I Ship is a great children's book about container ships. My four year old and I really appreciated reading this together -- it had captivating illustrations and lots of facts while still having an engaging story -- the complete package. I teach high school but I think it could definitely be used in any classroom (elementary and secondary) as a model for writing informational texts. Definitely recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley for an e-copy of I Ship by Kelly Rice Schmitt .I shared this book with my grandson and preschool class. This is a fascinating book with a treasure trove of information that is perfect to read to preschoolers and kindergarteners and for early elementary school readers to read independently..This book explains how a cargo freighter ship works -taking goods from place to place and what happens when they encounter storms and other delays..There is a vocabulary list at the back which lists shipping and boating terms.Very interesting read for emerging and early readers who are fascinated by ships

This story follows a container ship on its journey to deliver goods. It was a wild adventure with fun illustrations. I especially loved the facts and descriptions at the end of the book.
