This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series, and this latest book was awesome!
Willa's old colleagues from her previous cheese store job have come to town for the reading of a will and a convention. Max, Willa's beloved ex boss, has died and everyone is desperate for his Blue Cheese secret recipe and location. Lots of chaos erupts after the will is read and no one has inherited the secret. When Willa starts getting secret clues to the hidden cheese in the mail, things take a deadly turn. One of the friends is dead, and all of them are suspects and have motive. BUT, will Willa risk her budding relationship with Detective Heath to do some sleuthing with her fellow Cheese Group?
This can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend the series. Recipes at the end are amazing.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Get ready to laugh and get your sleuth hats on as this was the best cheese shop mystery yet! Korina Moss is an expert at weaving in Willa's delight and love of cheese with a twisty mystery, and it was tough to put this book down! I really enjoyed seeing this glimpse into Willa's previous experiences as a cheesemonger and also the competition and greed that there is in the cheese world. It fascinated me! Team Cheese was also absolutely hilarious with their shenanigans and plans to uncover the murderer, and I just had so much fun reading this book. I already can't wait to gobble up the next cheese mystery.

A CHEESESHOP MYSTERY #4

As a cheese lover, this is a favorite series of mine. It’s newer so you have time to catch up!

So we are back in Yarrow Glen and the Northwest Cheese Invitational has come to the Northwest. Willa Bauer owns Curds & Whey, the local cheese shop,
Willa is excited and looking forward to a lot of good cheese. They will also be honoring her old boss, Max. Famous for his bleus, everyone thinks his will can finally give them the location of the famous bleus.

But will reading is tricky. And Max has one more surprise up his sleeve. A clue. Yes, that’s it. Just a clue. And the person who was predicted and expected to receive the secrets of Max, is done in!

Who knew the cheese business could be so cutthroat? Is someone really killing to win cheese?

Cheesemongers are gathered for the Northwest Cheese Invitational, where Willa Bauer's former employer, deceased Max Dumas, will be honored for his famous Church Bleu cheese. Willa's former coworkers are gathered for the reading of the will to learn who has inherited the recipe for the famous cheese.
The heirs must solve the clues left behind by Max for the recipe. When one of Max's employees is murdered, it becomes evident that someone is willing to do anything to obtain the recipe.

I didn't realize this was the fourth book in the series but it made entry into the series easy which is what I love about most mystery series. Willa and her friends/employees Mrs. Schultz and Adam find themselves in the thick of another murder. Willa's former boss/mentor, Max, has passed away leaving behind his Church Bleu, a blue cheese that everyone loves and the cheesemongers assume will be worth a fortune if only if they knew where he aged the cheese (as aging is the key to cheese). Max didn't leave Willa anything in his will but he did leave things to her other coworkers, Kendall, Claire, Pepper and Freddie who are all there hoping to get the recipe to the cheese. His estranged daughter, Maxine, gets his cheese shop but since she sees her dad as loving cheese more than her, she merely wants to sell it.

However no one gets the recipe, everyone is on the hunt for it. When the cheesemonger everyone thought would get the recipe dies of an allergic reaction and it was no accident, Willa is drawn into finding who killed her - and to help clear the reputation of her friend whose wine was used to do the killing.

I liked Willa and her friends. I guessed most of the red herrings but not necessarily the killer as everyone had a motive, too many motives really. I have to say I wasn't a giant fan of the ending but it makes sense. I found it annoying, however.

the one thing I did like was Willa could admit she was wrong. There is a bit of a romance developing between her and the lead detective (my favorite type of amateur sleuth story because it makes sense as to why their interference is allowed) but he asks her to not do something and she does anyhow. She doesn't protest or throw a fit over him being angry with her which I've seen too many times in other books. She isn't happy about it but she knows she's in the wrong so kudos for portraying that in a believable way. I'm curious to see where this series goes.

