I am new to this author, but this was such a good, rich story. Each character went through personal growth and found love, but Sasha who was frustrating.) I cant wait to read something else from this author
Danyelle Marcus has given us a compelling tale of a group of women who are friends and dealing with love, relationships and life. Each woman has to go on a journey, and in hopes by the end, come out better, wiser and stronger. One thing I really appreciated about the book, is that the author showcased men that were not so good, but had examples of men that were good, which is sometimes missing in a lot of our stories. I was really impressed with this story and I enjoyed it very much. I still identify as a neck bone, but you'll have to read the book to understand what I mean, lol. This was my first time reading a book from this author, and I'm sure it won't be my last.
First I want to start by saying that the cover of this book is simply beautiful. I wanted to read this book based on the cover alone. I really enjoyed reading this book especially since I am from Detroit. My favorite couple is Candace and Diego. The face that Candace has to deal with that stalker Jaxon made me want to jump into the book and beat him up. Dallas and Messiah were ALOT lol...I understand why Dallas felt like her happy family was snatched away and I was delighted when she found Trent. I really wanted to get more of Sasha and Devaughn's story because my girl finally got pregnant. I really wanted a chapter with just them at the end of the book because I felt so bad for her relationship with Hunt. This book gave me everything and I loved it.
Dallas, Sasha, and Candace are at different stages in life and love but they're linked by their affection for one another and by their determination, You will root for all of them. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC, A good read,
Thick of Love is unputdownable multicultural interest fiction by Danielle Marcus.
Dallas, Candace, and Sasha are friends as tight as sisters. Romance is a complicated subject for them all right now, but they’re determined to find their own true love. What will they find on the road to love?
Danielle Marcus is a ‘new to me’ author, but I enjoyed the read and will read other works by this author. The characters are well-rounded with adequate backstories. The plot is well-conceived and properly paced with interesting twists. I literally couldn’t put it down. Thick of Love is a definite 5 star read that I highly recommend to anyone looking for excellent contemporary multicultural romance.
My thanks toKensington Books, Black Odyssey Media, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.
