What lush, gorgeous illustrations in this cozy little storybook about Davy and Mia, two rabbit siblings finding their way to safety together when lost in the snowy wilderness. Some useful lessons for children wrapped in this sweet little tale.
Thank you to author Brigitte Weninger, illustrator Eve Tharlet, NorthSouth Books Inc., and NetGalley for providing this ARC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.
A sweet story with lovable characters that children are sure to relate to with a very important message. As parents, we cannot always protect our children and this story is about two rabbits who learn to keep themselves safe, and calm during a stressful situation.
This is a cute children’s book that reminds me of books I read as a child. The illustrations are beautiful and more realistic. A great story for little ones about traveling in the snow and staying calm when things change.
Join Davy and his sister on a snowy day while they travel to go visit their Grandma and Grandpa. Davy and his sister get caught in a snow storm on their way home from Grandma and Grandpa's house. Davy knew exactly what to do to keep them safe until the storm passed. I read this book with my five year old granddaughter. This book will be published on September 12, 2023. Thank you NetGalley, Brigitte Weninger and NorthSouth Books for this book. I am leaving this review on a volunteer basis.

This was a cute rendering of back in my day and how it was useful to Davy and Mia.during a storm. The illustrations were cute and enjoyable. I would recommend this book to my local library, friends and family with children.
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the eARC! This is a cute story about a rabbit's adventure into the snow with their sibling. They work together to overcome the problems they run into when trying to return home from their grandparents house.

Thank you NetGalley and NorthSouth Books Inc., NorthSouth Books for accepting my request to read and review Davy in the Snow.
Five stars. The story is beautiful. The illustrations are delightful.
Two young rabbits with parental permission head to their grandparents home and visit. On their way home, there is an accident that causes them to lose their direction. The story is sweetly told, with the boy rabbit reminding himself of things to do in an emergency. I loved that he remembered to stay calm and carried that attitude to his sister. I loved the story and even teared up.
A lovely gift.
As a Nana, I'm always trying to teach our grandchildren the importance of family and how each generation has much to offer. This book is an excellent example of just that. I love how recipes are shared by baking and wisdom is shared through stories. The illustrations are a wonderful addition to the story. Thanks #NetGalley #NorthSouthBooks
Lovely art. A cute story that teaches young readers what to do if they happen to get lost in the outdoors.
I thought that this was a lovely little story!
The illustrations were lovely and they really brought the story to life.
We read the book together and my 5 year old loved it, a really nice story for us to share at bedtime.
It is 4 stars from me for this one – highly recommended!
I read this book to my daughter. This was a quick and cute read with beautiful illustrations. My daughter loved the snow. It’s currently 90° outside and she is now begging for me to make it snow, haha.
This book taught a great lesson on what happens when you listen to your parents. The big sibling knew how to keep little sibling warm and save when they got stranded. Big sibling also did this in a way in order not to scare the little sibling. A wonderful bond between the two was displayed!
We enjoyed this read but I wondered yo myself why a parent would let their children go out in the middle of a snowstorm alone.
Davy in the Snow is a cute story about brother and sister rabbits who get lost in a snowstorm. And how Davy protects his younger sister, Mia, from the elements.
The illustrations in the book are adorable! Using muted pastel colors render the book a perfect read for bedtime.
I suppose there’s a life lesson in the book, but it’s very subtle. I gathered that the teachable moment had to do with caring and compassion, especially toward the younger siblings.
Overall, a cute and short read that is sure to please preschoolers. Three cute stars.
I received a digital ARC from NorthSouth Books through NetGalley. The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.
Thank you NetGalley for this advanced review!
This is an adorable story about Davy and Mia getting lost in the woods and their story of trying to stay warm and waiting for their parents. Overall a really cute story and I’d recommend it to nee parents looking for a cute story for bed time.
Thank you to NetGalley for granting this ARC, the picturebook is beautifully illustrated and the story is a simple tale of being out in the woods during the winter for a family of rabbits this can sure be an adventure to share.
This was very sweet. A cute story about Davy and his sister Mia as they get stuck in the snow after visiting with their grandparents. A very early winter/nature survival guide with some tips that could definitely help in a time in need. I enjoy a story book that doesn't always have an explicit lesson to learn, sometimes it is just nice to read without any need to teach a lesson or to learn something and I think that's what this book partly was for me at least. There is of course some teaching about what to do if you get in a scary situation like this one but most of the book was just fun and family oriented. The illustrations and colours used in this were also lovely
