This was a great paranormal book and I'm here for it.

I just devoured Mistress of Souls by CM Hutton and I'm still reeling from the experience! This dark romance is a wild ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Mariax, the demoness with a penchant for mayhem, is a force to be reckoned with. Her backstory is steeped in mystery, and her past traumas have left her with a taste for control. But when she meets the local lycan alpha, things take a dramatic turn. The tension between them is palpable, and I loved watching them navigate their complicated emotions.

The world-building in this book is phenomenal. We're transported to realms both hellish and familiar, and the author does an excellent job of weaving together the different worlds and mythologies. The characters are multidimensional and complex, with flaws and motivations that make them relatable and human.

Now, about that spice... fans self Let's just say that Mistress of Souls is not for the faint of heart. The kink is abundant, and the author doesn't shy away from exploring themes of power exchange, BDSM, and more. If you're looking for a book that will push your boundaries, this is it.

But be warned: the ending is a cliffhanger, and I'm left eagerly awaiting the next installment. The author's writing is engaging and addictive, making it impossible to put the book down.

In short, Mistress of Souls is a must-read for fans of dark romance and kink. With its unique world-building, complex characters, and scorching hot scenes, this book will leave you breathless and wanting more.

Buckle up, folks - this one's a wild ride!

This was good! I got a little bored towards the ending, and I didn’t get engaged enough to read the next book, but it was good.

The premise of the book was good. Unfortunately the editing wasn’t done very well. Quite a few sentences that didn’t make sense and a lot of grammatical errors. The story itself started off great and I was drawn in, but it was a struggle to read from about half way.

This spicy Femme Domme monster book was everything I never knew I needed. Equal parts spice and plot, character growth, and that cliffy!? Whew. I cannot wait to see what comes next!

I was blown away by this book, which is a dark and twisted paranormal romance with a badass heroine and a reverse harem of sexy monsters. The story follows Veronica, or Mistress Mariax, who is a former torturer from the hellish realm of Inferuna. She escaped to Earth and opened a sex dungeon for supernaturals, where she indulges in her passion for pain and pleasure. However, she soon realizes that her past is catching up with her, and she has to face the enemies and secrets that threaten her life and her heart.

The author does an amazing job of creating a gripping and immersive story, with a unique and original magic system. The world-building is rich and detailed, with different realms, races, and cultures. The plot is full of action, suspense, mystery, and twists that keep you guessing and hooked. The romance is hot and steamy, with a diverse and dynamic cast of love interests. Each of them has their own personality, backstory, and connection with Veronica. They are not just there to please her, but to challenge her, support her, and love her.

The best part of this book, though, is the character of Veronica herself. She is not your typical heroine. She is dark, complex, flawed, and fierce. She has a traumatic and violent past that shaped her into who she is today. She does not apologize for her choices or desires. She is confident, powerful, and dominant. She is also loyal, compassionate, and vulnerable. She has layers and depth that make her relatable and realistic. She is not perfect, but she is perfect for me.

This book is not for the faint of heart. It is dark, gritty, and graphic. It contains scenes of violence, torture, abuse, BDSM, and sex with multiple partners. It also explores themes of trauma, redemption, identity, and love. It is not a light or easy read, but it is a rewarding and satisfying one. It will make you feel all kinds of emotions, from anger to fear to joy to lust. It will make you think and question your own morals and beliefs. It will make you fall in love with the characters and their journey.

This book is a masterpiece of dark paranormal romance. It is one of the best books I have ever read in this genre. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a strong heroine, a reverse harem of monsters, a captivating plot, and a steamy romance. I can't wait to read more from this author!

This was such a SPICY and fun read. I loved the different POV’s. this does end in a cliffhanger but it makes me more excited to read the next 2 books in the series. I NEED to know what happened to Ian and Hunter and what is going after Mariax. Thank you NetGalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

Let's be honest for a minute. I saw some of the quotes/scenes on Instagram or Tiktok and I needed it. I knew nothing of the plot and those social media posts certainly weren't about the plot.

And it did not disappoint. Opening immediately into a spicy MM scene, the scenes just ramped up for there as we got into the actual plot of the story. The story itself is incredibly fast paced and I found myself at the last page in a few hours.

