My Temptation by T.L. Swan, is the first book in the Kingston Lane Series, Juliet Drinkwater finds herself at a party, which she ended up at thanks to her best friend, Chloe, who is determined to catch the attention of Doctor Blake Grayson, so Juliet follows her and although it's not normally the place where she would go, she is enjoying herself and when her gaze catch a rather attractive man she is even more excited, after a few crossed glances the man approaches her, he introduces himself as Henley James and invites her out, as he sees some hesitation in her, he gives her his card and leaves, leaving her completely intrigued, so she succumbs and ends up calling him to accept the appointment, only the person who pick the phone is his assistant, they have the date anyway and they have an incredible date where they share stories and laughs, at the end of the night and even when they decide to see each other the next night the attraction is something palpable between them and they end up spending the night together, promising to see each other later that day James leaves Juliet at her apartment, she's walking on clouds thinking she met the man of her life, only later that night the guy doesn't show up, and when her best friend calls her and tells her the guy is at a nightclub, Juliet is left disheartened. Days later, she bumps in to him by chance while she is having lunch with her brother and everything takes a turn for the worse when her brother makes James believe that they are a couple and engaged, for defending her, so James leaves annoyed without saying another word to her. After three years and after having saved a lot and thanks to an inheritance that she received from her grandmother, she buys the house that she swears is his forever home, located in Kingston Lane, of course she has to do a few jobs for it but she wants to turn this dilapidated house into her dream house, all this is going to be affected when that night she discovers that James Henley himself is one of his neighbors, and not only from the street but the neighbor from the house next door, although she swears that she will ignore him and continue with her goals as if nothing had happened. It will not be so easy when the feelings that he evokes in her have not changed. James Henley is a very handsome and successful man, he is an engineer and works non-stop, but he is also a full-fledged player and womanizer, when he finds out who his new neighbor is, he cannot believe it and although every time they see each other fight or they try to appear civil, he can't deny the attraction he still feels for her, and even though he vows to stay away, there's something that always ends up drawing him to her. But when Juliet decides to stop fighting the attraction and sets out to win him over, she realizes there's more to James than she knows. James is a man with emotional baggage who swore from a very young age not to fall in love, he has scars that do not allow him to get close to and this will sabotage any possible relationships he can form. For both of them it will be a struggle between what they want and what they deserve in their lives against the belief of what this means, James will have to do a deeper job to get rid of those fears and give himself the opportunity for a better future and see how willing he is to do it.
This book is another masterpiece by the author, who has us used to stories full of humanity, with lots of laughs, crazy moments, friendship, very human and real moments that will make you shed a few tears, all this while we fall madly in love with every character, I finish this book as always when I read one of T.L. Swan's, wanting more, if this was the beginning I know this Series will be wonderful. Highly recommended!

Another massive smash hit from T L Swan. I loved Henley and Juliet and their story was a great read. It had ups and downs and twists and turns which will keep you hooked.
The side characters were great and I can’t wait to see how their stories unfold in this series.

I enjoyed the Miles High Club series by TL Swan a lot so I was excited to dive into this new series.
I love a good enemies to lovers, next door neighbor, second chance romance, with banter. Throw in a broken man that I can root for and I’m a goner. Although I think Henley’s baggage caused him to be an ass for too long and he needs to work on his apologies.
I liked that Juliet was feisty and stubborn but wish she has held out a little longer before forgiving him. I like when the MMC works for her love and forgiveness.
This book was a roller coaster ride of emotions and the spice and chemistry were intense!

I have been patiently waiting for a new book from TL Swan and honestly the wait was totally worth it. Opening a new book from this author is honestly the best treat because you know you’re about to experience one hell of a story! This book is an awesome way to start off her new series and I was swooning over Henley the whole entire time! I loved Henley and Juliet together they have such a connection and the story is top notch! Thank you so much TL Swan for another awesome read! Can't wait for the rest of the series!

A fabulous read, loved the dynamic between Henley and Juliet and of course the side characters really brought this book to life . After a failed date and misunderstanding Henley and Juliet become neighbours , leading to romance. Jealousy , fence jumping and lots of laughs along the way to a very happy ending .

✨Short Synopsis✨
Juliet Drinkwater is on the date of her dreams. Her chemistry with Henley James is off the charts, but after a less than cordial break, it’s bye bye, Mr. Perfect.
Fast forward to three years later, Juliet is the new girl on the Kingston Lane block in a fixer upper home. Her front door neighbor is a blast from the past, one she’d love to forget. Unfortunately, Juliet finds that Henley is not a man a girl can easily forget.
✨Book Review✨
First of all, T.L. Swan’s straight forward dry humor is like no other. Tee’s love interests’s banter cannot be compared! Constant laugh out loud banter.
Henley’s emotionally unavailable, and the reader can’t help but fall all over his morally gray character. Juliet is relentless when playing his mind games. I admired her fire. This book is one of the Kingston Lane series, and with the irresistible supporting characters in My Temptation, I’m counting down the days for the next book!
Thank you to T.L. Swan, her team, and Net Galley for the ARC provided.

