This is probably my favourite of Sarah Ready’s books so far, and several of her previous ones have been among my top reads!

This has to be one of the best books I’ve read, with massive character development, for Jace, between the members of Jace’s family, Andrea accepting her fate, as well as their former classmate who plays a major part in their story. I enjoyed every moment and couldn’t put it down - I binged the whole 13 hours/500 pages in a single sitting! It’s truly that amazing! A true 5-star read!

The time jump idea isn’t normally something I am too fond of, but it really works well for this storyline. I really wanted to smack a lot of the characters - a sign that Ready wrote them perfectly! This book made me go through so many emotions in such a short time, but mostly they were just plain happiness. It’s brilliant and it’s hard to say too much without giving away the plot. Andrea is a fantastic character while Jace is perfectly flawed but lovable.

I definitely recommend this one to all, but go for the ebook (audio has a name pronounciation problem).

I received an advance review copy from NetGalley and W.W. Crown (Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Titles), and this is my honest feedback.

The Space Between is an amazing epic love story. It just might be the best love story I have ever read. I couldn't have loved it more.

Andi and Jace come from different worlds. She is a socialite and he is from the wrong side of the tracks. Yet they fall in love and start a whirlwind love affair. Their love is everything they need until life tears them apart.

The Space Between starts as a beautiful YA romance and then it rips your heart out. In the best way. Like a guttural punch. It hurt. A LOT. I needed to take a break.

There are so many different types of love in this book. Loving with your heart, loving with your head and loving with everything in the space between. (see what I did there 😉)

Simply, beautiful.

This is the first novel by Sarah Ready I have read and I am more than ready to correct that now I’ve finished The Space Between.

What a beautiful story of love, humanity, class, mistakes, music and second chances and I implore you to pick this up.

Ready’s writing is beautiful, so descriptive and compelling whilst remaining truly accessible. You fully believe in the authenticity of the characters and I their heartbreaking and heartwarming story is one not to be missed!

Jace and Andrea come from two very different worlds. They’re young and idealistic when they first meet. They need nothing but each other and the love that they feel. Sadly nothing lasts forever and a misunderstanding has them going their separate ways. The Space Between follows Jace and Andrea as they grow and learn to live (for better or worse) without each other in the hope that someday, maybe, they might find one another again.

The Space Between is a heart-wrenching second chance romance. This stand-alone novel is told from dual POVs. I generally prefer dual POV and it was definitely necessary with this story.

This book is an absolute “gut punch” in the best way possible. I have nothing in common with either of the main characters but the connection I felt for them is unreal. The storyline is a beautiful if not somewhat tragic journey from start to finish. This book will probably make you cry but the tears are worth it.

I had the opportunity to listen to an early copy of the audiobook after I read through the ebook. It is dual narrated by Rachel F. Hirsch and James Fouhey. I was not previously familiar with either of these narrators but I think they both did an excellent job with the material.

I don’t know how she does it but Sarah Ready continues to wow me with every new release. I'm not sure if my emotions can make it but I'm looking forward to whatever she has for her readers next.

I voluntarily read, listened to, and reviewed advanced copies of this book and audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to NetGalley and W.W. Crown (IBPA)!

I have once again fallen in love with Sarah Ready’s work.
I honestly happened upon Josh and Gemma’s story one day and since then I have decided to always have a Sarah Ready book on my bookshelf. So when I was sent this arc by NetGalley, and the publisher, and the author I was over the moon. Thank you so much for giving me chance to cherish Jace and Andrea’s love.

What can I say here without spoiling the fun for everyone. This story was the definition of opposites attract. Sarah has a way of writing love stories. They are heart wrenching and soulful. She makes me want to believe in love again. When I read French holiday this year I thought I found my favorite couple, but I was so wrong.
This is one bittersweet story that everyone should read. It’s so emotionally riveting that even my review is all over the place.

Once again thank you NetGalley, Social Butterfly PR and the Author for providing me with a ARC.

