It's hard to rave about a book that made you cry without giving away spoilers, but the writing was evocative, and this book is a beautiful masterpiece.

The story spans over fourteen years and is divided into three parts:

Part 1 - Jace and Andi gave me Jack & Rebecca vibes from This Is Us (rich girl x poor guy, she leaves everything for him, one of them is a singer) I loved the 'young love' feels and I cried through the last four chapters ๐Ÿ’”

Part 2 - I lost count how many times I teared up. Reid and Andrea's story was poignant and heartbreaking. Also, the surprising turn of events had me speechless.

Part 3 - To sum up what I went through, this book is a "kill me, heal me." Although my heart never fully healed, even with the perfect HEA โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน Claudia's the cutest tho ๐Ÿฅน

This is my second book by Sarah Ready and I am blown away again. She does emotion so well. The characters that are flawed making bad decisions and growing but staying true to who they are. This is an emotional book and you can see that there is a lot of love that went into it.

I love me a good romance novel but sometimes they get a little too heated for me. I thought this book had the perfect amount of spice and the twists and turns kept me interested. I would have loved more of part 2 and the relationship formed in those pages (trying to keep this spoiler free). Honestly I felt like this could have been a 3 book series because I would have loved to delve more into these characters and this world.

jace and andrea met when they were just teenagers on a fateful day in central park. however, they come from opposite sides of the track. andrea was born into one of the wealthiest families in new york city while jace lives in the bronx and makes a meager living playing small musical gigs with his brothers around town. despite their differences, the two have an unbreakable connection but it may not be enough to keep them together as life threatens to tear them apart.

this was such an emotional and bittersweet love story that had me feeling everything from anger to heartbreak to love. told in dual POVs, I loved getting to see both andrea and jace's perspective and really seeing how deep their emotional connection was and the effect they had on one another.

something unique about this romance was the way that we see our main characters go through their lives, spanning the course of approximately 15 years, and how their love changes and is lost and found throughout it. I was so invested in their story and their lives that I would literally get mad when things didn't go how I wanted them to. especially the ending of the book was just so good! it fully ripped my heart out but managed to put it back together by the end. my only quip is that the beginning was a bit slow for me and at times I wasn't super connected with the writing style but ultimately the story and ending completely redeemed itself for me!

this book covers so many poignant topics from grief to parenthood to found family and just so much more. such a beautiful and emotional story that I would definitely recommend picking up (although warning it might make you cry lol)

Andrea "Andi" Leighton-Hughes comes from the upper crust of New York society. Her family is cruel and cold, and she has never felt loved by them. She is sick of being a pawn in her father's business empire and craves a life where she can just be herself, rather than the role she was born into. One night, she meets Jace Morgan, a struggling musician, in Central Park and saves him from a brutal beating. They form an almost-instant connection and fall in love quickly - with Andi leaving her world behind to follow Jace and his brothers on tour after they both graduate from high school. A cruel twist of fate drives them apart, and their promises of forever to each other are shattered. Eight years later, they meet again in New York, and Jace is convinced this is their second chance, but Andi marries another man. Five years after that, they have another chance encounter that Jace questioning everything he thought he knew.

This book was absolutely incredible. After reading Ready's French Holiday earlier this year, I was so excited to see another new release from her and this one did not disappoint. I think I'd even say I enjoyed it more, and I LOVED French Holiday! This story was so tender, heartbreaking, life-affirming, joy-filled, and brilliant. Watching Jace and Andi navigate life both together and apart over the many phases they encountered was so compelling and I was thinking about these characters when I wasn't reading. There were so many twists, turns, tears, and triumphs in this story. This is a story about great love, but also about the strength to pick yourself up after a devastating heartbreak. I loved this story so much and can't wait to read more from Sarah Ready! She's become a go-to author for me.

A breathtaking and emotionally charged journey that wrecked me in the best possible way! This book has quickly become my new favorite from the talented Sarah Ready, and for a good reason.

In this heartbreakingly beautiful tale, Sarah weaves a mesmerizing story of first love, second chances, and finding your way back to happiness even when life throws its toughest curveballs. Jace, the aspiring rock star, and Andrea, the lonely heiress, are from completely different worlds, yet their love story takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions that will leave you gasping for breath and reaching for tissues.

Sarah Ready's writing is so captivating that it had my heart melting in some moments and breaking in others. The way she crafts the characters and their journey is nothing short of masterful. Jace and Andrea's connection is so beautifully portrayed, and their chemistry is palpable, drawing you deeply into their world.

The Space Between will have you experiencing a whirlwind of emotions, from heartache to hope, and everything in between. It's a story that grips your heart and refuses to let go, leaving you utterly mesmerized from start to finish.

