Engaging, educational and completely captivating read, look at a diverse range of LGBTQI+ people who made their own huge impact on our world. I will definitely be buying this book for our Sixth Form library.

Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for sending me this arc!! I enjoyed reading this book, it was very informative and reading about how much our queer elders have sacrificed made me tear up. +Plus there were no grammatical or spelling errors that I noticed whatsoever:)

Thank you for advanced copy.

I was drawn to this book by the cover, it's very well put together, I am not sure about the use of colours but got through this.
This is in essence a coffee table book, I have a few books like this which I regularly look through.
I like that you have a few pages dedicated to each activists, I adore Harvey Milk so was in my element for example but I think it could have been laid out differently.

This book was pretty okay. It’s, in essence, a coffee-table-book introduction to activists in the LGBTQIA+ community. Only about 2ish pages (plus drawings) are dedicated to each individual, which makes it feel a lot like reading the overview of a ton of Wikipedia biography pages without the ability to scroll down and read more. Though I understand that’s its purpose as a pretty-to-look-at queer coffee table book, I was left wanting more. While not exactly what I was hoping for, I’m sure plenty of people would be happy to own and display this book.

This book was amazing.
Not only having brilliant art work and interesting snippets of history and how integral all of these people are to queer history and how they change the world - through movements or law changes but it also included powerful quotes from all of the people.
My two favourites being:
"rights are won only by those who make their voices heard"-Harvey Milk
and
"If you want know who the oppressed minorities in America are, simply look at who gets their own shelf in the bookstore"- Armistead Maupin.
This book is suitable for all ages and covers every part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum highlighting that true pride is inclusive to all.

This was a lovely collection composed of very influential individuals in the LGBTQI+ movement. It was really beautifully written and was informative, I highly recommend it.

I received a digital Advanced Readers Copy from Netgalley and all opinions are my own.
I found this book really interesting! It covers a lot of different people though I wish there were some Aromantic People covered and more Asexual people talked about. (There is an A in LGBTQIA for a reason.)
I learnt a lot I didn't already know plus there seemed to be a wide spread of more and lesser know figures as well as ones from different times throughout history.
This book is great if you want a base to do more research on or if you want to learn the basics about these important LGBTQIA+ icons.

I was very excited for this book and ended up disappointed.
First, I am really not a fan of having coloured shapes through the text. On some pages, it was only circles and that wasn't too bad, but many paragraphs has scribbles and spirals through the text which made it difficult to read visually.
Second, for a book called "people who changed the World", so many of the people mentioned lived in the United States or the United Kingdom. While the liberation movements in those two countries are important, I would have preferred a more global look at people who are perhaps less known than, say, Alan Turing, Harvey Milk, Judith Butler and RuPaul.

That said, I think the descriptions were interesting.
