I am really enjoying this Lady Knight series. Each story is so different from the next and yet connected by the common thread of Spy Craft and much love. Stealthy, steamy and thrilling with very likeable protagonists, this book is hard to put down.
I received an ARC from Netgalley and leaving my review voluntarily.

I am really enjoying the "Lady Knights" series by Cara Maxwell. "Lost to Lady Scandal" is the second installment but it is definitely a standalone as it takes place at the same time as the first book. Here, FMC Dominique is the lady knight who specializes in seduction. MMC David is a newly minted Earl who never expected to become a peer. Dominique and David grew up in the same area and were in love and courting prior to the exposure of the scandal of Dominique's birth. Dominique left David behind, not trusting him to want her with the truth of her past known. David, however, never loved anyone else.
Unexpectedly reunited in London, Dominique and David end up working together on her most recent Lady Knight assignment - Dominique could not cut him off and so read him in. They quickly realize their feelings are still there but they are definitely different people, and thus need to decide if the feelings can adapt to who they are now.
I so liked both Dominique and David. David is willing to adjust his expectations to the woman Dominique has become and he does not judge her for her choices, even as he acknowledges he might not like all of the things her work involves. Dominique is smart and resourceful and (mostly) confident in who she is. David is able to get her the rest of the way to full confidence. This book is well-written and I so enjoyed the secondary characters. I am looking forward to the remainder of the Lady Knights getting their stories.
4.5 stars rounded to 5. Thank you to NetGalley and DragonBlade for a complimentary ARC of this book. The opinions in this review are my own.
Lost to Lady Scandal is a story between childhood sweethearts Lady Spy Dominique and newly minted Earl of Danby, David Grisham.
I enjoyed both characters, their chemistry and the mission along the way. I don't really know if Lady spies were a thing back in the day, but I found the idea very modern and Dominque's approach to it wouldn't differ too much from if you were watching a contemporary show on espionage.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC, opinions are my own.
This was a simply amazing read I enjoyed every single moment and found myself to be totally blown away by both the characters and the plot which was so innovative and so cleverly written.