Cheese Makers Cozy
Ms. Moss’ Cheese Shop series is an excellent read and this installment is no different.
Willa owns and runs Curds & Whey along with her two assistants, who are also friends. She learned her craft under the tutelage of Max Dumas, who has now passed away. There is a frenzy for the recipe for his famous “Church Bleu’ cheese.
There’s a scene at the posthumous honorarium and the murder of one of his current student/employee at a picnic later.
Accusations are flung around and Willa and friends snoop to find out why Kendall had died.
The tale moves along quickly with twists and a bit of romance and is a treat to read.
I requested and received a Netgalley ARC gratis andoffer my \opinion in the same

I'd forgotten about this series, and this was a welcome reminder. I thought some of the questions left open at the end, while perhaps realistic, were a little too open for this kind of genre escapism. I enjoyed the recipes, as always.

I'd say that the murderous search for a particular cheese was exaggerated, but I know people will go overboard with a fixation. A pleasant enough way to while away a few hours.

I've read the other titles in this series and enjoyed them, but this one didn't measure up. It seems Willa and her pals don't care if they jeopardize themselves while they investigate no matter what Detective Heath asks. Some old friends of Willa's are on the trail of a famous bleu cheese invented by their mentor, now dead. He leaves clues as to where they can find his secret, but not before someone is murdered. Really a 2.5 stars book.

I love a good cozy mystery, and Case of the Bleus is a fabulous choice if you're craving a mystery with a culinary spin. This is a new series to me, but the author does a great job reintroducing characters without spoiling the plots of the previous books. In Case of the Bleus, Willa Bauer reconnects with former colleagues at the Northwest Cheese Invitational, whom she hasn't seen since opening her own cheese shop in Sonoma. Willa's mentor, Max Dumas, has just died, and everyone who worked in his shop is desperate to get their hands on his top-secret and extremely valuable recipe for a rare bleu cheese. When one of the cheesemongers is murdered, Willa vows to solve the mystery and find the secret recipe before anyone else becomes the next victim. I loved the Northern Californian setting, the recipes, the descriptions of cheese, and the mystery which includes riddles and clues from Max. Fans of culinary mysteries are sure to enjoy this series! Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the librarian preview copy.

Willa's cheese mentor, Max Dumas, has passed away and is being memorialized at a local cheese conference. Her old co-workers and Max's estranged daughter are in attendance. Everyone is wondering who inherited the recipe for Max's most favorite cheese and some will do anything to get it for themselves.

This series makes me crave cheese like crazy!!! The recipes sound so good and the author makes them seem so easy to make (though when I look at the recipes I always think, nope, not happening.) I also love the fantasy world of cozies where people can open these specialty shops and have so many customers they have several employees hopping all day long because they're so busy. Even better when said specialty shop is surrounded by other similar shops or artisans who get to make a living following their passions in some sweet little village where everyone is kind and good (well... perhaps not everyone!)

The storyline in this book was somewhat complicated because of the vast number of suspects who were all consistently interacting with one another. I found it a bit hard to follow in places and I must admit that one reveal was mystifying to me because I couldn't recall who the character was until several pages in. The number of suspects definitely kept things interesting but could be a bit hard to follow if you don't read through it quickly enough to keep everyone straight in your mind (and I have a tendency to read more than one book at a time, which can complicate things.)

Overall this is a series I really enjoy and in this book there were a few things going on that I think will lead to other storylines in future books so I'm definitely on the hook for future books.

Thank you to the author, the publisher, and to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's press/Minotaur books for the arc! Another great cozy mystery novel. Even though it's a cozy mystery still always makes you feel cozy while reading 😊 Enjoyed all of the characters! The author did a great job pulling this reader into the story. Will recommend!

The book was a well written cozy mystery about cheese. The characters were enjoyable. There was a murder in the book.

Willa Bauer is catching up with some old colleagues, as well as mourning the loss of her prior employer at a cheese event in her small town. Max Dumas was not only her boss, but he was also the one who trained her in the art of cheesemongering and supported her when she started her own business. He was famous for his secret bleu cheese recipe, one that was thought to have died with him. However, now everyone is in town awaiting the results of his will, including his estranged daughter he recently had reconnected with.

