This is the perfect guide for anyone interested in becoming an author. The information included, can also be beneficial to an author shook is transitioning from self-published to mainstream, or wishes to re-brand.

The author did the research, so that you don't have to. Great job!

Generally, this was a kind of mid stream book was good and did have some things that were very good to know, but also some things were very repetitive were very broad and weren’t very specific which I think made this a little bit harder to understand for people who maybe haven’t done anything in the book business before it may come across as very confusing. I personally have done some publishing in the author industry, so I thought this book did have some very good points, but I would not recommend this as a one-stop shop for knowing how to publish a Book because it did have some good aspects, but it did not have a lot of things that you could have used. But to give this book, it’s dews. I would recommend this as maybe an introductory book to get to know some of the words before going into more in-depth books.

I think I was perhaps looking for more insights and more information than what I could already glean from reading websites and articles on publishing. This book was written well but it felt very basic and more for someone who knows nothing about publishing and writing in this current Internet age. While I did not expect this to spill all of the beans on how to get published or to push you in a direction, there was a lot that I didn't feel was really helpful either. I will say that it was short, and for that, I give the author kudos. Because anything longer would have been difficult for me to read through.

There were some nuggets here and there, but not enough for me in this particular instance.

I would recommend this to someone who has never really researched getting published or is really just dabbling in writing. Not sure someone who is truly committed to their art would benefit from this book. It also seems to favour more non-fiction or memoir type writings which, in the case of my father in law who has been self-publishing stories for his grandchildren, maybe the target audience in the end.

All in all, not for me or for my daughter who is the one looking to publish her book this year. But still enough value to bump it to a 2 star.