Listen, I have to get it out of the way. You know those paranormal beings? They use their respective accessories and parts in the most creative and hot ways. There are piercings, unique tail tips, werewolves bringing their best features. I mean, look at that cover, clearly this was going to be a hot read.

But moving outside the spice, the story itself was interesting. The characters compliment and challenge each other well. Mariax was created in Hell as a demon, but fled to escape her ex. Striking up her new Mistress persona, she runs a club where she finds herself in a unique relationship--and a dominance war with her new partners. Created as a torture demon, she brings a unique element to both her persona and relationship.

I did have NO idea that this was a series and there is a cliffhanger that left me tabbing between pages thinking maybe my copy was missing pages. Unfortunately not.

I sadly DNFed this book. I think if you are looking for a smutty book with lots of BDSM and demons definitely give this a chance. I just needed more plot and something to. hook me other than that. I also felt like sometimes it was too much. The cover is gorgeous and drew me in. I did enjoy the FMC but that wasn't enough for me to keep reading. After a while, I found myself uninterested and not able to pick up the book. Some of the writing was a little off to me. I also felt like the world-building wasn't there. I know many people who would probably love this book though. I am just not the audience for it.

The cover of Mistress of Souls is an immediate attention-grabber. The artwork is stunning, and it's a book I'd proudly display on my shelf. The spice level in this book is A+, catering to those who enjoy a steamy read filled with demons, shifters, and a female-owned and run BDSM club. The heat and pace of the story are commendable, but unfortunately, the plot falls flat for me.

While I appreciate the darkness and the triggers, and I'm all for erotica, I found myself longing for a more substantial plot. There's no shortage of shorter books out there if I just want spice and sex, but I picked up Mistress of Souls for more than that. The lack of plot development left me feeling unsatisfied.

That said, Mistress of Souls is a beautifully delicious Paranormal Romance. If you like your books filthy, twisted, and filled with monsters, this might be your kind of book. Mariax's character is genius, from her tail to her complex personality. The balance of mystery and detail in the plot is well-executed, but I felt it dragged on at the beginning. The chemistry between the characters needs more intimacy that's not just sexual, and the excessive amount of technical and editorial errors in the ARC I received was distracting.

Despite these criticisms, there's much to enjoy in Mistress of Souls. It manages to be gory and dark while still keeping a cozy and fun vibe. The urban fantasy setting, the unique take on hell, and the female (demon) owned sex club are perfect. Mariax's character is strong, soft, and caring, and her tail alone is an amazing character with a big personality.

Mistress of Souls is a book that's all sex and little plot, which might be fine for some readers. The sex scenes are great, exploring everything under the sun, but the pacing and character development were off. Overall, it was an enjoyable read, but the holes in the plot and focus on sex left me feeling like something was missing.

An addictive book I'd recommend to everyone looking for a good paranormal smutty romance that will 100% be getting your panties up in a twist.

Mistress of souls was well.... Addictive. It was wild, it was sensual,it was sexy and the character dynamics had me at the edge of my sit. Not often do you meet such a sassy character as the fmc in this book, and when I tell you I was OBSESSED with her and the mmc I mean it.

The cover was gorgeous and the characters are great but there’s very little substance and so I had to DNF this book because I just couldn’t get in to it.

I’ve tried on several occasions to read this book, but unfortunately it lacks any real plot to hold my interest. I DNF at 35%. Beautiful cover, a main character with potential, but not for me. There is a lot of BDSM play for those looking for that without much substance. The reader keeps getting hints of a past, but just not enough to keep me going. Honestly, I was getting bored with even the spicy. Too much is just too much.

What can I say about Mistress of Souls apart from I absolutely loved it!!
It's fantastic, I think one word to describe would be Sexy!
The storyline is fantastic, it's well written and the characters are hot!
Put aside the sexiness of this novel it, the main character Mariax is trying to escape her dark past.
The characters just gell together and brings life to this novel.
Love it and I want more

The cover is eye-catching, utterly gorgeous. The story itself had me melting, burning with how hot it was. It's spicy and I loved it. There are moments that had me swooning in this paranormal romance. I would definitely love to read more by this author.
