My reading of 'The Space Between' e-book was accompanied by the audiobook.
Thank you NetGalley and W. W. Crown for the ARC copy & allowing me to experience this heartwarming novel. I highly recommend this book/audiobook to everyone who enjoys a compelling story. The narration of the audiobook was wonderful.
This book was so different from any other I've read. Not only was it a wonderful love story, but it also had so many unexpected twists, turns, heartbreak and love. It made me feel all the feels. A fantastic story about what happens when two people meet and grow together and apart and all the space in between. Told from the 2 main characters pov. I didn't want the book to end.
This is my first book by Sarah Ready, and now I can't wait to read more of her books. The writing and words flowed and read so easily. The narrators of the audiobook were wonderful as well.

I originally had decided to DNF this book because it just wasn't for me. Against my better judgement, I finished it and...it just wasn't for me.

I was introducers to Sarah Ready through French Holiday. I really enjoyed that book so decided to read her next novel as well. This was COMPLETELY different, I’m in shock it’s the same author. Im this is amazing, and a great read. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the one small spicy scene, I felt like we could have faded to black and been better off. I didn’t care for it.

This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster and has some great twists, something I never thought I’d write about a rom com.

It reminded me if Happily Ever Playlist and Happy Place with a smattering of a Sarah Adams book had a baby together.

Jace and Andie come from opposite backgrounds, but met one fateful day in Central Park and their love story began. The story is told in three parts over several years as the world continuously threatens to tear them apart.

This is an emotional and heartwarming story that tackles the ups and downs of life including family issues, loss, and betrayal. I was initially skeptical of two teens falling in love, but as the story unfolded I couldn't help but root for our characters to find happiness.

It is on the longer side, but it alternates between Jace and Andie's points of view and really keeps you engaged as you grow attached to the characters and their life experiences. I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the dual narration.

I really enjoyed it overall and recommend if you like a compelling second chance romance.

Synopsis:  Jace and Andrea. Andrea and Jace.

From the moment of their fate-filled first meeting in Central Park they’ve known one true thing—they’re meant to be.

Life doesn’t have many certainties but for Andrea and Jace forever is one of them.
Andrea Leighton-Hughes—shockingly wealthy Upper East Sider, a chess-piece in her family’s games since before she was born—knows what it’s like to hide behind a mask. Her world is one of lies, manipulation, and reputation. Jace is the first and only person to see who she truly is.

Jace Morgan knows the ugly side of life and he hasn’t always kept his nose clean. A musical prodigy from the Bronx, Jace and his brothers will do whatever it takes to climb to the top of the music charts. Andrea is the first and only person who has helped him play from the heart.
No one understands their connection. No one understands their love.

As Jace and Andrea struggle to stay together and prove that love defeats all obstacles, life sets out to prove them wrong.

What happens when two people promise forever, but life tears them apart?
What happens in the time they aren’t together—in the space between?

An epic love story full of emotional depth, redemption, found family, and the belief that love can heal the world.

My Thoughts: Read this book! Grab tissues and prepare your mind and heart. This book was the most amazing heartbreaking and healing book of second chance romance that I have ever read. It was not as I expected. Their were plot twists and character building that made my heart flutter. This story, the determination of love, friendship, loyalty, and family was written and told so beautifully. This is my favorite by Sarah Ready thus far.

The duel narration brought this story to life! I absolutely loved both narrators and their voices, changes in pitch and characters were wonderful.

Thank you, NetGalley, for my advanced listening copy.

I feel like this book could make a great movie or TV series.

I loved listening to the audiobook of this book. The narrators did a brilliant job. The book is very emotional be prepared to cry while listening or reading it and have tissues nearby. I loved the story it was entertaining and gives you a new perspective on life. It makes you think about a lot of things that happen in life and how things you say and do can literally have a huge impact on someone's life.

The narrators were awesome as you could feel the emotions of the characters while they performed it.

The storyline was amazing, the only negative thing I could say was that there were too many characters, tropes, themes and events explored which meant at times it could be difficult to keep your attention to it.

It was great in the way it was an emotional and romantic listen. The music theme was also fun. The title is also mentioned a lot in the book which is quite cool, someone could play a game with that if they wanted to.

Overall I really liked it.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to listen to and review this audiobook.

