I loved this book. I read it in 2 days because I just couldn’t put it down. I love the character development, and the growth in each character! The cameos by characters we’ve grown to love from Ice Breaker was also really fun. It was great “seeing” Nate and Stassie!
The main characters, Aurora and Russ, are complex and emotional without being too much. I love the side characters, especially Xander!
After a one night stand which ends in miscommunication. Maple Hills students Aurora and Russ find themselves working together at a summer camp. As they get to know each other it gets harder and harder to not break the camp’s no fraternization rule.
I loved the friendship between the characters. Their commitment to not being “miscommunicators”was really endearing. This is a perfect summer rom com!

This is my first Hannah Grace. I was able to enjoy the story without knowing what happened in the first book, Icebreaker. I enjoyed the banter between Russ and Aurora and the setting at a summer camp was easy to imagine. While I didn't find anything particularly life-changing about this book, it was a fun, lighthearted romance and I would recommend to anyone who enjoys romance books or has read Icebreaker and liked it.

This book was fun, fast and easy.
I really enjoyed Aurora and Russ' characters and watching their summer camp love story unfold!
I read this in three fast nights and I was sorry when it was over!

If you liked Icebreaker, you will love Wild fire. Everything that makes Icebreaker great Carrie’s over into this book in a completely different way. I love that we move away from the core group established in book 1 to focus on one of the outliers of that book, Russ, but still see those from the original group from time to time in the book. Russ and Rory’s story is every bit as engrossing as Nate and Stassie’s and just as lovable. This book balances just the right amount of spicy romance with engaging plot to take us all back to summers past.

I enjoyed Icebreaker, but Hannah Grace’s sophomore novel exceeded all expectations.
Synopsis: After a one night stand at the end of the college semester, Russ Callaghan and Aurora Roberts are shocked when they find themselves not only working at the same sleep away camp but also co-counselors for the same age group. While the camp has a strict “no staff fraternizing” policy, there is something special that starts to form between the two, but is it worth it to risk their jobs for the summer?
Thoughts: As a girl who LOVES summer camp, I feel like so much of this book was made for me. From the nosy campers, to the summer thunderstorms, evening activities and “camp goggles”, I was transported back to my own summers as a counselor. Russ was the sweetest cinnamon roll hero (and also a college hockey player). The progression of his relationship with Aurora was picture perfect, and I loved how they made a conscious effort to avoid any miscommunications. Also, I loved how they both escaped to the camp for different reasons and took the time to share their own life stories, especially when it revolved around their own family problems. My one negative was that I found the beginning confusing with all the name dropping of characters from the first book without reminding us who they were in relation to the new main characters.
Read if you like:
-Summer camp setting
-One night stand
-Forced proximity
-Found family
-Hockey player hero
-College aged characters
Thank you Atria for the ARC. Pub date 10/3

I really liked how the author took me back to my days as a camp counselor. The characters were relatable and had me routing for them from page 1. Great summer read! Really loved how it all wrapped up in the epilogue too!

I was so excited to read Wildfire after reading Hannah Grace's Icebreaker! Returning to Maple Hills was so fun, I absolutely LOVED this story and the characters. After a one night stand, Russ and Aurora find themselves working at the same summer camp. We then spend the summer with them as they navigate their own personal struggles.
The arcs that Russ and Aurora have is so important. I appreciate that Hannah Grace doesn't shy away from writing about important topics that many real people deal with (e.g., addiction, bending over backwards to please a parent who will never give us what we are looking for). And while reading about the characters dealing with all of these important issues, I found myself laughing out loud numerous times throughout the story. I am obsessed with this story and these characters, and this book cemented Hannah Grace as an all-time favorite author for me!

I was not able to finish this book. I found the characters to be contrived and immature. The plot was not much better. I am a fan of romance, but not at the expense of decent writing. I'm sure this will be a hit in certain circles, but it is a hard-pass for me.

I read this before reading Icebreaker, but after seeing all the hockey swooning on TikTok - just for background.
Wildfire solidly hits the New Adult genre, placing real weight on questions of college and growing up and finding a place outside family connections. A lot of the growth moments happen when the characters assert their independence from family. However, I don't think the BookTok fans are going to jump on this one as much as Icebreaker - it's a lower spice level and a smaller, more intimate story.

Hannah Grace's novel "Wildfire" is a thrilling and fast-paced ride that keeps readers hooked from start to finish. The story's compelling protagonist and her journey of self-discovery add depth and relatability to the narrative. The fiery romance keep the pages turning. While the plot is engaging, there were moments when the pacing felt a bit rushed, and further exploration of certain subplots would have enriched the overall experience. Despite this, "Wildfire" is a gripping novel that successfully combines passion and intrigue, making it a captivating read for fans of romance.

Absolutely screaming, crying, throwing up that I was given an eARC of this thanks to the author, the publisher, and netgalley.
I moved it to the top of my TBR immediately and it did not disappoint.
I thought I loved Russ in Icebreaker but phew girlie I had not a single clue… and Aurora was so likable too.
This was a perfect follow up and I was so glad to see the whole host of characters again. I loved the plot and the references to other romance books and tropes.
Now…. Onto patiently waiting for Henry and then JJ’s stories, please.