An entertaining work in progress
I am absolutely addicted to this new world of Kingston Lane!
Whenever I pick up a book from T, I can't put it down. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book and now that release day is finally here, I've already read the book 3 times *shrug*
Juliet Drinkwater is your all-around good girl, looking for her happily ever after. Henley James is a billionaire playboy with a playbook that will make your jaw drop. These two crash together, and it's explosive, but in the next few days things don't look so great. Jump ahead 3 years and Juliet is buying her dream house (well it may be a fixer upper, but she sees the potential), but guess who is her neighbor??! None other than Mr. Henley James, and let the craziness begin.
This book has everything...found family, nosey neighborhood watch, mischief puppies, laughable moments and steamy scenes that will fog your glasses (if you're wearing some)! I had so many moments where I just wanted to slap Henley so hard (who makes impromptu visits for guest he doesn't like?!), he may be caused some one-handed chapters (IYKYK!), but his pure unsure moments (is anything sexier than vulnerability on a man!?) those are where I fell in love with Mr. James.
Just fair warning it's addictive and if we know anything, so are the books to come.

Henley James and Juliet Drinkwater
Dual POV. Book one of the Kingston Lane series. All new cast of characters. Dual narration. Both narrators read well. There are a few narration errors, but the unidentifiable accent for Antony really threw me off. I'm assuming Antony will have a book in this series, I hope whomever narrates it steers clear of that particular accent. While I enjoy most of CJ Bloom's audiobooks, it was difficult to remember this wasn't the Miles High Club series. I kept expecting the Miles couples to pop in. This was the first time I've heard Marcio Catalano, and while he read well, he didn't stand out to me as my next favorite narrator. Content warning; parent with either alzheimer's disease or dementia (it wasn't specified).
Henley and Juliet meet at a fundraiser, go on one date, hook up, and then Henley ghosts Juliet for some unexplained reason. Three years later, Juliet (27) moves into her dream home with big plans to renovate. The only downside of her new home: Henley (33) is her next-door neighbor.
This one was all about Kingston Lane and all of her residence. This story left me wanting more.
3 out of 5 on my spice scale.

My Temptation is the first book in the Kingston Lane series, but it can be read as a standalone.
Juliet Drinkwater and Henley James meet at an event and there’s instant attraction. So Henley asks Juliet out on a date, and they end up sleeping together. They make plans to see each other again, but Henley doesn't follow through. He blows off their plans and from then, Juliet hates him.
Fast forward a few years and Juliet, now 27, is moving into her dream home in Kingston Lane. Everyone knows everyone there, so it’s their own little community. The problem is that her new next door neighbor is none other than Henley James.
The attraction between them is still there, but they do not get along. Juliet is still angry over what he did years ago, and Henley is angry with her because of what she said to him at that time. Yet, they can’t stay away from each other, especially since they live right next door to each other.
Juliet is a nurse and lives alone, so she decides to adopt a dog. Barry, the dog, is the best little troublemaker! He’s just always causing trouble and making noise, but he’s so lovable. Anyway, Juliet is feisty, snarky, and strong. She knows her worth and doesn’t let Henley play with her feelings or treat her like nothing. But she’s also understanding and knows that there’s something holding Henley back and is very patient with him.
Henley is an engineer and likes to keep things in order and be in control. He has OCD tendencies, which I thought was described well (by his actions).
I will say that it took me a while to warm up to Henley. I really hated him in the beginning, and there were times when he was so awful. But then there were times when he was so sweet and swoony. When he took care of Juliet (chapter 17), I just about melted.
Also, the ending of the book felt rushed. There was a big event, and the characters didn’t really deal with it. Then another problem was thrown at them, and it was just resolved without the characters actually working on it.
Anyway, I am excited to see more of Juliet’s friends and Henley’s friends; though I didn’t particularly like Henley’s friends. This book has humor, spice, angst, heartbreaking moments (if you’re a crier…be prepared), healing, and so much love. This was a great start to the series, and I can’t wait for the next book!

Wow, this book had me from the very first page, I sat and read the entire thing in one day. I love love loved it. Henley and Juliet were amazing in this story, with all the angst and passion, it was a roller coaster of emotions at times. It definitely gave me Stanton vibes. I can’t wait to read about the rest of Kingston Lane. Well Done!!!

