanted them to have a little more fight between them they just gave in so easily and were together and that was that. No groveling after he denied her for three years just got right together. I also wish something more crazy would of happened with her dad maybe a better kidnapping… for some one who was a hit man… he sure got her taken a few too many times

No third act breakup which was amazing! A book can still be great without it.

Definitely want to continue the series … but still wondering why is it the kings of hells kitchen…. That makes me think of a bunch of deadly chefs instead of killers 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing for granting me access to this book in exchange for an honest review. I also received the prequel "Tease Me" with this book which was a wonderful surprise!!🥰🥰

HOLY HEAVENS!! FABULOUS!! ADDICTIVE!! AMAZING!! OBSESSED!! JUST WOW!! I can easily say that this book is one of my favorite reads this year!! I literally cannot begin to tell you just how much I LOVED this book!! Tempt Me is an emotional and dark mafia romance that is filled with forbidden love, steamy passion, tension to die for, spicy love scenes, full of action packed suspense, impending danger, good vs. evil and redemption. The story was phenomenal and made me feel ALL the emotions.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Tempt Me is is the first book in this series and is Whitney and Killian's story. Killian is a broody and tormented man that does not believe he deserves happiness/love or someone like Whitney. He falls hard for Whitney but makes a promise to always protect her from danger which includes himself. Whitney is a ray of sunshine, creative and full of life. She is instantly attracted to Killian but no matter how hard she tries to get him to acknowledge her he keeps pushing her away. When someone from Whitney's past puts her in danger, Killian gets all protective and possessive. Forced into close proximity, Killian realizes that he is tired of fighting his feelings for her. After three years of keeping her at a distance, the sparks between them ignite! Their chemistry is sizzling hot🔥🌶️ and could have melted my kindle, 🤣😂!! I loved how Whitney was able to see Killian for the man he truly was under all the layers and accepts him regardless of his flaws. Killian is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe which includes making her his!

Overall, I was completely captivated from start to finish! What a fantastic start to a series and I cannot wait for the next book about Kate and Lucas's journey. I highly recommend this book and it deserves a gazillion stars!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tempt Me by Tara Wyatt
Kings of Hell’s Kitchen #1

What a stunning story! Thoroughly enjoyed this from beginning to end!

What I liked:
* Killian Byrne: dark, deadly, bedeviled, enforcer, has his own moral compass, lost everything, rose from the ashes, integral member of KOHK, fell for Whitney almost at first sight, grew a lot in this story
* Whitney Vanek: free spirit, flirtatious, bright, caring, strong, independent, good friend, raised by her mother, doesn’t know her father, has wanted Killian since she first saw him
* The prequel being included with the book
* Getting to meet some of the characters that will probably be included in this series
* The plot, pace, location, and writing
* That I was drawn in from the very beginning and couldn’t put the book down
* Thinking about good & evil as a label for people and how some that are considered evil may not truly BE evil…
* Thinking about tolerance, acceptance, forgiveness, self-flagellation, love, family, and a lot of other heavy topics while reading this book
* Killian & Whitney and how they finally manage their HEA – still fanning myself thinking about some of those scenes
* That the bad guys were found and dealt with, and the story complete without cliffhangers
* Knowing that there is another book in the series coming out later this year

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Thinking about how evil some people are

Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

This one is stunning in how beautifully it is executed, with all the layers to the characters, the twists and turns in all its various subplots. I loved so much about it - so so so good! I will write more when my book hangover lets up. It is AMAZING!!.

TEMPT ME is a story of family and friendships, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and intense; the romance is provocative; the characters are broken, desperate and determined.
This is the first book in a new series which is spin off of The Prescott's Series. Killian and Whitney were attracted to each other from the first time they meet. But no matter how hard Whitney tried to get him to see her he pushed her away.
Giving up, she moved on with her life while always knowing he was there.
Killian knows he is not good enough for Whitney and that he can't let himself think of touching her, having her. She is the best friend of his boss and best friend Lucian wife. Lucian would kill him if her hurt her and if he didn't his wife, Olivia would. Killian lost his family to the mob and everything he knew. He was taken in by Lucian and along with his team found meaning, friends and family again.
The stories are well written and engaging, the characters are steamy and relatable it's pulled you into their world and has you coming back for more.

Tempt Me is book 1 in the Kings of Hell's Kitchen series by Tara Wyatt.

I couldn't put this book down as it was so addictive that it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.
The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the first page and you had to keep reading until the end.
The attraction and tension was delicious y’all.
I loved this book so much! It was the perfect blend of fun banter, angst and hot sexy times to keep those pages turning.
Tempt Me was a highly entertaining read that I enjoyed thoroughly!

