5 whole stars for this book! I had not read anything by this author before but this book was a winner! It had me hooked from the first page and I did not want to do anything but read! You will be glad you got this one!
This book was amazing. I liked the story line and everything kept my attention through out the story. I would recommend the author and book!
Slow-burn psychological thrillers are always 50/50 for me. I did enjoy the book overall because of the twists and turns, but there was A LOT going on especially with the multiple POVs and timelines. It was a little chaotic and over-the-top mostly but still a decent read.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy in exchange for an honest review.
OMG I swear I never saw this amount of gaslighting! This was a weirdly captivating read, but satisfying!!
A twisty and compelling read and I liked that the plot is shown from multiple narrators. I read it in one evening and couldn't put it down.
A bit silly and ironic that I read this up to the release of Taylor Swift's Tortured Poet's Department. Strong female characters giving us a curveball and sweet poetic justice.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of The Prenup by Arianne Richmonde in exchange for my honest review and opinion. This was an absolutely amazing read with SO many twists and turns throughout the entire book. I seriously thought I had it figured out multiple times and then another huge twist comes up and makes you doubt everything. That ending - WOW! Do yourself a big favor and read this the first opportunity you have.
"The Prenup" by Arianne Richmonde is a contemporary romance novel that delves into the complexities of love, legal bindings, and the unexpected paths relationships can take. Richmonde offers readers a storyline that is both engaging and reflective, centered around the concept of a prenuptial agreement and its impact on a budding relationship. The narrative is crafted to explore themes of trust, vulnerability, and the negotiation between personal desires and practical considerations in love.
Richmonde's writing style is fluid and accessible, making "The Prenup" an easy read for fans of the romance genre. The author successfully creates a dynamic between the protagonists that is charged with tension, humor, and a palpable sense of attraction. This dynamic serves as the core of the novel, driving the story forward and keeping readers invested in the outcome of the relationship.
Character development in "The Prenup" is a mix of depth and surface-level traits. The main characters are given enough background and personality to make them relatable and interesting. However, some readers might find that the supporting characters lack the same level of depth, occasionally feeling more like stereotypes than fully fleshed-out individuals. This can lead to predictability in certain plot points, where character actions and outcomes feel guided by genre conventions rather than organic character growth.
The plot of "The Prenup" is structured around the unfolding drama of the prenuptial agreement, with twists and obstacles that challenge the couple's understanding of each other and what they want from their relationship. While the premise is intriguing and offers a modern take on romance, some elements of the plot may come across as formulaic to seasoned readers of the genre. The reliance on misunderstandings and external conflicts to drive the narrative might not appeal to those looking for more nuanced explorations of relationships.
One of the strengths of the novel is its ability to provoke thought about the nature of love and the practicalities that can intrude upon romantic ideals. Richmonde touches on important aspects of legal and financial independence within a relationship, presenting these themes in a way that is both entertaining and enlightening. However, the resolution of these themes might feel too convenient for some readers, with the novel's conclusion offering a traditional happy ending that may not fully reconcile the complexities introduced earlier in the story.
In conclusion, "The Prenup" by Arianne Richmonde is a contemporary romance that offers an engaging exploration of the intersection between love and legal agreements. While the novel presents an entertaining story with relatable themes, its reliance on genre tropes and the lack of depth in supporting characters may not satisfy all readers. Nonetheless, fans of romantic fiction looking for a light read with a blend of humor, tension, and heartfelt moments may find "The Prenup" to be an enjoyable addition to their reading list.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for an advanced copy to review for my honest opinion.

Next!
Oh I DID NOT see the ending coming!! This was a fast-paced book is all about secrets, emotions, family drama. I really enjoyed the story and the plot was so nicely done.
This was a great read. The writer skilfully weaves tension and despair, so much so I raced through it. The ending was something else!
Ava and Lucas married because they were expecting a baby. Unfortunately, they lost the baby. This is the back story. It isn’t about pregnancy loss. Lucas and his parents made Ava sign a very one sided prenup. Ava didn’t care about money. She and Lucas were in love. Lucas treated her like a queen. But now, three years later, the shine has worn off. Ava is pregnant again. Lucas doesn’t shower her with attention and gifts any longer. And, deep down, Ava wonders if he is cheating. Ava hears that a neighbor saw Lucas having a cozy dinner with the well know actor Claudia Spector. Now Claudia is missing and it seems the last person to be seen with her was Lucas. With Lucas begging her to provide an alibi for him, Ava holds all the cards. She gets the prenup rewritten in her favor. I’m not giving away the ending but I never saw it coming. The Prenup is well written and twisty all the way to the ending. A must read psychological thriller.
Great cover !. I have come across this author before and this book certainly did not disappoint. .The ending in this book made the book. It had me from the very first page.
Well that's an ending I didn't see coming! This is such a lacy thriller that kept me turning the pages. I will definitely read more by this author.
Sam Hayes is a brilliant author and every book is fantastic. This has been no different. I have loved this book from beginning to end and have devoured this in just one sitting.
After the death of Ray, the Hunter family come together and this is where we start to see this unfold. I have adored seeing secrets unravel.
This is full of layers with secrets, grief and heartache unfolding. I have felt as though I have been watching the events unfold in front of me.
This is tense and suspenseful in all the right places. I have been gripped to this one and desperately wanting to see how it would play out.
This is a very dysfunctional family and one I’ve loved meeting. This is a group you cannot predict.
I’ve read all of Sam’s books and this is a favourite. I have loved every moment of reading this gem.
I highly recommend this book.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC. I"m finally catching up on reviews and this is one you don't want to miss. It keeps you hooked right away and takes you for a ride. I love when I don't see the ending coming and it just smacks you in the face. Highly recommend!
What a read! This book was brilliant, it keeps you hooked from the very first page. A psychological thriller with a twist you don't see coming.
I have mixed feelings about The Prenup, a new psych thriller by Arianne Richmond. On the one hand, it is an interesting look at a relationship dynamic most people never have to consider.
On the other hand, the relating of the actual events often comes across as muddled and uneven. I still can’t decide whether or not that is purposeful to go along with Ava’s state of mind.
Frankly, we don’t get much of a backstory for her, only in little bits, so it is sometimes difficult to tell why she is the way she is…and why she does what she does.
There are parts in the first third of the book where she appears to be an absolute mess. That made it difficult for me to root for her or even relate to her. She almost seemed too pathetic to care about.
There is a point, though, (not giving it away) when it becomes apparent there is another layer to what is going on – and then the pieces start to fall into place.
I liked it when all of the points of view started to converge, and we got to find out more about that other layer. However, I wish that the author had kicked it up one notch.
The threads were there to turn it into a gleeful revenge against the villain character story, but it never quite got there. Likewise, I thought that the author was going to go in a certain direction with Ava, but unless I missed it, that never really materialized either.
At any rate, The Prenup still was a good psych thriller. I just think it could have gone to another level and been even better. I’ll still be looking for the next story from Arianne Richmond.
Wow. Just wow. What a great book of suspense that keeps twisting and turning, and then you just keeping discovering something new around the corner. 4 stars because there were parts that kind of lagged, but definitely a great, suspenseful read!!
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC.