Like all of TL Swan books, I was sucked in!! Definitely UNPUTDOWNABLE. I laughed, swooned, and wanted to shake some sense into Henley. Lol
My heart totally hurts a few times. Henley was mean, but that's what I love about him. Lol Henley and Juliet had my Kindle burning up. The banter, the push and pull, the tension, the side characters, LOVE everything about it. The chemistry was off the chart. Juliet was perfect for Henley. She was feisty, sassy, and determined. When she loves, she loves hard!!
And I'm pretty sure people will compare this to the Miles Brothers. I'll say out of the brothers, he's more like Jameson.
A very good start on a new series. I am so intrigued as to whose story we're going to get next. I'm so excited!!!

“We’re the perfect storm, where normality feels wrong and the forbidden feels hot.”
If you love men written by TL Swan, Henley will most definitely not disappoint. He is grumpy, possessive, dominant and a little broken that you will love. Juliet knows what she wants and holds her own. Sparks flew between them when they first met and had a great date together but Henley is a playboy and it didn’t work out. 3 years later they are now neighbors and there is so much tension between them. They both had so many feelings for each other but were fighting it so hard. These two definitely deliver on the push and pull with plenty of great banter. I enjoyed the mental health representation. We learn more about Henley’s grief and trauma responses with him learning how to handle them better. TL always delivers on a good story line, great characters, funny and swoony moments and the spice. I loved meeting all of the new characters for the series and can’t wait for what is to come!

The much-loved TL Swan returns with the new Kingston Lane book series, launched by the amazing My Temptation. Well written and deeply internal tells us the story of Henley and Julie. Their stormy meeting leads to a passionate night. But when Henley disappears Juliet decides to move on with her life. Three years later they meet in the idyllic Kingston Lane and neither of them can resist the passion they feel, no matter how hard they try.
I really loved the new book by the incredible TL Swan and I think it is one of her most mature and well written books. The central characters are highly structured, each with their own personal history, traumas and resistances to the feelings they have for each other. The secondary characters are incredibly interesting and make us curious about their own books (oh yes. I believe we will see them in the near future).
The book deals with issues as grief management, trauma, love and what family means to everyone. The love scenes are full of passion and with Swan's well-known – adored – perspective.
Every time I look forward to her new books and she never disappoints. Through Henley and Juliet's journey we have the opportunity to question our own darkness and whether love is enough in a relationship when the mind cannot follow.

my favorite queen Tee is back at it again but with a new series! my temptation is the first book in the Kingston Lane series and let me tell you what. WOW. this one was so good. reading a new book by Tee is like coming home from a long vacation. I find SO much comfort in reading a new book by her.
I absolutely love the fact they went from a one night stand to ending up being neighbors. I ate this book up. there is so much that I love about Tee's writing style, and I always know that I am going to get a book that is make me laugh out loud, has amazing banter, and all the swoony feels. there was so much tension and banter with this one and it made the story flow great.
Henley James is so grumpy and possessive and I AM HERE FOR IT. there is something special about a grumpy man written by Tee. he is also a beautifully broken hero. he is closed off to love and comes off as broken in that way. but there is something so perfect about him also. something that draws you to him and you just crave more of him. Juliet gives off a little bit of chaotic energy vibes and I AM HERE FOR IT. she knows what she wants and is not afraid to tell it like it is. she is also hilarious and was making me cackle the whole book. and don't even get me started on the nicknames she has for people. there was so much growth for both MCs and I loved the mental health rep. always hits home and also for me makes the book more relatable. the push and pull between Henley and Juliet will draw you in, and make you also root for them even though they fought it the whole time. there chemistry was amazing and nothing less than perfection. I am so excited to be in a new world that Tee has created. so excited to be on this new journey!

Thanks so much for the ARC!
When I started this I completely LAUGHED my ass off! TL Swan was the whole reason I got into RomCom book and I LOVE IT! The banter between these two just killed me and the dialogue, the chemistry, the sexual tension, the angst, was all there!!!
He asked her on a date, and it went well. She has the BEST night of her life-, but then well yeah, there is a bit of a miscommunication going <- (you, I'm not a fan of this, but I TRUSTED THE PROCESS IT WAS WORTH IT!) Cause I do love a spiteful FMC. Three years LATER! She moved into a posh neighborhood Guess who is her next-door neighbor HAHA!
I was laughing my ass off, and gawd, it was a great time. Not only was I invested in the main characters, but I wanted to know about the side characters too and this usually happens during a series or a fantasy book. I WANT MORE from the other characters in their book. I need to know about the navy or military men. Are we getting a group scene in the future? Who knows! I will still read it!
The only thing that caught me off guard in this book was the word "Creamy", but it didn't really bother me throughout the whole story! I loved Juliet and Henly.
Henley certainly has issues and you will get pissed off at him, but you know he has a lot of work on. You will experience pain along the way. I totally almost teared up in the end. Cause I relate to him and his dad. I used to watch my dad too. So that scene was very personal for me and it made me miss my dad.
Anyways, I love this book and I can't wait to see more of this series! DEFINITELY WORTH checking out if you love romcom! TL Swan is the best!
There were certain decisions that I didn't agree with Henley, which ticked me off as an MMC. With his PA ESPECIALLY like be for real dude. That's it

