Wilder Littlefield is shocked to come home to find a pregnant woman in his house, but he doesn't want to turn her out without anywhere to go. Can the acts of a careless brothers, bring a family together?

A heartwarming western romance, with a surprise meet cute, likable characters and great interaction throughout. I loved how having someone to come home to, kept Wilder coming back home to help out Taylor and make sure that she was okay. I enjoyed the well done relationship building, faith, and themes of family.

A well done, engaging read with great characters, and a riveting plot. I was just what I needed, sweet, heartwarming and brought a smile to my face.

This is a Clean Cowboy Romance, and this is the sixth book in the Sundown Valley series. I have read some of the other books in this series before picking up this book, but I do think this book can be read as a standalone without any problems. There are some cute moments in this book, but there are also some super funny times in this book. I laughed so hard while reading this book at times. The characters are so great, and they were everything I wanted in a clean romance. The only thing that really bother me while reading this book is the characters did not really share with every other how they felt about each other until it was almost to later, and I hate when a book does that. I really loved the time I spent reading this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired) or author (Linda Goodnight) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Oh, I just loved the premise of this book! Wilder comes home to a pregnant woman in his home, the home that should be vacant. Then he discovers the woman was married to his deceased half-brother, so he surely can’t toss her out. I enjoyed reading Wilder process his wants and needs and try to balance them with what the mother of his nephew needs. I adored how at home Taylor feels, even when she discovers she doesn’t own the house. Opposites do attract! Great read ~ highly recommend.

This book is the 6th In a series, but it reads fine on its own. I had been wanting to read a "Love Inspired" book for awhile and this was just so sweet. A cowboy and the woman who is carrying his brother's child? Can't you just imagine how it unfolds? It was a light, easy read but the perfect happily ever after.

I loved this book! Imagine coming home, bone-tired, after a long drive and being away for weeks to find a stranger has moved in and taken over your house. That’s what happened to Wilder, a rodeo cowboy, at the beginning of the story in this awkward meet-cute with Taylor, a pregnant woman who thought the house belonged to her (or at least to her baby) as the mother of the deceased homeowner’s child. It really pulled me into the book. It kept me turning pages just to see how the problem was resolved and then led to late nights as I read about how God took two mistreated, heartbroken people and wove their lives together into a friendship that developed into a sweet romance. I also loved the wonderful side characters in the small town especially the cantankerous next door neighbor; there was a lesson there about how angry people are usually hurt people. I loved the book and highly recommend it! I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions.

To Protect His Brother's Baby by Linda Goodnight is warm hearted Christian romance. I recommend it to all readers who enjoy Christian romances.

She's a mess, he's a godsend...

Taylor is pregnant, after being left pregnant by a bigamist marriage. She shows up at Wilder's ranch and takes over, even though she knew she did not have a legal right to be there. I really had a hard time relating to Taylor. Naive and implusive, she married and got pregnant in a matter of weeks to Wilder's half brother (now deceased).

Wilder is a great guy, responsible and mature, he only wants a family, one his father always denied him. He is very much a Bible believer and lives by that. He's kind and patient and takes care of Taylor, who she utterly depends on but won't turn to her own family one town over (eighteen miles) for help, which she does wilfully deceive Wilder about. Wilder solves all of Taylor's problems, without Taylor actually solving any of her own problems and many mistakes.
Clean read.

This was my first time reading this author and I will definitely check her out again. This was a new take on a book that I haven't read before, an uncle being concerned about his unborn nephew. I liked the interaction between Wilder and Taylor. I also really enjoyed how strong Wilders faith was despite hard times in his life. Taylor also was an endearing character as she fought to stand on her own two feet. I also enjoyed how Taylor and Wilder sought to engage their neighbor

Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own

A rodeo cowboy returns home to find a pregnant woman living in his house. She's planted a garden, raising chickens and goats, and has spruced up his home. When he finds out she was misled by his now decreased half brother he feels guilty. He agrees to let her be the caretaker of the house until the baby's born. He doesn't expect the feelings he's experiencing. When his birth father, who's never acknowledged him, shows up to stake a claim on the baby, the stakes are raised.

This is a fun and funny story of an unlikely couple who strive to make a better life for the next generation. Add in a quirky neighbor and acts of generosity, you've got an enjoyable story to read.

Although I received a free ARC ebook from Netgalley and the publisher, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received a free copy of, To protect His Brother's Baby, by Linda Goodnight, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Taylor is widowed and pregnant she unexpectedly meets her late husbands step brother Wilder. Taylor finds out a lot about her ex, that he was actually married to someone else, and her ex inlaws want her baby. I really liked the interaction between Taylor and Wilder, and Taylor and her animals. I really enjoyed this book, like I enjoy almost all of Linda Goodnight's books.

This was an interesting book to read. To Protect His Brother’s Baby is written by Linda Goodnight and I was excited to try it out. I did enjoy this book but there were times when the characters annoyed me a bit.
Taylor was kind of annoying at times, but I grew to understand her as I read the book. She felt a bit immature so it was cool to see her grow and see her need for the Lord. Taylor had to learn to ask for help and that she didn’t need to do everything on her own.
I really liked Wilder. He was such a kind character and he was trying his best. He wasn’t searching for a family and Taylor really surprised him. Wilder had to learn to trust in God’s plan and that he wasn’t his father.
Taylor and Wilder were sweet together. I liked the easy romance between them. The book was engaging and I did end up enjoying it. However, I did wish that the character's faith was more prevalent and part of the story. I would recommend To Protect His Brother’s Baby to those who enjoy Christian contemporary fiction. To Protect His Brother’s Baby is a clean Christian contemporary fiction.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

Linda Goodnight is the queen of opening scenes. She knows how to hook a reader and draw them into a book fast.

I loved the twist on the mistaken identity and forced proximity tropes. At first it took me awhile to decide this book fits those tropes because Goodnight delivers such a fresh take on them.

Taylor Matheson’s character is wonderful. She made a lot of mistakes and one of those mistakes causes her to believe the ranch she is living on is her late man’s ranch. When Wilder Littlefield returns home after a rodeo to find her there? Well, you just HAVE TO READ this book.

A rich backstory and deep characters with beautiful growth make this book a delight to read and very hard to share without giving away spoilers! Such a refreshingly original book!

Fans of Christian romance, cowboy romance, and a sweet, clean read will enjoy this book immensely. If I could give it six stars, I would.

Genre: Christian Romance
Location: Mercy, Oklahoma
Romance: Very clean. Light kissing.
Faith: Wilder’s faith was very strong and he became an example to Taylor, helping her grow her faith deeper. Great application of spiritual disciplines to their lives and seeking forgiveness from God and each other.
