This is one of the best books I’ve read this year!!!
Everyone should read this book!
A powerful, life changing, heart wrenching, soul filling story.
I loved ALL the characters. It was so beautifully written. Just utterly fantastic. It pulls you in and won’t let you go.
Get ready to cry and laugh and cry some more. And when you’re done, your heart will feel so full you’ll think it might just explode.
If you loved Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren or Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover I think you’ll adore this book.
5/5 Stars!!!!
Thank you so much for this amazing and beautiful ARC!!
I literally just finished this book and jumped out of bed to write this review. Not even five minutes ago, and im not exaggerating. This...this book is probably the most powerful book I have read all year. I feel like i have an entirely new out look on life, and hope burning in my chest- this book was beautiful inside and out.
(I feel so bad it took me so long to read, but as one of the themes in this book stated– things happen for a reason, I was meant to read this book now and not when i originally received the ARC, stick with me i promise it will make sense!!)
A second chance romance, a book of loss, grief, growth...of life. I mean i legit am at a loss of how to even sit and write this review, besides telling you to go get this book, a box of tissues, and an emotional support snack. I'm not even going to give a mini synopsis, just go get it and trust me. Reid, Andi, and Jace will forever have my heart completely.
This book showcased many different topics, such as materialism can only do so much in your life if love is not present, finding yourself, redemption, realizing that there are different types of love in the world, and the fact that we can and do have multiple different connections with people even if we don't quite know the reasoning behind them, and even how love and trust really are the answer to many problems or misunderstandings. That the universe does have a plan, and that although the road to the finish line may not be linear (and usually is not in any way shape or form) that we have to be patient and allow life to flow.
This book sucked me in the best way possible. For all my anime watchers out there, have you ever watched an anime where the animators out did themselves? Where the animation was so pretty, so filled with life that it almost glowed off the screen?? (some examples of this to me would be Violet Evergarden, Bubble, any studio Ghibli film, Fruits Basket, etc.) The anime usually has at least one scene of a beautiful field and the sunlight shining just right– thats how this book read to me. The vibrant verbiage and descriptions, its almost like love and hope poured out of this book in waves and wrapped itself around me as i was reading it.
I LOVED how this read. I LOVED how this flowed. I have no critiques if I'm being honest. I am at a loss of words in the best way possible.
I just.....if you haven't put this book on your TBR yet, please do. And read it when it calls to you, when you are ready, when you really feel it. Or dive into this. You won't regret it besides the fact that your eyes will definitely sweat. Sarah Ready out did herself, and I know I'm about two months late. Yet this was beautiful.
TLDR; go get the book. Go get your tissues. Change your life LOLOLOL.
"I didn't need to make up a story about him. The story was already there. He was mine. And I was his. I felt it, like someone had reached out, shaken me, and said, "That boy, that one right there? He's yours. And you are his." - Andi.
"It took one look to fall for her. It's taken two weeks to never want to be without her." - Jace.
"...but you don't have room for hate or bitterness when there's this much love."
I think those lines pretty summed up where the story started. There's nothing else I could say about this but I've been so immersed in the story, I love both Andi and Jace. I love their whirlwind romance blossoming from a teen/first love romance into matured one, with many painful twists and turns. This story not only serves the whole heartbreaking and emotional romance, but also took us to look at how love between parents and their children, siblings, and the family you've chosen grows, hurts each other, and to heal and forgive each other.
I also love how this story not just telling us about true love, but allowing us to welcome a new love which by any means not replacing an old one, but embrace us to feels all the kind of love exists in the world.
I also love the story about band, Sarah Ready really highlight the process of the rock stars in the making from their first kick to their high and lows, on and off stage. I think this book is my favorite one from her so far.
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for the e-ARC in exchange for honest review.
I honestly didn't really love this but it was fine. I really did like the premise of this but the love triangle kind of through me through a loop. I wasn't a huge fan of it plus love triangles is one of my least favorite trope. I did enjoy the writing of it, but the story just wasn't for me.
I love Sarah Ready so I was super thrilled for this book! For some reason I put it off and I terribly regret doing so! This was such a phenomenal, emotional story. Seriously, I was not prepared for the level of emotional damage even though all the reviews talked about it. Once I settled into the story, I couldn’t put it down. I loved that while, yes it’s a romance, it’s more about different types of love, family, the power of music and redemption. I can’t even really put into words my feelings, but just do yourself a favor and read it asap if you haven’t.
