A fun story that discusses weather. It was enjoyed by both the children and myself
It was fun to read to them but also work where they could follow along or read or to themselves as they wanted. This paired well with a lesson on different kinds of weather, what causes weather, and our own discussions each day on what's today's weather

Me and my children enjoyed this story with all of the characters within. It's about Wally that takes a walk through the four seasonings. And what he see within the four seasons.

This was a fun story to read. It had action and adventure throughout. It had a few giggles within. The illustrations went well with the story and were colorful.

Excellent for all ages. I read just the story with my two year old and she was engaged then I read all the extra details with my 5 and 7 year olds and they were well engaged

This book is excellent, especially for children who are learning about the weather. I love the brilliant illustrations and the easy to read writing along with the super bright colours. Thank you for letting me read and review this book.

This is a simple book that follows Wally as he notices the weather. This book is part story and part factoid. One of my favorite factoids was that squirrels spread themselves out and lay flat to help cool themselves off in the heat of the summer. There is information that kids are sure to find fun and for the kids that need a storyline this has that as well.

Adorable rhyming book about seasons and the science that makes weather and seasonal changes happen. It is filled with tons of information and facts that are perfect for little learners.

This is a nice little story about how you can use all five of your senses to appreciate the weather and the seasonal pleasures that the outdoors has to offer.

Wally goes out to experience everything from spring storms, to jumping in piles of leaves during autumn, to the snowy pleasures of sledding in winter.

There is also a science component to this book, with various weather phenomena being explained in simple terms.

Reading it with children would be a good opportunity to introduce them to the underlying scientific concepts, as well as the simple pleasures of the senses, when it comes to appreciating the outdoors and the many variations in weather patterns.

Wally loves exploring outside and takes readers along to explore the seasons. Each one brings different weather events and changes to the world around them. Sunshine Smith weaves facts into her narrative to help readers learn as they explore the story. The illustrations offer a closer look at the changes that occur. Terrific addition to lower elementary classroom libraries and a great read for families to begin exploring weather.

This is a charming book about a little boy experiencing different kinds of weather. I was impressed that each page has the story at the bottom and little facts and calls to action inserted into the illustrations. The cloud descriptions are great and I could see a child returning to them to learn the names over time.

Odd points:
"Thunder is the sound of lightening." I don't think that's factually correct.
"Water and sunshine work together to make our wild, wonderful weather." I get that children's books simplify things, but this seems strange.
"Sunshine makes chlorophyll." I'm not sure it's that simple.

This book provides alot of nice information on the weather of each of the four seasons. It could be a useful resource for teaching kids about the seasons. I would have just preferred if the book had clearer sections for each season and had the infomation at the end of each section. Alot of the time the informational parts and story felt jumbled and distracting from each other.

I like the weather is paired up with seasons so the children learn when we may see different weather. I also like how the book gives kids the idea to go for their own weather walk where they live!

Wally Takes a Weather Walk is a cute book about a boy named Wally who walks through the seasons. While he's walking and doing weather activities (ex. building a snowman) there are weather facts around. These are typically smaller and at times hard to read. The mix of fiction -- the story of Wally and what he's doing -- and non-fiction, the weather facts, makes it both accessible and at times confusing. I wish the weather facts felt more integrated into the story rather than an additional part. Overall I enjoyed the book and would definitely use it in a young classroom or for a young child to talk about the weather and learn more about it.

This was a very informative and cute book about the weather. I loved the little fun facts scattered around the page. They didn't distract from the main story, but added a depth of understanding to what was being discussed. This would be a great little book to learn about the weather and seasons.

This children's book about weather covers the beginning topics in a fun way! It goes through all the seasons and give a brief and age appropriate reason for the changes and what we see! I like that the story has Wally outside playing in the different types of weather. The illustrations are eye catching and colorful. My children would like this book and there is a lot of things to point to if you have younger children. Thank you Netgalley.

This children’s book is about our wonderful world and the different seasons we experience. This is a cute first weather book for toddlers to look through and have some education on what different types of weather patterns there are.

Wally Takes a Weather Walk is a fun jaunt through different types of weather. It's full of weather-related scientific facts for your youngster to learn more about the world! The illustrations in this book are well-done, the story is coherent and full of new information for the curious mind! I like the rhyming, too. This was a fun book!

I thought the text (font, size, and color) was a little weird, but that doesn't detract from the story and the facts in the book. Definitely a must if you have a child interested in science and weather!

Super cute and gives enough info about nature that it doesn’t bore the little ones, plus a fun story of Wally. Wally goes out and about thru different season explaining different clouds and weather related facts. The illustrations are beautiful. This will definitely go on my to buy list for my little.

I think this one may have been outside of my niece’s age group for her to get the desired outcome from this book. She thoroughly enjoyed it, though! This will definitely be one I get for her in the future. She will be able to learn more about the weather when she’s a little older. Again, this one has a little squirrel to look for throughout the book, which she is now calling Daisy after my rescue squirrel.

We loved this book! It was clever with the rhymes and informative. It ended a little abruptly. I had a hard time reading some of the text in the pictures. But we loved the facts and beautiful illustrations.

This is a great book for teaching children about weather. I would love to buy this book, and add it in to our homeschooling. I liked that there was the main story plus added facts on each page. So if you have a younger child, you could read just the story, and as they get older add in more information. I could see that leading to more questions and opportunities to learn as they get older. The illustrations are also really great. I especially loved the fall pages.