So, I just finished "The Space Between" by Sarah Ready, and it's a romance novel that promises an epic love story with all the feels. We meet Andrea and Jace, and from the get-go, they're convinced they're meant to be together.

Okay, one cool thing about this book was the audiobook - they had dual narrators! I love audiobooks that do this, I think it adds to the story and mades it more fun.

But here's the thing - I had a bit of trouble feeling super invested in the story. The whole insta-love vibe was way too fast for my taste. Like, seriously, they were head over heels almost immediately, and it felt a bit rushed. I needed more time to believe in their connection and really root for their romance.

The story had potential, and the whole redemption and found family theme was cool. But the quick romance didn't totally work for me. Everyone's different though, so you may find it to be something you’re interested in!

In a nutshell, "The Space Between" delivers on the promise of an epic love story, and the dual narration in the audiobook was a cool touch. But the insta-love thing left me a tad disconnected from the characters and their love. It might still be a fantastic book for you if you're into fast-paced romance, but for me, it didn't hit all the right spots. I would still recommend giving it a try if it sounds like something you would be interested in!

What an emotional book! It was beautifully written. I was emotionally invested in both main characters, their lives, their relationship and their ending. It was well written, the inner thoughts of the characters were realistic and understood. I found myself feeling all the emotions of the characters and wanting to be a part of their lives. A story about growth, about challenges, about love. About what happens with your perfect love story has a challenge thrown its way. How to overcome obstacles, challenges and emotional difficulties. A beautifully written story - just be prepared for the tears.
Thank you netgalley for my advanced reader copy.

The Space Between is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read. This is a book that had me so immersed in the characters and their love story, I never wanted to put it down. It will be on my mind and in my heart for a long time!

Andi and Jace have known since the moment they met that they were meant to be together, even though they were only seventeen at the time.

Coming from different worlds, this is nearly impossible. Andrea (Andi) is from a wealthy family, where she feels like a pawn in their games - and never love. Jace’s life is completely opposite, filled with love of family and friends, but without money.

Jace is the first person to see Andi for who she is, and love her for it. Andi is the one to help pull Jace’s music out of him, something that was lost when his parents died.

We see their lives, their love, and love lost and found over several time periods. This was such an emotional journey for me. It ripped my heart out several times, and thankfully eventually put it back together. My heart is heavy, but full.

I tandem read this - ebook and audiobook - and both were wonderful! The narrators (James Fouhey & Rachel F. Hirsch) did a phenomenal job at capturing the depth and emotions of this love story.

What you’ll find in The Space Between:
⭐️ Different Worlds
⭐️ Soulmates
⭐️ First love
⭐️ Musician
⭐️ Song lyrics
⭐️ Rich girl/poor boy
⭐️ Found family
⭐️ Emotional read
⭐️ Multiple timelines
⭐️ Dual POV/first person

Thank you to NetGalley, W.W. Crown publishing (IBPA), and author Sarah Ready for advanced copies. All opinions are my own.

A remarkable book from an author who heretofore has primarily published light romcoms. There is romance in The Space Between, and there are many light, magical moments, but there are also far heavier moments, when all magic is gone and there is nothing to do but carry on. My attention never wavered, however, and I enjoyed the audiobook so much that I wanted the printed version to follow along. There were many moments when I seriously wondered how the writer was going to conclude her story. Suffice it to say that she did so beautifully. Love is paramount in this story, but it is also a paean to the healing power of music, and I look forward to the day when the book may be turned into a movie and the music will come to life.

I honestly feel so conflicted with my review here...I know this is a book I will constantly think about because this story is so wonderfully told and written, but there were also moments of this book I absolutely hated, but without them this book wouldn't sit with me the way it does. It all works together to create such a beautiful story that will have you laughing, crying, swooning, and so much more. Andi and Jace's story is so heartbreakingly beautiful, and it is about so much more than romantic love that I can't rate it anything less than 5 stars.

Jace and Andi meet just before they turn 18 and graduate high school and the connection they have is instant. Told in three parts this story follows Jace and Andi through three important times in their lives. It tells the story of how music can save you and how love can be some of the most beautiful real life magic a person can experience.

