So I for one love books set in nyc I don’t know why but I always have. Maybe because my mom lives in nyc but yeah I love it. Their meet cute was adorably chaotic which is nice and I love a long love story. I will be recommending this to my friends it’s just a fun story and easy to follow along

This book was so good. Characters kept my interest, even the secondary ones. The story being told over time and in two perspectives really set this one apart. I laughed, cried, got mad...basically all the "book emotions" that make for a great story. The writing style reminds me a bit of JD Salinger, one of my favorite authors. Highly recommend!

ALL. THE. STARS.

5 big, shiny, bright stars - this book has it all!!It’s official, this is my favourite romance of 2023 so far! This is my first book by author Sarah Ready, and it was a long one! I typically shy away from long books (this one was 540 pages!) but it felt so short, and I flew through it switching between audio and ebook. (Note: audiobook was so well done alternating between male and female voices which created an awesome dynamic)

The story between Jace and Andrea was just so heartfelt, beautiful, and quite frankly felt like a rollercoaster of emotions. It was a deep heartbreaking love that seeped through the pages, and I just did not want it to end. I will definitely be picking up this book when it releases.

I recommend this book if you enjoy:
- Contemporary romance genre
- First love and soulmates
- Rich vs. Poor / Upper East Side vs. The Bronx / Star-crossed lovers
- Dual POV
- Strangers to lovers tropes
- Second chance romance tropes
- Young love to adult romance
- Finding your person
- Overcoming impossible situations
- Time jumps
- Romantic connections through music
- Giving up everything for love
- Situations that come full circle
- Stories that take place in New York City

Trigger Warnings: Mention of accidental drug overdose, cancer, death, parental abandonment, cheating/infidelity

Sarah Ready does not disappoint with “The Space Between”, a brilliant story about the how two soulmates from different backgrounds find their way to each other despite what life throws their way. Heartfelt and riveting, I couldn’t put this book down once I started it. The premise of the book isn’t a new one, and while I tend to find comfort in storylines I’ve read before, Ms. Ready adds enough twists and turns to make this story her own.

I was sucked into this book in the firsts few pages, when we jump right into a pivotal moment in Jace and Andi’s relationship. What I loved so much about this story is just how easy it was for me to love both Jace and Andi. Neither is perfect, neither makes the perfect decision all the time, but there wasn’t a point where one of them disappointed me. I loved Jace and his relationship with his family, in both good and bad times. I loved Andi and Reid, so much so that I found myself confused at times on who I wanted to end up with who.

Selfishly, the only thing I am disappointed in is how well Ms. Ready ties up this story at the end, because it means we probably won’t get a sequel. If if that’s the worst thing I can say about this book though, I think I will survive. This is the second book book I’ve read by Ms. Ready and the second book I’ve loved, so I think I’ve found another must read author to add to my list. A great beach read, a great romance that focuses more on the characters than the steam, I really can’t think of anything bad to say about this book, and I really hope it gets the attention it deserves.

Sometimes, you need a book to break your heart into a million pieces. The Space Between does that.

We're first introduced to Andi and Jace when they're teenagers. Jace is a poor kid from the Bronx who grew up with parents who loved each other deeply. A true, bone-deep love that made them inseparable even in death. Andi is a rich, privileged girl from a cold-hearted family. She masquerades as someone below her station because she's tired of being lonely. As soon as she and Jace see each other, they know they're meant to be.

Part 1 of the book follows young Jace and Andi as they learn to love each other, and Jace and his brothers pursue a music career. It ends in utter heartbreak and devastation, and you will bawl your eyes out.

Part 2 occurs later, and Andi is reunited with someone from her past. He's different than he used to be, and he seems to really care about Andi and want her to be happy. While Part 1 broke my heart, Part 2 absolutely stomped on it. I messaged the author at 2 am because I was so upset and invested in these characters. Part 2 was beautiful and tragic and I can't stop thinking about it.

Part 3 is where we get our HEA, so if you get through the other two parts and wonder if you'll ever be okay again, keep going!!!

