A fun and steamy read that didn't shy away from addiction and what it does to those around it, family trauma, siblings' relationship, and character development.
Thea is a shy paleontologist who's a bridesmaids for her famous sister 80's themed reality TV wedding. She's working through the 4 F's (fight, flight, freeze and fawn) with her psychologist and when she finds out that she's only in it because of the producers of the show, she chooses to fight .
Kade is the grooms grumpy brother who's a true crime author and who doesn't want to be part of the wedding but is there for his brother. He was hooked with her but didn't think anything would come from it.
I was given a free copy of this book from Valentine PR and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

ABGER BANG.
YUP, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS.

EXCEPT IT WASN'T.

WHEN AN ANGER BANG, OUT OF SPITE FOR HER SISTERS RIDICULOUS REALITY TV WEDDING, TURNS INTO AN EXPERIMENT, THINGS GET HEATED AND GET SO MUCH MORE. ONE ANGER BANG TURNS INTO MORE.

THIS BOOK WAS SO FUNNY, AND SO CUTE AND I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

Lights Camera Action! Thea is stuck playing along at her sisters 80’s reality show wedding even though she knows her sister didn’t want her there. Enter the Groom brother and the perfect plan to get through this wedding. Kade St James is confident and sexy where Thea is shy! These two on paper are a hit! Sexy scenes and funny banter makes this a sure win. The only thing is what happens when feeling start to flare up and you know that there is an expiration date? Loved this book and at first I didn’t like Thea sister much and felt sorry for Kades brother but after some reading my mind warmed up to her😁

My high expectations for this to be a fantastic read were not only met, but exceeded. Avery Flynn writes books full of sass, humor, steam, a little crazy and a lot of emotion. I love her storytelling and her relatable characters.

The therapist Thea is reluctantly seeing due to her friend’s cajoling gives her a homework assignment - she’s no longer to just go along with what other people want or expect of her. Not such an easy assignment when she’s off to Wyoming to participate in her sister’s 80’s themed reality TV wedding. Thea makes an effort to get in touch with how she reacts to situations and is surprised with what happens when she no longer suppresses
her feelings.

Kade is a lovable character who avoids relationships to avoid getting hurt of left by loved ones. He is attracted to one of the bridesmaids and is shocked when she propositions him to anger bang as revenge against bride who is a total bridezilla at the most inopportune moment while the live-streaming cameras are rolling. From their first crazy meeting until the very end, Thea and Kade kept me engrossed in what was going to happen next.

I received a free ARC from the author and Valentine PR and NetGallery; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.

I'm not gonna lie… I requested an ARC for this book because not only is the title funny, but also the cover is hilarious! I really didn’t have high expectations but I'm so glad I requested this book because I absolutely had the best time reading it!

The characters are both hilarious and endearing. Thea has a lot of personal issues that she's working through with the help of her therapist, and she really decides to just put herself out there at her sister's wedding. Kade is very closed off and doesn’t get close to people, but when he meets Thea he starts catching feelings. They are so good for one another in so many ways.

The spice in this book is on point - Kade St James has a MOUTH on him that is put to use in many ways that had me fanning myself several times. The chemistry between Thea and Kade is just off the charts and their banter throughout the book had me goofy grinning and kicking my feet it was so freaking cute.

While the book is steamy and humorous, it also explores major struggles such as alcoholism and how a parent struggling with that addiction can truly impact their children for life. I always appreciate when an author can weave this kind of reality into their books as it brings an extra layer to the plot that really amps things up and makes you feel invested in the characters working through their struggles.

The plot line of the reality TV wedding being full on 80s themed was a bit too outrageous for me - I'm trying to see in my head how anyone these days would think that's a good idea when TV and social media is all about attaining perfection and that "Pinterest-worthy" look for these types of occasions. But, it IS just fiction therefore it works because it only made things even more ridiculous in a good way.

While I may have went into this book with low expectations, I came out of it so glad I read it! I'd love to see another book about Thea's sister and Kade's brother… here's hoping!

I received an advanced copy of this ebook, but the review is my own.

Oh, this book! My heart broke for Thea. I wanted to throttle her sister with an ugly bridesmaid dress. Her mom and a lot of others were no better. I did LOL too. I read the book while I was getting my hair done. The other people in the salon looked at me like I was odd. Ok, they aren't wrong.