I've sat with this book for a few days now and I'm still blown away by how much this book impacted me. I hate that I don't know what I want to say about this book, it's like I have so much I want to say, but I also don't want to spoil a single thing about this book. The characters are perfect for this story, their connections to each other are perfectly written, and all of it together creates such a powerful story. A story I would highly recommend.

✔️ Different World
✔️ Love Letter to Music
✔️ Found Family
✔️ Complicated and Emotional
✔️ Beautiful Writing
✔️ First Person Dual POV

I adored this book! This is probably my favorite Sarah Ready book now with no doubt. It had a little bit of everything. There's angst, rockstar, friends to lovers, tears and so much more.

Jace and Andrea meet and that's it. They know it's love and of course nothing can come between them because they love each other. Right? Hmmmm. Not necessarily.

Jace is from the wrong side of "the tracks." and Andrea is from so much money it should be sinful. They are complete opposites but yet they work. But when a misunderstanding comes between them, Andrea isn't sure how to move on. In fact, she doesn't do it well. She basically goes through the motions of living without allowing emotion to enter in. Eventually someone from her past helps her to remember that life is made to be lived. And eventually she will see Jace again....but will they ever find their way back to one another or is their time past?

This is simply such a wonderful book. It broke my heart and put it back together and then broke it again and then put it back together several times. There was just so much emotion written into these pages and I soaked it all up. I love it when an author writes a book that makes me feel so much and this was definitely one of those books. It was a true gift.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: I really enjoyed the narration for this book. It kept me engaged and connected to the story. 4 1/2 stars

If you like the Notebook or other romances that slowly rip your heart out until you’re just left with a gaping chasm, then you’ve come to the right place. And then the last five chapters of this book will stitch you back into place!
I loved the first 50% of the book! It felt like the perfect coming-of-age love story about a boy, a girl, and the boy’s guitar. Then the book ripped my heart out and stomped on it. But watching their journeys through life to find each other again slowly stitched me back together.
I love the message about finding someone that will love you for your flaws, which isn’t present only in Jace and Andi’s relationship, but also in Jace’s relationships with his family and band mates and Andi’s relationships with Reid and her mom.

Andi and Jace know they’re meant to be together from their first meeting in Central Park but they are from two different worlds. Jace’s parents were killed in a robbery and he lives in the Bronx, his only aspiration is to become world famous for his music. Andi’s family are extremely wealthy and she must follow the family rules to portray an image to society. AndI longs to have the family unit Jace has, and the freedom from her father’s rule. Jace adores Andi and would do anything for her happiness.

Unfortunately events keep pushing Jace and Andi apart and after 8 years separation they find each other again. However Andi is about to marry someone else. Can Jace convince her of his love and stop her from marrying Reid?

I really enjoyed this one. The characters are really likeable and I was surprised how my opinion of Reid changed. There was a scene when I had to hold back tears. There is beautiful character growth in this story and a lovely ending.

Thank you to @netgalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

"Is it possible to love in more than one way? Then it's also possible to break your heart in more than one way too."

Ugh this book was a rollercoaster! Ripped my heart right open, made me want to scream with anger and frustration, and then sewed me right back up. The journey of Jace and Andi's love was tumultuous and endearing and everything in between. I really loved the reality of Andi's cold, high profile life in comparison to Jace's simple orphaned life with his brothers. The twists and turns had me tearing through the book to find out how the story would end.

I also adored the title and the meaning behind "The Space Between" - although I immediately thought of the DMB song! Despite sneering at Reid and adoring the band at the beginning, I was cheering for Reid and hated how easily the band got off for what they put Andi and Jace through.

"Do you ever feel like that you’ve ended up exactly where you were meant to be? Even if you didn’t know the road was leading this way when you took it? Yes. All the time."

Thank you to NetGalley and W.W. Crown for the opportunity to read this eARC. All opinions are my own.

“What’s your lyric?”