As I started this book I had an idea of where the tone and narrative would end up by the end. Little did I know that Sarah Ready was going to completely obliterate all expectations in the best way possible. I didn't want this story to end. Every character felt fully realized and even when I disagreed with one's choices I could see the thought process behind their actions. Every twist and turn genuinely surprised me and felt organic. Definitely a book I'd recommend to all!
Such a beautifully written novel! I adored this character driven contemporary romance. Jace and Andi's love story had me in tears. I loved the growth of all the characters , and that music and grace played such a part of this novel. The Space Between was a slow build of a book in the best way. It made me want to savor every moment life has to offer me. Thank you so much to the publisher W.W. Crown and NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review. This was my first novel by Sarah Ready and I'm excited to explore her blacklist of books now.
Thank you to W. W. Crown, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Audiobooks and NetGalley for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This is my second book by this author and I dragged my feet on this one. The first one I read was a bit corny and a silly not totally believable romance, still likable just didn't make me love the author.
So when I started this one , I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The character development and small secrets revealed were very well done, with a completely believable romance(s) that left me feeling complete!
Loved, loved loved this story! I have also listened to the audio version of this story and was completely taken in...
Recommended for all fans of romance , new adult and contemporary stories
This book broke me! I think I cried more than in any other book I’ve previously heard. So much heartbreak, so much love, so much living is enclosed in this book. And yet, it’s very positive, there’s no rancor, only love and best wishes for the one they love.
Andi and Jace met in Central Park, one day Jace was busking with his brothers and friends, then bullies from his school came and thrashed him. Andi came to his rescue, ran the bullies away and they became best friends on that day, just because Andi declared it.
Jace’s parents died years ago, and his older brother Dean is raising him and his brother River. They are all musical prodigies, they play to raise money for food. But they have ambitions to play for the world, to help people with their music. Andi immediately attached to them, and follows them to their house, to their practices and to their gigs.
Andi is really Andrea Leighton-Hughes, daughter of a mega billionaire who lives in the top four floors of The Tower, a building that is decadently and ridiculously decorated. In spite of her riches, she’s lonely and loveless, since her mother ignores her and her father only sees his children as tools for his prestige and reputation. Only with Jace does she feel seen and appreciated.
Their story is turbulent, charged with emotions, and doomed by the disapproval of Jace’s big brother who sees Andi as a hindrance. They are torn apart more than once, by tragic events out of their control. What is extraordinary is that the love is always present, and there is no regret, no hate, no anger. Only love and the sadness that they are not together.
“I send her all my love, I send her my wishes for happiness, and this time around, if she hears me singing, I hope she feels only joy.”
It’s an emotional rollercoaster, narrated in beautiful prose and detailed descriptions, full of beautiful characters and not so beautiful characters. I was enthralled throughout the whole book!
I’m not a huge romance reader, but The Space Between absolutely has me rethinking the space that romance should have on my bookshelves. If they were all written by Sarah Ready, then SIGN ME UP - because The Space Between was positively one of the most heart warming things that I’ve read in ages. I’d describe it as a hug from a friend who you’ve been missing for ages- one that just keeps getting better and better. Five stars! I couldn’t put this one down until the very last page!
Thank you NetGalley for this book. It was out of my comfort zone to read this type of book. My friend recommended it and I had to read it. I did enjoy it. I think it would be a great movie as well. It talked about different characters in life and how they handle situations. I do wish we got to see a bit more of one particular character, but understand why that could not happen. I would read more books by this author and recommend to others.
Prepare a box of tissues, prepare your heart and prepare your brain before embarking on this completely heartbreaking and beautiful read. This was my first by @sarahready and it will not be my last. She is a master storytellers, has a way with words and the way she crafted this story was PERFECTION!
This book completely rocked me. My poor heart. It really touched me deeply, how when you love someone truly you never stop no matter the obstacles. It was such a beautiful love story with twists and turns that will make your jaw drop. I loved that it wasn't predictable. I loved the dual POV from Andi and Jace, we truly got to see deep inside each others thoughts, feelings and life. It truly made me so invested in the story.