Thea is a former child star who escaped acting when she hit her teens. Then her sister took her place. Their mom was a real monster momager.
Thea's sister and another star are getting married now as a publicity stunt. They are having an over-the-top 80's wedding, which is being filmed to be trashy reality tv.

Thea doesn't want any part of the wedding but she is doing it for her sister. When her sister tells her that she didn't want her in the wedding and that the only reason she did is because the producers made her, Thea is hurt.

Thea's sister was afraid that her bridesmaids would hook up with the groomsmen. So Thea decides to do just that with the best man, who is the grooms brother that her sister can't stand. But that turns into a potentially mortifying moment until Kade, the best man, saves the day.

This book was a really fun read.

This was definitely a steamy romcom! There were some pretty spicy scenes and many funny moments. I thought some parts were a little ridiculous though. Kade did go through some healing from his past, but it wasn't until after he hurt Thea. I was a little mad at him because he was so stupid for saying what he did, especially when he didn't mean it. Also, their siblings had their own drama and that also made me mad, because they just had to talk to each other to avoid the whole mess.

I'm glad that Thea ended up getting some clarity and thus, some healing from her past once her family explained things to her. Also, Kade was able to realize what was truly important and had character growth.

Some parts were a bit slow, but nevertheless I enjoyed this.

This was such a fun book. It was quirky, low angst and fun. Anger Bang follows awkward and people pleasing paleontologist, Thea Pope as she travels to Wyoming to participate in her younger sister's 80's themed, reality TV wedding special. Thea is a wallflower and is dreading being televised during this event, but goes to support her sister. Lots of strange and bizarre wedding challenges and costumes ensue and Thea meets the grooms older brother, Kade St. James, who is a grumpy and reserved true crime writer. This book is kind of insta-lovey but it worked for me. It was insta-lust in a high stress environment with lots of family emotions and it put their relationship on the fast track. There is steam, sisterhood and lots of dinosaur facts. The ending got a little heavy with the family drama, but the epilogue was perfect to wrap things up and give readers an extra dose of happy.

Avery Flynn is 2/2 with low angst, quirky and fun romances for every reader.

Thank you so much to Valentine PR and Entangled publishing for a copy of this eBook in exchange for an honest review.

This book was so good! The story intrigued me a lot. Thea is invited to her sisters 80’s themed TV reality wedding. Her sister turns out to be a total bridezilla that on top of everything didn’t even want her at the wedding. After her sister pushes her too far she comes up with the plan to have sex with the groom’s brother ,Kade St. James, who her sister can’t stand.
I mean this set up is just amazing on its own and I absolutely loved how Avert executed everything. The tension between Thea and Kade were so amazing. You see from both their perspectives as it switches between chapters and that made it even more perfect. I love it when you can see the story from both of the main characters’ sides as it makes everything even more intriguing. Also can I just say this cover is so amazing!

"So do you want to get out of here and have no-strings-attached, hate-the-bridezilla f*ck?"

Thea is a shy paleontologist who got dragged to the middle of nowhere Wyoming for her sister's 80's themed, celebrity filled, wedding weekend. Kade is a true crime author that also got dragged to the middle of nowhere Wyoming to the same wedding for his brother, the groom. They strike up an anger bang, science experiment type agreement to make it through the wedding week from hell.

This book had me cracking up, feeling second hand embarrassment and also the kindred connection of knowing all too well what it's like having the fawn response, the go with the flow people pleaser. I really enjoyed the idea behind this book. It tackled family issues, some mental health/social issues and forced communication. I loved all of the shenanigans Thea and Kade pulled while escaping the wedding mess and I also enjoyed how this book wrapped up.

Tropes/Content: M/F, third person, opposites attract, dual POV, 80's wedding theme, lust at first sight, dinosaurs, true crime author, reality tv

Thank you Avery Flynn, Valentine PR and NetGalley for this ARC!

Anger Bang by Avery Flynn was a snort-laugh funny read with lots of steam, heart, family drama, and some insta-love, too. It’s perfect for rom com fans who love to reminisce about the 80s (or imagine the times) and fans of Tessa Bailey or Meghan Quinn. Thanks to TLC Book Tours for the advanced reading copy, receipt of which did not impact my review.

