It's official...Hannah Grace can do no wrong! While WILDFIRE is quite different from ICEBREAKER, it has just as much charm and the characters are just as endearing (plus some excellent spice!).

This one was a fun read, although it felt more like the characters were in high school rather than college. I almost feel like this story could have been way shorter, it was obvious they both wanted to be together but were just dancing around it. Was still a fun summer read.

I really didn't like this one :( I actually had a fun time reading Ice Breaker, my only issue with it was that the relationship was kind of portraying toxic traits. This isn't a review of book 1 but I'll be getting back to this cause it comes up in Wildfire too.

I was really excited by the summer camp setting plus seeing more of Russ but this fell flat for me. There wasn't a clear story arc and nothing really happened so I was bored most of the time. There wasn't any dimension to the characters and reading the spicy bits really felt like I was reading generic copy-paste smut. Russ felt like a completely different person during those parts. Also why so short and so many? It was getting repetitive with nothing new to deliver.

Finally, why is it made to seem like it's okay that Aurora asks to know every personal detail of Russ's life and when he doesn't share she's justified to storm off? I get that people look past a lot of toxicity in romance novels for the vibes but it's not for me.

Wildfire is the perfect followup to Icebreaker. It includes characters that were introduced in the first book, but feels so fresh and new.
At the last party of the school year, Russ and Aurora give in to the chemistry between them and have a one-night stand. Aurora immediately flees and is sure she won't see Russ again anytime soon. However, neither of them know that they are both Camp Counselors at the same summer camp. A summer camp where there is an absolutely no fraternization allowed.
This was incredibly charming. I loved the relationship that forms between Russ and Aurora. I also appreciated that they felt like real people with their own issues.

This was a new to me author but one I had been looking forward to reading because of all the buzz from her previous book. I enjoyed the character and relationship development in this book. Russ and Rory are so cute! Not as spicy as some other authors but the slow burn was worth the wait.

End of the semester, house party, hook-up... it's most likely to be a one-night thing. Shy-guy Russ decides to go after the girl, Aurora, who is a life of the party person. Aurora is used to keeping guys at arm's length, but Russ is different. She'd be interested in a bit more, but Russ disappears after their hookup. Oh, well. She's going to her happy place for the summer, so no big deal. Russ, however, couldn't get his nerve up to ask Aurora out, but he's leaving the next day for his summer job. When both end up working at the same summer camp, they must navigate their feelings, their horrible families, and the pesky no fraternizing rule at summer camp.

Lots of fun, a total summer romance. Heavy on the spicy sparks.

Wildfire is another fun and flirty romcom from Hannah Grace, and unexpectedly, I liked it even better than Icebreaker. We were introduced to Russ only briefly in Icebreaker, as the boy with the troubled home doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, and in this one we get to understand exactly where he came from, and where he’s trying to go. Russ and Rory have a one-night stand, a matching set of daddy issues, and a lot more going on than meets the eye. They are so sweet to each other, and they fit really well into the Summer Camp setting—a favorite of mine. It’s a quick and simple read, and checked a lot of boxes for me.

Thank you to Atria and NetGalley for providing an advanced review copy.

Really enjoyed reading this book. I think it is well-written and feels appropriate for college aged relationships. I would definitely recommend to young adults!

I requested this for consideration for Book Riot's All the Books podcast for its release date. After sampling several books out this week, I decided to go with a different book for my review.

This was so cute! I loved the way that they met at a party and how he was shy when talking to her. I think every girl would love to be with a guy who is shy around them because they think we’re so pretty! I just wish there were more times where they had tension and longing.

This book was better that I thought it would be. It is a very cute book and concentrates a lot on personal growth and self talk as well as healthy relationship dynamics. I appreciated those aspects being sprinkled in along with it being a spicy romance, camp scenario. I will definitely go back and read more in the same world. I have not read Icebreaker yet!

I DNFed this book. I honestly do not get the hype around this work, and not a huge fan of the writing. I didn't read their first book, but I had high hopes for this one.

For anyone worried about whether or not Hannah Grace was going to deliver with book two, fear not because she has done it again. This has all the spice and banter we love and our favorite returning characters. Hannah Grace is a force and this book is a masterpiece.

I really enjoyed this contemporary romance. The characters were adorable and there was a nice amount of spice thrown in.

I loved the second book in the Maple Hills series by Hannah Grace. It was just as swoonworthy and addictive as her first book, Icebreaker. Wildfire features another hockey player who has swagger and knows how to make a girl swoon. I loved that the book took place at summer camp; the two main characters were camp counselors for the summer. I would classify this as a. new adult, as the characters are both college aged. Great story line, lots of angst, and lots of steam.

I liked the very beginning of this book--I think the way that Grace spent so much time on the "setup" one night stand really emulates the feeling of a night out when you're young. But the camp setting, though cute, didn't feel like it used the charming cast of characters from book 1 to its fullest. This was overall satisfying, though.

A solid second book in the series, though I was hoping for Henry's story. Can we get his next? Good spice, and solid storyline.

3.75 stars
I really enjoyed these characters and their story. I had such high expectations after IceBreaker that I was a little underwhelmed by this story. It didn't completely make sense why she picked Russ as the main character when he was pretty minor in the first book in the series.
The two main characters really bonded over their daddy issues and suffered from a lot of miscommunication because they didn't want to talk about those issues. Sometimes the characters felt superficial because as a reader we also didn't always get the details that helped explain the character.

I had lower expectations for this book because I had wanted to learn Henry's story first, but wow did I enjoy these characters. Russ is such a sweetheart! I loved learning his story. He and Aurora both had interesting backgrounds and things they needed to come to terms with and move on from. The camp setting made it harder to build the sexual tension, but I got to learn so much more about the personalities of the characters because of it. There was still sufficient spicy though. Overall a great read!

This was a breath of fresh air. I absolutely adored this book and it's actually my first book by Hannah Grace. I loved the low angst, the impeccable communication between the two characters and most of all I loved Russ and Aurora individually. Russ was the sweetest shy man I have ever read about and Aurora was so much fun and I saw so much of myself in Aurora which made me love her even more. This book tugged on so many of my heartstrings and although it was soft and low angst, it still made me very emotional at times. I have no idea how the author managed to create that perfect of a found family in such a short amount of time, but I hope we get more camp books in the future (give us a Xander book!!!) This book has my whole heart, I enjoyed it immensly.

Thank you #netgalley and the author for providing me with an arc in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own!
