i got access to this book through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. i honestly don’t know how to feel about this book. there is just too many characters and a very confusing plot. the world building is decent, and the characters individually were pretty good - they were detailed and pretty enjoyable. Elwyn was my favorite, she had a good story by herself and i like her little friend that talks in riddles. this book has promise, but it just doesn’t feel like the right book for me
Fascinating characters, a beautiful world, and a promising finish!
The Unseen is a fantastic read about faeries, self-discovery, and found family. Despite having points of view for several characters throughout the book, Lilla Glass does a wonderful job of keeping the flow of the story succinct. The world is rich with varying beliefs and characters that pull you in.
I will say that some of the character growth did feel a bit rushed, but it wasn't enough to make me dislike the story. I'm excited to see where they go from here, especially after how book 1 ends.