What happens when you pair an archeologist and a crime writer at a made for tv perfect reality show of a wedding they don’t want to be at?

Fun things happen and I LOVE it!

I absolutely loved the 80’s vibes, the humor, and the two main characters! I loved their occupations, both as an archaeologist and a crime fiction writer and found so many fun throwbacks to both within the pages.

This book is FUN and you should read it. ❤️❤️

I loved it and I can’t wait to see more from Avery Flynn!

Thank you so much to Valentine PR for the advanced copy!

This hot and spicy romance surprised me with its emotional depth! Thea and Kade's no-strings-attached affair during a reality TV wedding hooked me. The love scenes were steamy, but their journey of healing and growth really got me. I loved how they worked through their pain and insecurities; the witty banter between them was a bonus. This book had humor, family drama, and a touch of dinosaurs! If you're into spicy romcoms with relatable characters, this is a must-read!

This was a pretty fun read! Thea and Kade are brought into the over-the-top reality tv wedding for their superstar siblings, Jackie and Dex. Thea is working on standing up for herself, and Kade will do anything to avoid relationships given his parent’s messy marriage. After getting swept up in both of their siblings’ pre-wedding drama, they decide they are going to take out their revenge in a no-strings-attached “anger bang” arrangement. Feelings are caught (and hurt) along the way, and the characters all grow and develop throughout the week’s festivities. I recommend this book if you like a reality TV/Hollywood themed spicy rom-com.

Thank you Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC.

Thea has always done what her family wanted and that includes being a bridesmaid for her sister whose wedding is more a production than a ceremony. The situation only becomes more difficult when she finds out that her sister doesn’t really want her there but she is doing it for publicity. She decides to take control wherever she can and that means getting involved with Kade, her sister’s soon to be brother-in-law knowing that it will infuriate her sister.

Kade isn’t any happier to have to take part in this spectacle than Thea is so when she suggests that the best way to get through the mayhem is by doing it together, he agrees. What they shared was supposed to fun and flirty but when they develop feelings for each other it will force them to deal with the past and the present.

The story is entertaining, the characters draw you in, the chemistry is intense, the banter is witty, and it still has all the feels. They are exactly what the other needs as Kade helps Thea become the woman she was always meant to be and she helps him deal with all the messy emotions that he tries to deny and the interactions between them are both humorous and hot.

Thea is a retired child actor turned paleontologist. Her sister is engaged and is having an 80s themed reality show wedding where Thea has to wear, and do, all sorts of craziness as a bridesmaid, often on camera. It's a good thing she gets to go look at bones after this!

That is until her sister says the wrong thing and Thea asks a fellow wedding party member, the groom's brother Kade, for an anger bang, while live streaming!

What could possibly go wrong?!

This was a 5 star read for me! I read it while I was taking an online archeology class and it was giving me LIFE! It's witty, full of steam, and overall just a joy.

Thanks again to Entangled for the opportunity to read this along with such a great community!

Anger Bang is a delightful rom com filled with incredible chemistry, a wonky reality TV wedding, family conflict and beauty of true love. Thea and Kade were unexpected main characters of the love story, they both lived on the side of siblings that were fabulous and larger than life. While trying to survive reality TV antics and bridezilla Kade and Thea found love and acceptance.

What happens when you find yourself a part of a reality wedding and your sister is a bridezilla who didn’t even want you to be involved? Well, if you are Thea, you decide to have an affair with the grooms brother Kade who your sister happens to hate. This is a really fun book that has great banter and so many shenanigans. It’s also about fear dealing with her own personality and starting to stand up for herself. It’s also interesting in that Kade also has to work through past family trauma. The chemistry between theory and Kade is off the charts. All in all this is a fun book. That’s perfect for summer reading.

I had so much fun reading this book. With all the banter and hotness between Kade and Thea, I had to read it in almost one sitting. I laughed out loud and fanned on hot scenes, but I had to go further into the story to see how their relationship would grow. I loved the humor, wittiness, and how the characters were developed so I felt they were real. I really enjoyed this book by Avery Flynn, who is a new author to me, but now that I like her writing style It won't be my last.
