Thank you to Netgalley, the Author, and Publisher for this review copy.
I am someone who always has an interest in Astrology but it is a broad subject and I am already too busy as is. Sometimes I just want to know more and this is a wonderful book to use for that. I don't think it is too complex for beginners nor boring for those who are already expereicned. It gives enough new information to remain relevant.
I enjoyed reading through this book - as someone who has a casual interest in astrology (and friends with a huge interest in astrology), it wasn't too complex or too oversimplified. I don't think that this book does anything groundbreaking in its approach, but it doesn't really need to. If you like astrology and would like to step beyond "the big three," then this book is for you!
Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Valuable Information
The author states that this is an interactive workbook applicable to all astrological signs, and that readers will need their astrological birth chart, calculated using their birth date, time, and location. She has written this book containing two parts:
1. Part One lays the foundation for astrology basics.
2. Part Two contains twelve chapters, with each chapter focusing on one of the astrological houses, and that each house contain five astrology-based workbook exercises.
The author discusses the basics of reading birth charts, the significance of your birth chart, including the date, time, location of your birth, your zodiac sign, planets in your birth chart, and reading and interpreting your birth charts.
This is a great workbook and the exercises to be completed for each house is very informational and helpful. This workbook is very beneficial as one go through each house during the year. They are a source to calculate various information about your potential future. I highly recommend it.

I just started getting into tarot and astrology this year and I have been starting to read and research them this year, I loved the workbook form of this book and I loved how it included questions about your astrology signs and how they fit in each of the houses. The only thing that I would have liked better was to make this a little easier to understand for those completely new to the topic.
This was a fun workbook with lots of good information! It was very introductory though, and I would love to see a little more depth on some of the interpretive guidelines.
Astrology for You

This is a good beginner's book for those who know nothing about astrology. It covers a basic overview, but doesn't cover everything. I did a lot of outside learning, exploring, and searching. There is something so rewarding about learning to read my, and close family birth charts.
This book is perfect for the curious. The exercises do a great job allowing one to explore their own strengths and weaknesses. Overall, I enjoyed the opportunity for self growth. This book isn't a fast read. It's a book you'll spend a lot of time on; a lot of introspection.
My biggest issue was with the layout. The reader isn't giving information (or is given it too slowly). This led to my confusion, and googling missing information that was a few chapters away.
Thank you, NetGalley and Castillo Media, for an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Thank you Jessie Eccles, Netgalley, and Callisto Media / Rockridge Press for this free ARC in exchange for a review.
This is a good beginner book for those who know little to nothing about Astrology, yet want to learn. It does a basic overview of the main parts of it, without going too in depth. It includes helpful excercises. It's about the most popular parts of Astrology, but as a beginner book, not everything. So it's not for professionals, but just people curious about the basics.
A lot of the books coming out these days about Astrology contain stereotypes and fluff, so it's nice to see a beginner book like this which avoids that.
✨ Thank you to NetGalley and Callisto Media for the opportunity to read (and deep dive) into this book! ✨
If you’ve ever been interested in birth charts, but feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start…this book is PERFECT to help! The workbook section is clear and accessible, even as a digital copy. I was able to figure out my sun, moon, and rising sign within the first 30 minutes of diving in…that’s how organized and easy to understand it was.
This book is very similar to other birth chart books and resources I have read. I liked how it is beginner friendly and offers clear step by step guidance. It would be a good tool to use if you are interested in understanding more about your own chart, with the added personalisation in the exercises 🌘🌕🌒
Really interesting. There are some similar books out there, that do similar things. But this one is very good, and very visually pleasing!
This is a great introduction for anyone interested in astrology. I’ve read quite a few books and this is written rather clearly and targeted as an introduction. If you’re interested in what your chart has to say, give this a read and try the exercises.
As someone who is mildly knowledgeable about Astrology, it always amazes me how in-depth this study goes. Containing an introduction to astrology, and a chapter filled with an introduction and 5 exercises, Astrology for You is a great book for anyone looking to become more familiar with their birth chart or knows someone interested in this topic.
It is a really interesting read! Very detailed yet not too heavy, and easy to understand for beginner interested readers about astrology like me. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review, appreciate the opportunity.

I have to say I had to read this twice because it was a bit confusing. Still, it was a fun exercise and if you're a beginner in astrology this can help.

As a Leo sun, I, like the author, love to learn anything and everything about myself and this book made that possible. In addition, I knew this author could be trusted when they made their mention of cusps.
I have an entire shelf of astrology books and workbooks, and no other is comparable to this text. The author speaks in a way that gives you all the information you need without oversimplifying. I found myself learning on every page despite my prior knowledge of astrology. There were concepts I thought I fully understood until they were explained differently here. With that said, this book remains beginner friendly.
There is one section - the 5th house- it names both Leo and Taurus as the 5th house ruler and I believe this needs to be addressed. Other than that, I found no issues.
I thought the workbook section was unique and I liked the way I was guided to read my own chart without it feeling like homework. The tables provided as well as the journal prompts are beyond insightful. I worked through the pages and found myself truly understanding my chart more than ever before. I would whole heartedly recommend this to new and growing astrology enthusiasts.