When one of Willa's former colleagues is murdered, Willa and her group of friends (Team Cheese, as they call themselves) gather to solve the crime.

Overall, the mystery was good. The author keeps you guessing until the end on who the actual killer is.

Thank you to NetGalley, St Martin Press and Minotaur books for an advanced copy of this book.

Cheese lovers unite in Korina Moss’s CASE OF THE BLEUS: A CHEESE SHOP MYSTERY, the fourth book in the Cheese Shop
series. Willa and her Curds & Whey cheese-shop employees, Archie and Mrs. Schultz, attend the Northwest Cheese International, held in Yarrow Glen in the Sanoma Valley. During the event, Willa meets up with former colleagues from the Church Cheese Shop to honor their deceased co-worker, Max Dumas, and his award-winning Church Bleu cheese creation. Who will inherit the secrets of Max’s Church Bleu cheese? It certainly won’t be Willa’s dead former colleague. Willa calls on Team Cheese (Archie, Mrs. Schultz, Baz, Roman, and Willa) to solve the mystery.

Korina Moss has created characters I care about. It is fun to return to the world of Willa Bauer and her Cheese & Whey cohorts. CASE OF THE BLEUS gets my recommendation, and I look forward to reading future books in the Cheese Shop Mystery series. Thank you, St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley, for giving me the opportunity to read and review the e-arc of CASE OF THE BLEUS.

I love the Cheese Shop Mystery series by Korina Moss and Case of the Blues is a great addition! I couldn't put it down! Willa Bauer owns a cheese shop and some former coworkers are in town for a cheese showcase event. Her old boss Max died but had won the event with a popular bleu cheese so he is being honored. There are 6 suspects until one of them ends up dead. No one knows where Max's special bleu cheese is aged and this secret is worth a lot of money and possibly worth killing for! I love Team Cheese which is the sleuthing group of Willa's friends Baz, Mrs Schultz, Archie and Roman. I love the comradery among the friends. Willa is a strong independent main character and she does what she feels is right. There are several romance possibilities among the group of friends but we'll have to wait and see what transpires. I really enjoyed this book and series! I can't wait for the next book. I received an advance copy for free and I voluntarily leave this review. #CaseOfTheBleus #CheeseShopMysteries. #NetGalley #MinotaurBooks #StMartinsPress

Willa is looking forward to seeing her old coworkers, even if it is for the sad reason of their previous boss' death. Unfortunately it turns out that those other employees are not as nice as she remembered, and infighting over the shop and recipe may lead to big trouble for everyone.

#CaseoftheBleusACheeseShopMystery #NetGalley is the next book in this series by Korina Moss.

Willa's mentor, Max, is being honored for creating the best blue cheese, but his death has everyone scrambling to get his secret recipe.

This series is fun to read, and all the characters are entertaining and add color to this series.

When her beloved mentor is being memorialized at the Northwest Cheese Invitational, Willa is only happy to reconnect with former coworkers and friends and honor her mentor. But everyone is up in arms because Max’s legacy, a blue cheese only he has the recipe for, is threatened with extinction.

When Max’s will is read, a clue is given as to where his recipe is. When Willa is mailed additional clues and told that she is the one to whom he’s leaving his legacy, she finds herself in the middle of a search that leads to murder. Can Willa figure out the location of the famous Blue Cheese while also solving the murder and stay one step ahead of a killer?

I love this series. I love cheese, so it’s no surprise this series caught my attention when it first came out…and I haven’t missed a new drop yet! I love the setting in California and the small town vibe as well as Loretta the beta fish and the cast of regulars. Be sure to check out not only the solid whodunit in each book, but also the recipes included at the end. Both deliver a feast for the cozy cheese lover!

I enjoyed this book although I’m not that into cheese. I really liked the mystery of the riddles and the ending. The riddles made that mystery of who the killer is more interesting as there is more going on. #CaseoftheBleus #NetGalley