Wildfire is Hannah graces sophomore book to the booktok sensation Icebreaker in her maple hills series and while it’s a great book I don’t think it lives up to the hype as its predecessor.
At first when I read the story was going to take place at summer camp I was kinda like really? And not in a good way. I don’t know why but I don’t like a good summer camp romance. However the setting of the book actually didn’t overshadow the arc of the characters whereas some books I know it does.
Both Aurora and Russ have daddy issues and while i believe the author did a great job in showing growth in Russ’s character when it comes to the father son relationship. I don’t feel that same natural growth for Aurora.
Both of them together were were great and the spicy scenes weren’t as spicy as in Icebreaker however every time Russ said good girl to Aurora that was 🥵.
Hannah grace builds on an already amazing ensemble cast of characters and hopefully get to see a certain someone in future books.
Wildfire doesn’t set the reader ablaze but will definitely leave the reader wanting to see what happens next in Maple Hills

I went into this totally blind and not knowing what to expect. I never read Icebreaker because I’m not into hockey…it just didn’t appeal to me. That said, I really loved this story! Hannah Grace does a great job bringing the characters to life and giving them relatable flaws/problems. It’s the perfect mix between lighthearted romance and tackling serious topics. The relationship between the group of friends is also so wholesome and heartwarming, it leaves you wanting to be part of their gang. After reading this, I can say for sure I will be going back to read Icebreaker and will be adding anything Hannah Grace to my TBR from now on.
Thanks to Netgalley and Atria books for the advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review!

I fell in love with Hannah Grace's writing with "Icebreaker" (obviously), so I was pretty nervous getting into her second book. Sometimes authors really are one hit wonders! This, fortunately, was not the case.
"Wildfire" had the same great chemistry and sexy scenes that "Icebreaker" had, and it also featured sweet Russ Callaghan. He was one of my favorite guys from the first book, and I'm so happy that we got to see him fall in love with Aurora.
From family drama to trust issues to a strict no-fraternization rule at the camp they work at, these two have their fair share of complications. But watching them fall in love was worth it!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

While I don't this this will have as much appeal as Icebreaker because of how much of a slow burn it is, it will definitely have strong appeal for the New Adult Reader.

I absolutely LOVED this book and I am so floored by Hannah Grace's ability to capture the true essence of a romance novel.
Russ and Aurora's relationship builds so naturally, and I really felt as though I was watching two distant, loose acquaintances get together more so than reading about two fictional characters.
I loved the friendships between the hockey boys and also the ones between the camp counselors; one of my favorite features in books is friend groups and their dynamics and Hannah Grace definitely knocked it out of the park.
All in all, this was a great follow up to Icebreaker and the perfect way to further craft the Maple Hills universe. I'm 100% excited to see where this series takes me next and I can't wait.
P.S. -- I'm immensely grateful for the lack of a third act breakup because I despise that trope and it's a breath of fresh air to not have to deal with it.

After reading Hannah Grace's Icebreaker a few months back, I was excited to pick up Wildfire--and it did not disappoint.
The one negative thing I'll say is that I felt like Nate and Stassie had more chemistry in Icebreaker. HOWEVER, this story stays true to the Russ we met in that book. He's kind, gentle, a bit shy, but clearly fits in with the hockey group, which means he's funny and charming, too.
The biggest plus of Wildfire is how quickly it went. Over 400 pages, this book flew in comparison to Icebreaker (which I felt could have stopped 2 or 3 times before it actually reached it's conclusion). Russ and Rory have the forced proximity trope working in their favor. They both know their daddy issues, so their story is much more straight forward. A little miscommunication. A little hesitance. But we know where it's going from chapter one, and getting there is still a fun ride.
It's a cute story with a couple steamy scenes. Definitely worth the read!
Overall: 4 stars
I'll tell my students about: alcohol, language, sex, trauma
**Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the free ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.**

I was extremely excited to receive an early copy of this book, because of how well received Icebreaker was and how I couldn't wait to see what Hannah did next. This book was by a long shot my favourite of the two books so far and I really enjoyed getting thrown back into the Maple Hill world again.
Russ and Aurora are so much more interesting and have more chemistry than I initially anticipated which made me fall head over heels for this book. They continuously complimented each other, Russ being very much the golden retriever of the relationship and Aurora being the loyal but persistent person in the relationship.
The plot and storyline for this book was so well written and fleshed out, that it was easy to follow. This was a book that I enjoyed outside in the sun, and one I will definitely be picking up again in the fall to read again. It was a fantastic book, and I can't wait to read more from Hannah.
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another wonderful romance from Hannah Grace. As someone who is fairly new to the romance community I am a bit unsure of what I like and don’t like in my romance novels. Whatever Hannah Grace puts into her books, that’s what I like. I love how fluffy and feel good this is all while still tackling real issues that the characters are dealing with and a bit of spice thrown in for good measure. I will be counting down the days until this book is out into the world and I can fangirl with everyone

Comparing this book to Icebreaker, it was quite underwhelming. I was not connected to the characters as much as the first book and it wasn’t as fun. What I enjoyed the most about this whole series is the friend group and how supportive they all were.