Two people from opposite sides of the track meet in Central Park and fall in love. Jace Morgan is a musician whose family knows all too well the struggles of life. A family without parents who is forced to continue and find success in the music industry. Andrea Leighton-Hughes wishes she wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth if it meant not being used by her family to advance themselves in a cutthroat world.

Andi runs away with Jace after their clandestine meeting in Central Park, and they try to build a life for themselves on their own terms. The pressures of being from completely different worlds force them apart. Eight years later, they meet again..but can they reconcile their differences, or is it too much?

I am a complete sucker for the right love at the wrong time, and this read was *chef's kiss*. Sarah Ready takes us on an emotional journey filled with angst and heartbreak, and she soothes our suffering with romance and happily ever afters.

I really enjoyed the push-and-pull dynamic between Jace and Andi throughout the years. We literally grow along with them as individuals and as a couple. We get so much depth in the development of their characters, and throughout the story, I found them consistently relatable.

If you need a heavier-than-usual romance read as the summer unwinds, this is a fantastic pick.

Wow. Just wow. This book had me running late to an appointment and sitting in my car crying at 1pm on a Thursday just so I could finish it.

The Space Between is a contemporary fiction story following the lives of our two main characters, Andi and Jace, over the span of almost two decades as life circumstances kept pulling them apart and bringing them back together. This story navigates the nuances of difficult family dynamics and force the reader and the characters to realize that our perception of situations may not always be reality. There are unexpected twists and turns that made it a bit of an emotional rollercoaster in the best way! After finishing, I immediately ordered this book so I can have it as an addition in my home library!

Read if you love:
- Dual POV
- Character driven stories
- Emotional
- Found family

Jace and Andrea's love story had me invested from the start. They met in Central Park, and you could feel the sparks flying off the pages. Andi, a wealthy Upper East Sider, breaks free from the snobby rich girl stereotype, while Jace, a Bronx musician with a rough past, is truly inspiring. Their journey is filled with ups and downs, heartbreak, betrayal, and all the obstacles that had me rooting for them even harder. I listened to the audiobook narrated by James Fouhey and Rachel F. Hirsch, and it was spot-on! Their performances brought the characters to life in such an engaging way. James perfectly captured Jace's emotions, while Rachel added depth to Andrea's perspective. Their chemistry made the romantic moments even more heartfelt. This book is an epic love story with all the feels, and the audiobook narration takes it to a new level. I couldn't put it down, and Sarah Ready's writing is fantastic! I can't wait for more from her!

Sarah Readyโ€™s upcoming novel, The Space Between, is an emotional roller coaster. Thank you NetGalley and WW Crown for an eARC in exchange for an honest review. I definitely recommend checking the content warnings on this one. For spoiler purposes, Iโ€™m not listing them here.

This is Sarah Readyโ€™s best book yet!! It was a little insta-love, which I donโ€™t usually go for, but I loved it here. Jace and Andi had amazing chemistry and it was easy to root for them from the very first page.

The character I want to talk about most though is Reid Shilling. He is the most dynamic character Iโ€™ve ever read. When I first started reading this book, I hated him so much, he was my least favorite character in the while book. But before I knew it, Iโ€™d fallen head over heals in love with him.
Iโ€™m
This book had very funny moments, but it also had rip-your-heart-out sad moments. This is probably the closest Iโ€™ve come to crying while reading a book.

If youโ€™re going to read just one book by Sarah Ready, make it this one. The Space Between will be published on July 25.

Its been a while since a book has completely grabbed me and made me want to slowly savor it. This is my first from this author, but you can bet it won't be my last. From the beginning, you felt the angst that was surely going to play a big part of most of this story. Watching it all unfold was heartbreaking, surprising as heck as well as such a beautiful love story (or is it stories?). The gasps that I was emitting at certain parts of the story had my friends and husband laughing at me and asking what's wrong. A new favorite recommendation from me.

Unfortunately, this novel falls short of expectations. The writing style feels amateurish and reminiscent of poor quality work on Wattpad. The characters lack depth, coming across as one-dimensional, which hinders their believability. Additionally, the plot feels unrealistic, making it difficult to fully immerse oneself in the story. Overall, a disappointing read for those seeking a more engaging and well-crafted romance novel.