The Space Between is bleak and beautiful. It's full of tragedy with an undercurrent of pure love. Andi, Jace, and the third person whose identity would be a huge spoiler are such well-formed characters. You feel every piece of disappointment and excitement right alongside them. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I think there were too many tragedies. I needed these three to get some wins, and while they eventually did, my heart wanted more. I think it says a great deal about the writing style to evoke such strong feelings in the reader!

Thank you, NetGalley and Sarah Ready, for the opportunity to review this book. All thoughts are my own.

The Space Between by Sarah Ready

Characters: 5/5
Plot: 5/5
Pace: 5/5
Overall Enjoyment: 5/5

Oh my goodness. I could not stop reading this book with its characters that had me totally invested until the end. When they said it was an emotional rollarcoaste, they meant it. The blurb is definitely what caught my eye and this is not normally the genre I read but I really thought it sounded great……and IT WAS!

Andi has felt like a pawn in her family of wealth and privilege, Jace is not from wealth but has learned what the power music can do for your soul. Together they were meant to be but the space between them almost changed it all. Full of love, music and humor, I cannot say how many times I cried, cried harde and then laughed. The ending was one that I think everyone that reads this book will have rooted for. This book reminds me of something Jo Jo Moyes would write and this one should also be a movie as well…. At least I think so.

Release date July 25 2023 I cannot wait

Thank you to NetGalley as well as the author and publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my unbiased and honest review!

I've never been more emotionally invested in two characters as I was while reading The Space Between. What a captivating and heart warming story. There were tears shed on more than one occasion. It's very rare that a book can do that.
I haven't been much into romance books lately because I feel the majority of them are lacking a good story and well developed characters. The Space Between is definitely not lacking and kept me glued to the pages the entire time. I highly recommend to read this one (and keep tissues close by)!

The Space Between is another great book by Sarah Ready. I read it in less than 24 hours because I couldn’t put it down. I went through so many emotions while reading this book. It was a great love story, but it wasn’t just about the romance of Andi and Jace, it also touched upon family drama, loss, grief, deception, wealth, parenting, and love. Andrea’s mother made me cry the most, as Andi really needed her. This book was definitely an emotional ride! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to read The Space Between!

The Space Between is perfect for JoJo Moyes and Colleen Hoover fans. Beautifully written and the characters are very likeable. It moved a little slow for me. Overall its a beautiful story about connection in places you least expect and perseverance.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this arc.

Andi comes from a wealthy family, but feels like she doesn’t belong. Jace doesn’t come from privilege, but shares a passion for music with his brothers. When they meet, they have an instant connection. Their love isn’t easy, but they go through many challenges and hurdles throughout their lives.

I really enjoyed this read. I wasn’t expecting to cry. In the beginning, I wouldn’t have guessed that I would be team Reid or be devastated by what happened to him. I enjoyed his character arc the most. Not going to lie, by the wedding I was 100% team Reid but overall enjoyed the end of the book and how all the storylines wrapped out.

wow wow wow oh wow 🥹🥹🥹🥹 the EMOTIONS I went through reading this book.

I mad cried, sad cried, love cried. I went through it with this book. I didn’t know if I was going to end this book with heartbreak or not. But the read and twist and story was so so worth it.

Wealthy girl meets poor boy and their fates were sealed. A love you literally only see with soul mates. However life and space between really break this story up and I just couldn’t get enough of it. I have so many notes on my kindle from my reactions throughout and whole heartedly give this book a 5+ star read.

Get your copy in July 25th if you need some sap in your life because 😭🥹🥰

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an eARC of this book in return for an honest review.

This story was absolutely beautiful. It’s a story of love, loss, pain, finding the light in the dark, and forgiveness. The audiobook of this story was beautiful and well recorded. I loved that we have a male and female narrator for the two perspectives. I love that this wasn’t a straightforward romance where you expect 1+1 to equal 2. You get what can actually happen in life. You get a different perspective and road traveled. This story was beautifully written and I hate that I can’t keep reading the character’s stories. I highly recommend this book.

Book: The Space Between By Sarah Ready
Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope:Rich girl-poor guy, star-crossed lovers,love triangle.
Publication:25th July 2023

I was not ready for this book after josh and Gemma by Sarah, I knew she was a phenomenal writer but honestly, this book just raised the bar.