This is my first book by Tara Wyatt and I am really happy with this discovery!
Killian is a tortured men who thinks he don’t deserve good things in life and Whitney’s an author who love her freedom and don’t do feelings…The perfect match!
The two having a long time crush on each other was just so realistic, he thinks she’s just messing with him, she thinks he’s not interested in her.
Their relationship was a bit fast but not disturbing given the storyline, I liked it personally. Two matching souls reuniting!
I was scared for the ending, I saw the pages getting closer and closer to the end and thought it was going to be a cliffhanger but no, the ending is really good, I was surprised in good!
Wished there was a bit more moments with Whitney’s mother, like some moments where it would add cute moments to there relationship.
I’m definitely going to read more books by this author, I really liked her writing!
I received this book by Netgalley to review as an ARC. My review is honest and I willingly read this book. Thanks to the author for trusting me!

(sorta spoilers)

Reading this book felt like a typical gang/mafia type setting with a bit of obsession. I felt as though this was very similar to Gianna and Christian from the obsession series but not nearly as good.

There was a similar part as they weren't together for 3 years because of minor issues like The Maddest Obsession by Danielle Lori.

The mmc went through his hard ships and felt unworthy to be with the girl he obsessed over and when the barrier broke to what was holding him from letting himself go to being with her it was as if almost every chapter after that was just them in bed and it didn't give me the appeal.

The fmc didn't change much she was a partier who enjoyed flirting and writing books. In which the mmc happened to buy all of her books.

This felt like reading a average wattpad story at best and I think there is more potential to this book in perhaps more plotline content instead of smutiness.

Tempt Me is the first book in the Kings Of Hell’s Kitchen series by Tara Wyatt. Tara Wyatt is a new to me author, and wow! I am hooked! To clarify, there is a prequel novella called Tease Me at the beginning of this book. Also, side characters Lucian and Olivia’s story is in the book, Bad Intentions. This is a mafia story with a twist. These hardened mafia men form a group that regulates the criminal element. I wouldn’t go so far as to call them “good guys” since they still operate outside the law, but they are so complicated, sexy, and irresistible!

Killian! He’s dark and broody, has blood on his hands, and embraces the violence he creates. Killian is twelve years older than Whitney; I loved the age difference; it works really well. When we first meet Killian, he is beaten down by his inner demons and obsessed with Whitney. Killian fights the attraction, not wanting to smother something so innately good. However, Whitney shows Killian that he can be loved unconditionally, demons and all. Whitney is such a fun character. She is a writer and optimist. What I love most about Whitney is how she loves Killian. She gives a man whose whole world is violent peace and tranquility.

This book is combustible when Killian and Whitney are on page together. Full of incredible, steamy passion, it is the soft, sweetly romantic moments between the couple when Killian drops his shields and bares his soul that catapults this romance into greatness. I loved the premise of these Robin-hood type mafia men. The story moves well; it is somewhat of a slow burn with the prequel novella included. Even then, I was turning pages as fast as I could! Tara Wyatt, where have you been? I’ve needed characters like Killian and Whitney in my life! I can’t wait for more of the Kings, and as I impatiently wait, I am going back to read the Prescott’s series! I am one hundred percent a die-hard fan of these books!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through Netgalley and the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tempt Me is a dark mafia romance based in New York City. Killian and Whitney have instant chemistry but don't move forward with their feelings until Killian has to step up to protect Whitney. If you like darker themes and possessive main characters this is for you.

I enjoyed reading this book, the romance was hot and i liked the two lead characters.

The length of the book was just right any more and i think i might have gotten a little bored.

There was plenty of action out of the bedroom with shoot outs, car chases and kidnapping.

Then we come to the action scenes in the bedroom these were hot and well written.

If you like a bit of action with a lot of sex then pick up their book.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this ebook for an honest review.

So intense, everything about this book was so intense!

It's the story of Whitney's crush on Killian, and his extreme determination to not get close to her and fall into their attraction. But things change when she's in danger and he can protect her, being an (ex?) mob enforcer.

Both characters are extremely likable, though some of Killian traits didn't sit well with me, his view on the acts he does, but that is something that drives the story. His love, turned into an obsession, is all consuming and all protective. And Whitney is such an adorable heroine, she's smart, she's witty, she's vulnerable, and so sweet.

Whatever I knew about Tara Wyatt's wonderful writing turned up the volume in this book. I found some of her books intense, but this one surpasses them all. It's the intensity of the violence, the intensity of Killian's identity, and extreme hotness of the heated scenes and the dirty talk, don't get me started on the dirty talk! Also, the intensity of the feelings, both Killian's extraordinary love for Whitney and her love and capacity to hold space for him and take him with everything he is.

I was looking forward to read this book and it did not disappoint, I couldn't put it down. It's the beginning of what I think is going to be a fantastic series, more intense, again, than other goodies Tara has gifted the book world.

I received a copy of this in order to offer my personal view on it.

Killian is a damaged mob enforcer and he tries to stay away from Whitney.. Until her life is in danger... Love Killian and Whitney's grumpy-sunshine relationship. An engaging plot and lots of chemistry. Enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