I enjoyed this story line. It was nice to see Andrea's story evolve and how the love between her and Jace never disappeared no matter what life through at them. I also appreciated the author's acknowledgement that you can love more than one person in your lifetime and how the love is different but no less important. The narrators were good in this audio version and they portrayed the emotions of the characters as they read. I would absolutely listen to any narration they do again. Overall this was 4 stars for me because i really enjoyed the story and it brought me a lot of joy listening to it.

Andrea and Jace meet in Central park when they're teens. They almost instantly fall in love, hard. But Andy is a Leighton-Hughes, and Jace has to work to gain his life. They're from 2 really different worlds. But they're sure they can make it work.
And when Jace and his brothers begin to be famous thanks to their music, Andy decides to come on tour with them. And then, they both end heartbroken.

I liked this book, but I sometimes thought it was a little too long. Some storytelling didn't serve the story. But apart from that, this is a trully beautiful love story.

What a beautifully written story about love, loss, redemption, trust and family.

We never know someone’s struggle and what they have endured… this story gives so much grace and love to the choices made and consequences that are relatable that we all too often live with.

Music is such a huge part of my life and how each song and lyric was so heartfelt and present in this story, it really hit home for me - right into my heart ♥️

Sarah Ready is definitely an author I will be reading more of and adding yo my watchlist!

I’m grateful to NetGalley for the audiobook version in exchange for an honest review.

To say that I loved this book is an understatement of the century. I adored it. I’m usually not a huge fan of love at first sight, but the fact that the timeline spreads over so many years and through heartbreak and life-changing decisions made me eat this story from start to finish.

I’ll keep this short because I don’t think I can navigate this review without spoilers. Just, I didn’t expect any of this. And when I started to understand what was awaiting, I expected to be disappointed, and let me tell you I was anything but. I gobbled everything thrown in my way, the instalove, the unbearable misunderstanding, the former bad guy turned amazing, the heartwrenching pain, the time gaps, EVERYTHING.

And this is definitely spoilery but- TO MAKE ME FALL IN LOVE with the non-endgame couple in this was CRUEL, Sarah, but I love you 3000 for this. Reid is now one of my fave characters ever. And I don’t even know how she did it and how, after making me bail my eyes out, she managed to make me root for the original couple AGAIN, but she did. And it was amazing. A-MA-ZING. And I know I’m not making any sense because I feel the urge to cry again. But, just go read it, okay?

This is the first book I have read / listened to by this author and really enjoyed it. It was a great read, well written with strong characters and storylines. Be ready for a total emotional rollercoaster of a ride though. I had the audio book which was well read and easy to listen to. Recommend

The book jumps right into it with Jace and Andrea meeting for the first time and it’s actually pretty delightful. Andrea is a tough Manhattanite, while Jace is a sensitive type from the wrong side of the tracks – or in this case – the Bronx. But as soon as they meet there is an instant connection and Andrea feels like she can be an entirely different person with Jace – with Jace she can be Andy. Little does Jace know, Andy is actually the daughter of a high-profile family. As the two fall in deeper with each other, it’s clear that they have a connection that cannot be broken by the wealth and influence of her family. Jace will do anything to be with Andy, including ignoring his brothers’ (and bandmates) protests against the relationship. What seems like a relationship that cannot be broken, is suddenly torn apart by circumstances that neither of them could have predicted.

Surprisingly their relationship only lasts for a small portion of the book and then follows each of their lives apart from each other. I did like the way the story was written. It was an interesting twist to romance. I was able to relate to Andrea the more the book went on and actually ended up caring more about her character than Jace’s. I didn’t really have any sort of connection with Jace and didn’t find him a particularly likable character. I didn’t dislike him, but really had no feelings towards him. I actually enjoyed Andrea’s storyline way more and thought that it would have been just as good if it didn’t include Jace. For being soulmates, I didn’t get that feeling. There was more romance (and a better story) with another character that I almost wish the book had really just been about that.

This book was way more emotional than I was expecting. It was very sad and had me in tears at one point. This was definitely less rom-com and way more drama based. Drama based romances like this are typically not my favorite genre and not something I reach for unless it’s been highly recommended. I don’t really like sad books because life is depressing enough already. Haha. However, I did enjoy the book even though it was sad.

I have so many thoughts on this book, but I don’t feel like I can really get into any of them without giving things away!

