I gaze at my new husband and smile. It's our wedding day and I feel like the luckiest woman alive. Lucas is perfect. He brings me coffee in the morning, flowers in the evening, and never leaves the room without a kiss. So I try to ignore the niggling doubt in the back of my mind about the prenup he made me sign. Does he think I'm a gold digger? I reassure myself that it doesn't matter, because I know we'll be together forever....
The twists kept coming in this domestic thriller. There's so much going on in this book and it's told from multiple points of view. It did take me a little while to get into this book as the pace seemed very slow at first. Three years after Ava married Lucas, things have changed. Strange occurrences take pace and Ava thinks Lucas is cheating on her. Lucas is a lawyer, liar and gaslighter. I was a little intrigued by Ava's story. I didn't care for any of the characters. The timeline jumped around a b it too much for my liking. It was also quite repetitive.
I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #AriannaRicjmonde for my ARC of #ThePrenup in exchange for an honest review.
The story is told from the perspective of Ava, Claudia and Minnie. As it unfolds your given the different sides of each character and it’s interesting how it all comes together. Well developed characters that are likeable enough. The plot moves at a steady pace and it’s very cleverly written as it moves from character to character along with how the story unfolds. I did have some parts of the plot figured out but that didn’t stop the surprises that came about. Gripping, twisty read that will keep you turning the pages.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read and review #ThePreNup
When Ava married Lucas, she signed a pre-nup. This would protect his inheritance. As she was madly in love, she readily agreed. Ava felt Lucas was as committed to her as she was to him but a few doubts soon began weaving in. Suspicions grew. More than that, Ava was the victim of gaslighting. This continual process by Lucas was further complicated by the fact that Ava was now pregnant.
Discovering the fact that Lucas is having an affair, Ava struggles with her desire to leave him. With no job and a baby on the way, knowing she will be left with nothing plagues Ava. Can she create a plan to balance the tables?
Lucas’s deceit knew no bounds and with the twists and turns in this story as Ava struggled to change things kept me riveted page after page. In some ways this book by Arianne Richmonde reminded me of the movie Gaslight with Charles Boyer and Ingrid Bergman. So much, in fact, that I rewatched the classic thriller immediately upon completing this book. I loved comparing this thrilling book to the movie and I will say that I was thoroughly entertained.
Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.
What a gripping, twist filled, shocking book that kept me on my toes and turning the pages!!! Arianne Richmonde kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat the entire book. Just when I thought I knew where things were going, she turned the tables on me with twist after exciting twist!
This was a wild ride after about 50% of the book. To be honest, the first 50% drug on a bit. It was a bit repetitive with constantly mentioning how Ava was a scorned wife and Lucas was a charming manipulator.
The second half of the book saved the book for me. It was super twisty and enjoyable. It seemed to move a lot quicker, but Ava’s inner thoughts were still a bit annoying. With that said, hearing the perspectives of Claudia and Minnie were enjoyable and made it much more interesting.
I would recommend this book and would read another book by this author.
My second read from this Author and wow it did not disappoint! Loads of twists and turns. First part of the book told from the main Protagonists POV, then second half goes back and forth between main protagonist and two other women involved. Really good and interesting psychological thriller, I loved the ending.
Thank you to Netgalley, Bookouture and the Author, Arianne Richmonde for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a book that makes you feel a loss when you reach the end. I just wanted to keep reading. A real page turner with mysteries you can not guess (and believe me I tried). It is fast paced and should be placed on everyones to be read shelf
The Pre-Nup is a gripping and compelling domestic thriller that once I started reading I couldn’t put down . Truthfully I did find the first few chapters a bit slow but regardless of that it still completely kept my interest and I knew it was going to get a lot more dramatic as the story progressed. And of course it did just that and I couldn’t turn the pages quickly enough to find out the answers . The epilogue in my opinion was excellent and I know this is one book I won’t forget in a hurry. 4⭐️