Jace and Andy… where do I even begin without giving away their story, It won’t be fair to the book and to you readers as this book is THAT GREAT and the thought of spoiling it by writing more in this review will be an absolute shame.

But I will leave you with this… this book is about a beautiful friendship between a boy and a girl coming from two very different worlds, making their way into their own, it’s about finding yourself, being true to yourself and overcoming heartbreak, betrayal and love.

Thank you NetGalley and W.W Crown independent publishing for the ARC copy.

This was a really beautiful story. I read French Holiday by Sarah Ready and really liked her writing and this one did not disappoint. There wasn’t anything I disliked about the book, the characters were so likeable and passionate and Jace and Andi’s love story was beautiful, I loved seeing how much they grew over time. This book is great for anyone who enjoys a whirlwind romance!

I don’t know if my heart will ever recover! This story was so much more than just a love story! This story was the beautiful and the ugly of love and family!

Andrea and Jace seemed to be destined for forever but life, family and friends got in the way.

Andrea and Jace were friends before anything else and that friendship grew to more, but it was a more that neither was ready for because not everyone wanted a HEA for them!

This books does have 3 parts and each part is more emotional than the last but when they finally get things right oh is it absolute beauty. I don’t think I was ready for this book because it absolutely stole my breathe and my heart. I’m in awe at the story and the writing. I love how much love these two had and how things all fall away when they see each other.

Be ready for a very beautiful read!

4.5 rounded to 5

“You don’t have to do anything to make me love you, I’m already gone.”

“You used to be fire, not ice.”

This novel is a little different from any other Sarah Ready book that I’ve read. For one, it was pretty long BUT that’s because there were so many layers to the story. I really think that the longer novel suited this story. There was love, loss, despair, hope, betrayal, forgiveness, understanding and closure in so many ways. It sort of had some elements that reminded me of Aladdin (Jasmine) and Frozen (ice queen anyone?)

I felt like I truly knew every character in this book. Sarah really packed a lot of character development into this novel and what’s even more impressive is that she did it with NUMEROUS characters without “doing too much.” Everything flowed so well in

Usually I shy away from longer books but I’m going through Sarah Ready’s entire catalog so I was committed to trying this one and I’m so glad I did.

The first proposal that Andrea gets was so cute. I could just see it as playing out in my head.

The celebration at the hotel when the band got their big break had me sooooo stressed out. I wanted to scream!

Paul’s backstory was something I never expected. I love how good of a friend he was to Jace and his brothers. He was the level headed person in the group.

I initially got frustrated with Andrea’s mom and was worried that part of the story wouldn’t be wrapped up, but I trusted the process and got what I needed.

I just love Sarah Ready…her work never fails to capture my heart, so it’s no surprise that I adored this book too. Well done.

I absolutely recommend this for book clubs because there is so much to discuss.

I’m typically not a big fan of a love triangle, but this one was beautiful. The way Andi discovers the different ways in which she loves different people is simply stunning.

The plot took place over a 13-year span of time. Had I known that from the start, I probably wouldn’t have gotten so disillusioned with the ending of part one, which literally broke me. I was so devastated that I couldn’t pick this book back up for a full week. Watch out, people. But it gets so much better. Like, hearts in my eyes, “I think I just fell in love with a fictional character” better.

So I felt like the characters were really strong in this book. Sarah Ready gave us character growth for basically every major player in the story. And that felt so refreshing. So rewarding. The payoff is so good because we’ve seen so much growth literally everywhere. Also, I will love Reid forever. That’s all.

Overall, this book made me laugh and also made me sob. I didn’t know my heart could squeeze so much while reading a book. Thank you, Sarah Ready, W.W. Crown, and NetGalley for this ARC. I loved it.

Jace and Andi have quite the love story. I enjoyed their journey from their teens, to rich vs poor lifestyle, siblings, twisted parents, and it goes on.
It was an easy read, and well written. At times, you want to scream and say come on! Really? But it’s worth continuing. I really enjoyed it.