i was so excited when i saw this one drop in my netgalley. henley & juliet were hilarious. i ate up their banter & antics. the way juliet basically trained him & led him right to her was such a wild ride. && his caveman behavior had me laughing the whole story. i will say while hilarious, their antics definitely played out more like new adult age behavior than grown adults. but none the less i really enjoyed this one & i’m looking forward to more stories on kingston lane.

I love T L swans writing and this book did not disappoint! I thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down.
Juliet moves into her new home only to realize her next door neighbor is the one guy she doesn’t want to see again. I loved Juliet’s strong character and how she knew wha she deserved and didn’t settle for less.
Henleys character was written so well, he’s this beautiful broken man that has a lot of baggage, but you can’t help but root for him to get past it. He’s strong and confident, but the loss of his mom at such a young age really traumatized him.
I loved seeing his relationship with Juliet develop. The way she supported him and backed off when she knew he needed space. I loved the way he loved her and took care of her too. These two conquered some pretty big obstacles and I loved the overall story!

Happy release day !! Thank you to TL Swan for this ARC ! I Love all of her books and this book is no different.
This book is part of a new series called “ Kingston Lane”. The main characters have a great date and Juliet gets ghosted by James. She Moves into his street and they both realize who each other are. This book is so good !!! I love TL ‘s books they're all comfort reads for me and this book is no different. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

This is easily my 2nd favorite TL Swan book. Ever.
Oh TL Swan, how I’ve missed you and your uncanny ability to make me want to read your next 4 books in a series in one chapter. This is book one is TL’s new series.
Juliet (who has possibly one of the best last names ever) meets Henley at a charity gala for her hospital (she is nurse) and he’s an engineer attending with his doctor friend. He asks her out in a date and it’s perfect. They had incredible spicy time afterwards (yep, a spicy scene at 5%. you’re welcome) and then he doesn’t call. 3 years later, Juliet is still mad at Henley but has just purchased her own home. Guess who her new next door neighbor is? Henley. What ensues is the perfect formula of banter, hate flirting, tension, angst, and fake dates. I was genuinely laughing at several points. Even better, you watch these two slowly break down each others barriers and actually build a friendship. If you know the authors work, you know her ability to fully develop her characters is top tier. Any of her FMCs could be you or your friend and any of MCs is a guy you’ve met or want to meet. She doesn’t shy away from giving her characters real life baggage which is always refreshing. Juliet also really asserts herself in her life and in the bedroom which is awesome to see. Then we have the spice. Lord. The mount on Henley James. In more ways than one. The spice is this book is, dare I say, some of her best and that’s coming from some whose favorite Miles brother is Elliot Miles, so I’m a tough judge. Spice is a solid 4. There’s such a strong emotional undercurrent to this book. Henley is privately struggling with how to manage his emotional health like a lot of us. It was raw and real. It’s absolutely tore my black, dead heart up but the reward put it back together.
You find yourself rooting for Juliet and Henley. You can’t help it. All their missteps, “plotting”, banter, smoking hot chemistry, and stunningly deep emotional connection makes you love them more. I’m already dying for the next book and I found myself guessing how each one will play out. One house in particular defiantly has me curious.
I received this book as an ARC.

Juliet thought she had something special with Henley. But he ghosted her. Now, a few years later, they are next-door neighbors. Will Juliet be tempted to give Henley a second chance?
My Temptation was absolutely amazing! The characters and the Kingston Lane cul de sac sucked me in from the beginning. I’m so glad this is a series because I can’t get enough of all of the characters in this neighborhood.
Oh, beautiful, tortured Henley! He has to be one of my favorite TL Swan leading men. Henley is the poster child for “he's a 10 but...”. He has a ton of baggage and quirks, along with definite control issues, but without a doubt, he has so much love to give to the right person. And sassy, strong-willed Juliet is that person.
Juliet and Henley’s journey is so emotional. It's full of laughter, passion, lots of frustration, swooniness (is that a word? 😆), and so much more. I loved the push and pull between these two. And their banter!
My Temptation is everything I love in a TL Swan book. It has a great story, incredible and complex characters, humor, steam, angst, and swoon-worthy moments. It's a terrific start to this series!