This has been another brilliant read from @bookouture Their tours are so good
First, I want to thank Arianne Richmonde, Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.
OMG!!!! Arianne Richmond totally blew my mind with her wickedly evil climatic ending that left me speechless in The Prenup! With each book that Arianne writes she gets better and better. Having been a fan of hers for a while I can say this is my favorite of all. It has bestseller written all over it!
Arianne once again reminded how shady men can be and that it is not that bad being single! Oh how I don’t miss being gaslit, lied to, betrayed, repeatedly cheated on, etc. YES, the more I learned about Lucus and his father the more I despised them both.
Shockingly and to my great surprise Claudia is the character I felt the most connection with. She had a lot of great deep insight about her own sexuality that really hit home for me.
The Prenup is broken up into parts where we learn there is more than one side of the story. In the beginning Ava and Lucus shares their story with us. Ohh but it isn’t til the end where Arianne flips the switch and we learn the whole truth from Claudia! Ohh I was speechless at how wickedly good this plot twist was!
Arianne The Prenup is incredibly fast paced that is so intense that I devoured it in one sitting! You should definitely add this to your TBR read as it is a must read!
This book kept me hook since I picked it up. The only thing I would change was to stop repeating the story line so much on the different points of view. It got quite repetitive & the Timelapse’s created confusion at times. But overall a very good read.
What a twisted, suspenseful read! This is one of those few books where I was gutted when I had finished, but couldn't help but race through it in a day. Arianne Richmonde is an under-rated master of her trade and never fails to deliver! Highly recommend!
Lucas Fox is a handsome and wealthy attorney who works with his father in their successful law firm. Lucas is married to Ava who used to work as a script supervisor in film making. They live in Malibu and are familiar with the Hollywood crowd. Now, Ava is thrilled to find that she is pregnant. Their marriage started out well until Ava realized that Lucas was lying to her and gaslighting her. Although she signed a prenup before they got married, she doesn’t care, she just wants out of the marriage. But Lucas won’t let her go and wants them to stay together.
Then a well known actress goes missing and she was last seen with Lucas! Could he be involved?
This is a crafty book filled with some evil characters. I enjoyed learning more about the work involved in setting the stage for making a movie. My favorite characters are the couple’s two gorgeous golden retrievers - my favorite dog breed. The descriptions in this book are really well written. The ending is spot-on. Any more clues and I would be giving out spoilers. Intriguing and compelling. Enjoy.

So. Much. Fun. Such a compelling story told through the eyes of three women. We see the situation from all three sides and put it all together for a satisfying ending. Some might call it poetic justice.

This was an amazing book , we already had the pre-nup set up at the beginning of the book i so was wondering where it would go next . It was full of twists and turns with brilliant characters . I love the LA setting and the beach house in Malibu . I’ve read a few books from this author and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint. I would highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next . 5 stars from me .
Hold on. Let me breathe. Let me. Wow! The ending. The plot twist. Why is everyone in this book fighting hard to prove that they are so villains and heartless 🥹
I kept on guessing and crafting my hypothesis. But none of them are correct. The ending makes my mind-blowing. This book just proved to me that, man, you should never make a mess with us. You just don’t know how far we can go. And you certainly don’t want to know that.
But I hate Ava’s parents-in-law. For real. They just make me want to slap them right in the face. They keep saving their son's ass for every wrongdoing he did. All that because they feel like their son had provided the world to the wife. Man! That’s not how you treated your wife!!!!!! (I am screaming right now)
Good job @arianne_richmondeauthor I am delighted to rate this book nothing less than 4.5/5.
Please leave me a moment. I am still shocked by the plot twist & how this story ends. The girls are just badass!
A thrilling, suspenseful and completely addictive rollercoaster of a read. I was riveted. Once I started I couldn't stop. This book is outstanding. Truly, wonderfully transporting. I very highly recommend this one.
I found the writing of this one confusing for some time. I wasn’t sure if I was reading about the past, early in the relationship, or the present. The timelines were getting mixed in my mind and it took a while to really get the gaslighting and controlling feel. I found a lot of the story said he was a bad guy, but never really showed it.
Loved this book so much. It had me on edge pretty much the entire time. Those first few chapters grab your interest right away. Then just when you get comfortable, the plot twist just comes right away. I have been into domestic psychological thrillers for a while and this is definitely in my top 5. I will be posting this on my page at the end of the week. I know my followers are going to enjoy it as much as I did.
I will say this, I was SHOOKETH!!!!!!!!!!!! This book was addicting, I read this book every morning on my way to work and I wanted the ride there to take longer because this book was too good too put down. We have Ava, who is married to this amazing man named Lucas, pretty much he swept her away, but 3 years into their marriage he isn’t what he seems, but the good thing about Ava is that we can’t ever underestimate. She knows she signed a prenup that leaves her nothing if she walks away, shes dealing with infidelity, gaslighting, manipulation, she’s dealing with the works!!!! And the role Karma plays in this book is crazy!!!!! Can’t give it away because it’s worth the read, the twists and turns left me pretty dizzy and the surprise in the end???? YASSSSSSS!!!!
