oh my gosh, this book, where to start......... just wow i am completely in love with this book, Alina the main female lead is a strong and feisty women but she is the daughter of a notorious mafia boss and needs protection, which she doesnt agree with, but oh i would if it was her body guard hehe. you will not put his book down it will keep you gripped the whole way through, just to find out what happens next and if you was right from the start.

This book had so much action and spice that I finished it in a couple of hours. I’m a lover for the whole mafia, dark romance books and this did not disappoint.

Alina, isn’t the normal princess you would think. She’s ready to handle anything that’s thrown her way. Her father who is ruthless orders for her to be protected by a bodyguard but has plans of his own.

Kane, the bodyguard, takes his work and jobs seriously. When asked to make sure Alina is protected and nothing happens to her. He was caught by surprise what that would really mean.

Her father has secrets and plans of his own but Kane comes to the rescue with a plan of his own. Watching how the events unfold had me turning the pages faster and faster to see how it would end.

If you love a good bodyguard, mafia, or dark romance book. This is one you don’t want to miss out on!

I personally liked this story of dark romance. It's not the darkest I've read, but it is still classified as such.
What I enjoyed most was that its only 142 pages long so it's nice for a quick read.
There was an error on page 95 that I found.
I enjoyed the story because of the female character, she was crying out to be the boss and the story showed her vulnerability and how she grew in confidence.
Overall I enjoyed the story, and there was just enough spice to the story . I would recommend to read.

The good: It's short, steamy, and has lots of action.

The not so great: The clichés are eyeroll-inducing. Alina's got curves in all the right places and we have to read about these curves over and over. She's also supposed to be strong and powerful, but , up until the end, she mostly seems like a brat. An abused brat, but a brat nonetheless. Also, the romance between Kane and Alina...sigh...I definitely could have used a lot more meat on that bone for it to be believable. A few more pages-worth of conversation versus sex would have been nice.

My biggest problem, though, is all the italicizing!! That the heck is that about? There is NO rhyme or reason for most of it. Is it to convey inner dialogue? Deep insight? All it does is highlight cheesy writing. And I'm fine with cheese, BTW. But not the constant and erratic italics.

Tainted has A LOT of spice and action. The cover is beautiful. If you are a fan of dark romance, I definitely recommend you read this book.

I enjoyed this story wish there was abit more storyline blossoming the relationship, but worked out ok. It was really fast paced and a page turner for me.. First time reading from this author and would read another book. Really like the front cover of the book.
The book does contain some graphic violence and spicy scenes that some people could find a trigger.

This was my first mafia romance novel but I watched 365 Days and that's all I could picture as I read this. I will be reading all the other books in this series! I loved Alina character - she was strong and could hold her own but she also grew throughout the book. It was steamy and just perfect.

This my 1st read buy this Author and very much enjoyed. Kane has one job to protect. his bosses Moskal daughter Alina. this is no ordinary family this is a mafia family. But from day one it's going to be hard as their attraction. Kane lost his parents and never knew where his sister went. and has never forgotten her. But there is big trouble for Kane will he come out the over end alive. I loved this story will be reading more from this author.

This was just an ok book for me. A quick read and a guaranteed HEA, but I felt it lacked depth. Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for the early read in exchange for my honest opinion.

After the first chapter I was questioning whether or not I was gonna be able to finish reading the book. I did not. There was absolutely no build up in the mmc and fmc as they got together and 'obsessed' with one another after a few chapters. The girl holds nothing back. The guy says hes holding back but he's not. It was suppose to be bodyguard x the girl hes protecting. Sorta like twisted games by Ana Huang but it was an absolute disaster. The format felt like a wattpad story and although not all wattpad story formats are bad I just couldn't continue reading this. After chapter 10 I stopped, honestly couldn't continue. Pure torture. Felt it was made around tropes and worked it out from that but forgot to give it a plot. The girl reveals her 'brutal/traumatic' past as if there was no problem or issue within the first few chapters. Along with the fact that she in a way sexual harassed the dude by going in his bathroom while hes showering almost like the first night he stays at their place. Honestly was irritated and couldn't fathom how this is a book. I wish I could choose to read this back.