Andi and Jace are the epitome of opposite attract. Andi is from a high society rich family in New York and Jace comes from a broken home, living on the breadline from the Bronx. They meet when Jace is playing music with his brothers and their band in Central Park. Jace gets into some trouble with bullies and Andi saves the day, it is instant attraction. As love blossoms, secrets are unearthed as Andi comes to reveal to Jace that she isn’t in fact Andi but Andrea, living the rich girl life in high society and not fully who he thought she was.

In a whirlwind romance, Andi gives up her high society life. But when it all comes crashing down, she moves back to New York to her family. 8 years later, time has moved on. But do feeling move on with time? What happens in the time they aren’t together - in The Space Between?

I’ll not lie, it took me a good 40% of this book to actually get into it properly. I had both the ebook and the audiobook. I started with the audiobook which I just couldn’t gel with at all, I think it was the voice actors tbh. It just wasn’t for me. After giving it a few days I jumped back into the ebook and persevered. I’m not a real lover of young love romances at all but I did really enjoy this (from 40%).

Pros -
* multiple POV
* Opposites attract
* Second chance love
* Enemies to lovers
* Emotive writing
* Smidge of 🌶️
* Great character development!

Cons -
* slow slow start
* It’s really quite long imo
* Huge trigger warnings (please check Goodreads prior to reading)
* Slight serendipitous that could be plausible (but not awful I promise)

I’m a mood reader and I think I would have loved this book so much more if I had read it at the right time. But saying that, give it a read. The pros really do our weight the cons with this and I hope to re read it one day!!

Thanks to @netgalley for giving me an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review. (The audiobook is available instantly on Netgalley btw)

This bittersweet story of love, grief, betrayal, loss, overcoming obstacles, and family relationships, kept me reading and wanting more. I was invested in Andrea and Jace’s story that I found myself rooting for them, being emotional while reading it. I like the story flow, how the characters develop, and the dual POV that gives us a chance to see how they think and how realistic they are. This is my first book by Sarah Ready and I can say it will not be my last.

I really have no idea if I rated this book correctly. This book made me want to scream and throw the book across the room then call everyone I know to read it so that they can experience the same pain as I’ve endured over the last two days. I’ve really enjoyed Sarah Ready’s writing in the past, but this book was so full of emotion that I’m in awe. The book was also painful. This book could have been named Miscommunication, since that was at the core. It was like Jace and Andi kept barely missing each other, and it was so infuriating, but I just couldn’t look away.

I loved Jace and Andi’s love story. Their first chance at love reminded me a lot of Billy and Camilla in Daisy Jones and the Six if Billy were a better guy. I loved hearing both of their perspectives and Jace is the guy you hope that all famous rock stars truly are.

Without too much spoiling, the second half of the book had me wanting to scream. I was so frustrated, but not in a bad way. If you want epic love story, that’s definitely this book!

I also grew to really like Reid. While I don’t exactly like what ended up happening with him, I appreciate how this book has a lot of different layers as to what love is.

Also, this book needs so many content warnings…

Unpopular opinion.
It started really well. The first 3-4 chapters were interesting. I liked the writing/language; it's very good but after some chapters, it began to seem a little dull. Every single thing is described in detail that I didn't really want to know.

And, I'm not a fan of teenage love stories (which goes upto 31 chapters) or insta-love thing (it's love at first sight). Maybe that's why it didn't work for me.

Also, this book has 74 chapters; too long and slow to keep me hooked.

Thank you for the copy. Sorry, it didn't work for me.

The Space Between was beautiful on audio and kindle version bringing two very different love stories to life. Andrea and Jace meet by chance one afternoon in New York and begin a whirlwind romance that takes them both by surprise. Andrea comes from a wealthy family and lacks for nothing except love from her mother. Jace is an orphan being brought by his older brothers but musically talented and surrounded by the love and support of his family. Andrea and Jace think their love is invincible but it gets put through tests and people they trust interfere and separate them. This story is special allowing you to fall in love with two different love stories.