Out of the 4 books I’ve read by Sarah Ready, this was definitely my least favorite. It just didn’t have that connection that I’ve found from her other books. With that being said, I did still enjoy it and would recommend it, but I just wouldn’t have a desire to read it again.

This was a great audiobook! The female narrator was fantastic! I’d give her 5 stars. The male narrator sounded slightly too formal, as if he was reading a book rather than embodying the character. But it was still a good narration. I’d give him 4 stars.

I had no idea what to expect from this book, but I’m so glad I read it! This was a much heavier story than I anticipated, and boy did it take the reader on a journey! This story begins when the characters are teenagers and with the help of time jumps it spans 15 years. I think I’d call it a coming of age romance. I was completely immersed in this story, and I even woke up eager to read again. This would have been a five star read for me, but the angst felt slightly too much at times. Like, at about 80% I kinda felt like I had angst whiplash. Because of that I’m landing at 4.5 ⭐️

MY GOD!! THIS BOOK!!! I wanted to yell and scream and shake the characters to just talk to each other. To stop avoiding and just freaking ask the other one. They are the perfect couple, and I never knew I could love two different men at once. I love her character growth. This story takes place over many years and man is it freaking good. I wish I could read this book over and over again. It is new and different and makes you think about life, music and love in a different life. I need a man to love me as much as Jace loves Andy. If you are looking at the comments just BUY THE BOOK!

Overall 1000/5
Story: 1000/5
Plot: 100/5
Emotional Strings: 100/5
Character Growth: 5/5
Spiciness: 5/5

Read the book. Congratulations Sarah Ready you wrote the book of the year.

The Space Between
by Sarah Ready

Most books by Sarah I prepare myself to go on an emotional roller coaster but I didnt prepare myself enough for this one. I cant even really describe it just go go run out and buy it when it drops. It is 100% worth the emotional ride you will go on.
I didnt like the miscommunication and the backstabbing and a few things but the ending was something I wasn't expecting but I needed it for this book.

Thank you Net Galley and W.W. Crown for this audiobook for an hoenst review.

This is a love story but it’s also so much more. There’s love and heartbreak, pain and healing, betrayal and forgiveness, mistakes and redemption, missed chances and that long line of fate. This book was quite the ride. This is the second book by Sarah Ready that I’ve read and it will not be the last.

I cried. Which is generally the mark against which I measure any good book. How much emotion can it provoke from me? In this books case, the answer was a lot.

Jace and Andy had the sort of relationship that I want to believe exists in the real world without denying that things doing always work to plan. Additionally, the way that music was interwoven into the story was breathtaking. Ready captured the feelings that music can provoke in you so well. Almost as well as she captured the feelings of love and heartbreak.

I recieved an advanced review copy of this book from Net Galley for free and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

How many times can one book break your heart? Seriously, because this one broke me multiple times and yet I adored it. I've never read/listened to anything by Sarah Ready before but if all of her books are as good as this one I am on board.

This book had multiple time lines, which I loved because it was so essential to Andi and Jace's story and it really built their characters and showed how and why they are who they are. So many times throughout this book I wanted to just give Jace a big hug. I feel like there was a LOT to this book, but at the same time it didn't feel as long as it was. I never actually wanted it to end and if there were 100 more pages to it I would have eaten it up as well.

I don't want to give anything away, and actually went into this book blindly which I suggest you do too. Just be ready to have your heart broken. You'll have to see yourself if it gets put back together or not. ;)

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance audio copy.

@sarahreadyauthor has quickly become a must-read author for me and I was excited when #netgalley offered The Space Between not only as a Read Now but also Listen Now option.

This was a great example of a book that hooked me with the first line.

“I fly across the grass, sprinting through Central Park, desperate to stop the only woman I’ll ever love from marrying another man.”

Maybe it’s just me, but that sentence actually gave me an adrenaline rush. Does he make it in time? Does she love him too? What’s their story? Those were all questions I asked myself in that moment.

What I discovered was a story about two teens falling in love. The things that tear them apart and what happened in the space between. Following Andi and Jace for more than a decade, their story is told in dual POV which I loved. I did wish for more of Jace at certain times.

There is love and loss. Grief and sorrow. Family love and family deception. I smiled, I was angry, and I also had tears. This was an emotional read, and I loved every minute of it!

I tandem read the e-book while listening to the audiobook. The narrators did a great job of bringing the characters to life.
