An Unexpected Thing is a sweet book to help young children address their fears and anxieties. The illustrations are beautiful. I loved the beautiful geriatrics in color. Fred and Coco were so sweet and I enjoyed the message that their differences showed. Coco was able to help Fred with his fears. It was really touching. My son enjoyed the book and stayed engaged throughout.