Andi and Jace were just beautiful together, beautifully complex characters with their specific problems. Everything wanting to tear them apart. The side characters were also a great addition to the book and do take a big part. They felt so real, true and authentic.
I listened to this one and let me tell you the narrators did a fantastic job with the characterization of Andi and Jace. They kept me interested, completely invested in their love story.
If you're looking for a heart wrenching, deeply moving and beautiful love story. Don't miss out!!
✨️Thank you to @netgalley, W.W Crown(IBPA) & @sarahready for my free ARC & ALC in exchange for an honest review.
Andrea Leighton-Hughes knows how to hide behind a mask being famously wealthy her world is full of lies and manipulation and she's used as a pawn in her families games and shes never known real friendships or love.
Jace Morgans life has been filled with despair and everyday is a struggle with his one constant being music which he pours his life into.
When the two meet at seventeen they know they're meant to be but when no-one understands their love and obstacles get thrown in their way how can they prove their meant to be forever.
This was a heartwarming and heartbreaking story. Sarah Ready makes you really feel for the characters and makes you connect with them so well. I liked how every aspect of love was explored and how it was never straight forward and there was always some hurdle to jump. I liked Andrea and Jaces relationship I only wish there was a bit more nearer the end.
Highly recommend for a quick romance read.
The Space Between. What a story. I always love reading a Sarah Ready novel. She takes us through time with this one. It's the end of high school and you find a girl that turns your world upside down. She becomes your everything and you haven't felt feelings like this since your parents died. When your band gets your big break, you have to take it. Your brothers and your closest friend know you all will never get out of the Bronx if you don't take this opportunity.
When you find out who your girlfriend's dad is, and how he feels about you, you begin to lose hope. She continues to surprise you and you begin your life together. Things are actually going a lot better than expected, when the other foot drops. You come back to your hotel room and she's gone. She's taken the keys and the car and split. Your brother watched her leave.
Years later you're walking through the same area you met her all the years ago, and there she is....with the man who she was once fighting to get off of you. They're getting married in just a few days and you know she doesn't love him.
Read The Space Between to find out what happens to jace and Andi! This Gossip Girl type novel takes you through all walks of life. The relationships run deep, which mean so do the secrets and betrayals. There's many hoops to jump through to get to the end, but every one is worth it. The pace of this was good and overall enjoyment was high! I honestly started it as a wash book just to add to the 2023 challenge, but it ended up beig one of my tops of the year! READ IT!
#Netgalley I was so lucky to be offered this book in return for an honest review.
Andi & Jace's love story is beautifully told over many years, despite them coming from totally different backgrounds. Lots of twists & turns, betrayals, hurt but also lots of love.
I don't want to give too much away but the ending is very much worth waiting for.
I've never read anything by this author before but I'll definitely be looking for other books now.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read such an amazing book.
This was such a remarkably moving roller coaster journey between Andrea and Jace! I was so deeply captivated throughout this book I was never once bored. It’s a tad bit longer than I would have liked, to be completely honest, but none the less still had my undivided attention whether I was 100 pages in or 400 pages in. I think its a lovely coming of age story, that follows their path back to each other time and time again.
I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. This review is honest, unbiased, and completely my own.
So much emotion!!!! In the best possible way!!
Good plot twists.
You root for Jace and Andrea from the start!
You do kind of forget about Jace during one of the plot twists. The couple is put through so much. So many emotions!
The book is separated into 3 parts.
Definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed reading this even though in the first half I felt a little bored, but this is the type of book that the more you read, the better it feels.
Overall, I like it. I think this book is suitable for those of you who like romance type books.
I came across this book while scrolling down trying to find something to read and both the cover and title really caught my eye, so i decided to give it a try. I went in blind, not knowing what it would be about not even in which categories did it fit and that's something I don't usually do but I'm really glad I did in this case.
For me it was a very heart warming story told in a very easy going writing style which made not want to stop reading.
I'd say it takes place in a somewhat unrealistic scenario, but that's what I look for when reading romances, I want it to be dreamy not extremely realistic. Some parts definitely hit close to home and brought tears to my eyes.
With good background stories and well developed characters, a very sweet story about once in a lifetime love and how you can love in more than one way.
A book I wish I could experience for the first time again.
A story of the one that got away. The love that they shared as teenagers how they still feel for each other right years later and their second chance at happiness.