REVIEW

Andrea (Andi) is from the affluent Upper East Side, the daughter of a manipulative billionaire, while Jace is a musician from South Bronx, trying to make ends meet with his brothers and their friends in their band. Despite coming from two completely different worlds, they form an unlikely but immediate friendship that quickly develops into something much more profound. But can their love survive their differences?
I could write pages about how much I loved this book. There were so many twists. Whenever I thought I had a read on a character, they'd surprised me. Following the lives of Jace and Andi over almost two decades, from their first meeting when they are seventeen, there's swoony, overwhelming love, heartbreaking losses, so much angst, and the most satisfying HEA. Be prepared to cry. Chapters 28-31, 40, 45-55, 58, 60, 62, and 63 in particular absolutely wrecked me... Seriously. I cried SO many times!
I absolutely adored Jace from the start. He was such a sweet, pure soul, and I loved how deeply he loved. Andi was such an interesting character. On one hand, able to act cold and aloof, on the other filled with the capacity for so much love. Their connection was so beautiful. The book is filled with so many well-written secondary characters. In particular, I loved Pauly, River, and the character who plays a huge part in the second part of the story (no spoilers). Once again, the author was able to make me care about those characters who've done awful things. I genuinely think this epic story would make the most amazing miniseries.
I was also fortunate enough to be able to listen along to the audiobook, expertly voiced by Rachel F. Hirsch and James Fouhey who were able to add a whole other dimension of emotion, evoking every single nuance of this incredibly beautiful story.

Sarah Ready has once again crafted the most exquisite, heartbreakingly beautiful love story, and I BEG everyone to read/listen to it.

There was a lot to unpack in this book. To be honest, I think it was almost two separate books. I would have rated each of those books 4+ stars but the two separate stories didnโ€™t really merge together that well. I donโ€™t want to say too much or Iโ€™ll have to mark the review with spoilers. That being said, I did connect with the characters!

Thank you, Sarah Ready, W.W. Crown and Netgalley for the gifted ebook.

Jace and Andrea come from two entirely different worlds. Jace grew up in the Bronx and plays in a band with his brothers. Andrea is from a wealthy family on the upper east side. She is known by her family name and reputation. When an event puts Jace and Andrea in the same place at the same time, they know they are fated to be together. After just a short time together, they both know they want to spend the rest of their lives with each other. But then life gets in the way and rips them apart. Then what happens to them in the space between when they aren't with each other? This is their story.

Just when I thought I found my favorite Sarah Ready book, I read her newest book, and it becomes my new favorite. The Space Between was absolutely stunning. It was beautiful, heartbreaking, and breathtaking. The characters and their stories are so thought out and written with such care. You get so invested in their story that you can't stop reading. You can feel their love for each other and their heartbreak radiating off the pages. This book will play games with your heart. It will absolutely wreck you. It will rip your heart out, shred it to pieces, have you crying so hard you can't see the words on the page, and yet you will still keep reading because you are so invested in Jace's and Andi's stories that you need to know what happens. This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite romance reads of the year. This book has officially cemented Sarah Ready as an autobuy author for me.

You know how sometimes there is a love story that you know is meant to be? Itโ€™s a story of a once in a lifetime love, one that lives on even in the absence of that other person, it transcends time. The Space Between is that story. A story of forever love and heartbreak, secrets and betrayal, missed opportunities, and second chances that spans the course of years. One of the BEST books Iโ€™ve read this year!!

Andi (aka Andrea Leighton-Hughes) and Jace Morgan meet in the park after a brief altercation Jace has with a bully. Unknown to Jace, Andi frequents the park, her happy spot, a place not to be alone. Both are seventeen when they meet, instantly hitting it off. The thing is that Andi is the daughter of one of the wealthiest families in NY City. She has grown up on the Upper East Side in a cold-hearted family where she feels more like a pawn in her parents game of excesses and conquer the world. Jace on the other hand is from the Bronx, his parents were killed in an attempted robbery when he was thirteen. Living and being raised by his older brothers, Dean and River in a small apartment where they share a bedroom.

Growing up in a musical family one of the things that Jace, who is a musical prodigy, instilled in him and his brother was the love of music. Even after the death of their parents, the boys dreamed of making it big. To get there they did everything possible to get that recognitionโ€ฆ playing in the park, on street corners, anywhere their music could be heard. When they finally get the chance to play a circuit of clubs Andi wants to go with them. Itโ€™s now that Jace finds out who Andi really is.

When Andi tells her parents that she is going with Jace on circuit he is quick to cut her access to money off. So, she methodically begins to take off all her jewelry, cash, and worldly treasures behind go with Jace and his brothers. The trip was truly the beginning of things for Jace and Andi. Spending all their time together they grew closer, the loss of innocence to each other, as their love grew stronger. So many things on the road trip put a smile on my face and made my heart pitter-patter. But just as things seem pointed to success for the band, nothing will prepare you for what happens next, leaving you heartbroken.

This book is written in three parts. Broken up in a way that it really keeps the flow of the story connected with the twist and turns that are hauntingly unexpected. It encompasses about fourteen-ish years and will have Jace and Andi lives intersecting during this time too.

As much as Iโ€™d love to expand on The Space Between, it would be so much better for you to grab the book yourself!!

"You promised. Make good on it."
