Whoa. Nicely done. There is a surprisingly nice foundation and buildup before all of the couples find their way to each other, with just the right amount of questioning and angst before they decide to go all in. I would pick this one up again if I were looking for a spicy read.

I’m not really sure what else to say besides 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵.

This story was really unique, and while I’ve decided it’s not fully my thing, I can appreciate it for what it is. I loved the way that it approached queer awakening later in life, and appreciated that the story showed spouses talking and listening and tackling hard subjects TOGETHER.

I was given an ARC by NetGalley and XPresao Book Tours. All Opinions are my own.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited when I heard about the premise of this book, but I was a bit disappointed after reading it.

The build up takes a little too long, and I just wish they’d gotten it sooner. On the other hand, Race’s queer awakening was too abrupt, too quick, and I wish it had been developed a little more.

I went into this book thinking expecting too much, maybe. I was a little put off by Bed’s constant questioning of they were doing. I think it’d be okay for it to happen when things start, but it repeated far too much, and even in the end she was still questioning it. There was no learning, no character arc.

The story continues in book #2, but I’m not sure it needed a second book. I’d have liked to see a better conclusion in this one.

Soooo hot! I have read many stories when a wife is shared by her husband and his friend, but this was my first bi-swingers story and I loved every second of it! WHile the spice is top tier, I loved the banter between all members of the two couples and how they are all best friends underneath. Aside from all of the steam and humor, I really liked houw Blythe described how their lives changed after the trip. Even though this is just the first book in the series, it was nice to see that what happened on the trip fundamentally changed these couples adn their dynamics.

This book was wrote incredibly well, it was easy to follow, quick paced and did everything it said it would. I do feel the end was a bit rushed and we didn’t get to see much of the ending of the vacation and how tense that could have been for the four of them leaving. However I enjoyed the actual ending and seeing them work things out.

There was not much plot other than exploring sexuality which is fine but I prefer a little more than just intimate scenes between characters to get more sense of their personalities and pasts and thus creating a deeper connection. But the sex scenes themselves were detailed and emotion driven and were very enjoyable to read, I just wished they’d been backed by more non-sexual scenes between the couples.

The cover is lovely, I have absolutely zero complaints about that. It’s not discreet but it’s not in your face either which is the perfect balance. I would be interested in reading the rest of the books in this series and will be looking for other works by this author as the writing style was beautiful.

Thank you for the opportunity to read it!

SO SEXY and SO unexpected. I loved how the author touched on so many important topics such as polyamory, queerness, and relationships. It was a beautiful and thoughtful read.

This book is super spicy and a well developed novella read. You have two couples that decide to go on vacay with one another. The two women are best friends and so are the men. Things start to heat up during this kids free vacation. The women are both bi and there's a bi awakening for one of the husbands. Things get super steamy really fast, and really don't stop. There is a lot of love and support from each married couple to explore this other side of themselves. Expect a lot of love going into this one which I found sweet along with the spice. I couldn't get through this read fast enough and I can't wait for the next one in the series!

DROP everything now and read this steamy debut by author Gemma Blythe.

I feel that it's best to go in this one blind but be forwarned it is steamy, mfmf in all ways and is lots of fun! Anyone looking for a book to take them away from reality should look no further than Breaking Boundaries!!!

Okay - let’s talk about this book. Holy smokes, this book was the spice explosion that I didn’t know I needed in my life. I read this 174 page romp at the pool – thank god for the chilly chlorine water to cool me off while reading it. Basically, two (very happily married) couples go on a friend trip to the beach on a much-needed trip away from their kids. They are happily enjoying alone time as couples and quality time as friends, and well… let’s say some deep (or not-so-deep) buried sexuality impulses are explored in a safe, consensual way. Each characters’ bi-curiosity/bi-awakening was handled super well and in a relatable way. My only gripe is that I have to wait for the next 3 books!!

Thank you Netgalley & Tangled Hearts for the advanced review copy, and to my friends who let me slide into their DMs to shout about this book! It’s available now!

Long-time BFFs Rebecca (Bex) and Darcy (plus their husbands) finally get a week away from the kids for a much needed vacation. Darcy has had a secret crush on her BFF for longer than she'd care to admit, and when Bex and her husband hear Darcy & hubs going at it through thin walls in their rented cottage, things start to heat up.

I loved this steamy double couple vacation. I loved the awkwardness of realizing feelings, putting out feelers to see if those feelings are reciprocated, and the respect these four had for each other and their marriages. Of course, I read it for the steam (very hot!), but I am also all about respect and consent for all parties involved, too, and this book does a really great job with both.

[Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!]

Breaking Boundaries was a quick, hot read. It's challenging to connect with multiple characters in-depth and follow more than one romantic arc but Gemma Blythe weaves a steamy tale of four friends exploring more. Set your conventional expectations aside and enjoy this sexy story.

This book teased with the promise of more but it didn’t deliver. Much of it is happening between the actual couple before everything starts to unfold. It includes FF, MF, and MM scenes but at the end, you’re still left with a cliffhanger and the question ”Is that it?”. The story continues in a second book but I’m not interested because I feel like it would be better to be wrapped up in one.

I was excited about this read because the description was right up my alley—friends who go on vacation together and become more than friends.

Although this did what it said it would do - the build-up needed to be shorter. There were way too many chapters of Will They or Won't the.

The husband changed his sexuality within a couple of chapters not sure if that needed to happen like that - it just felt abrupt.

Since the book was so long - the amount of sex that happened before the main event was a bit much for me. I just wanted the teasing to stop and for the book to have more scenes of the group together.

A good book. All in all

I really enjoyed this and I especially like how well these couples communicate with each other

Best friends since college, Bex and Darcy, along with their husbands are taking a kid-free getaway. It's their chance to catch up with one another and relax.

What they never expected was that the walls of the rental would be so thin. When they head to bed Bex and Rafe are able to hear what their friends are up to. She also didn't expect how hot it would be to hear Darcy and Alec.

She confesses to her husband that she has a crush on Darcy. He isn't opposed to the idea. She's noticed that his gaze keeps traveling over to Alec.

Darcy and Alec are looking their way too.

Who will make the first move?

Thank you so much to the author, NetGalley and Xpresso Tours for this ARC to review.

Holy hell this was a steamy book. All the fire emojis. This book was exactly what I thought it would be and delivered what was promised.

Breaking Boundaries is a hot, sweet treat to tuck into your Kindle this summer.

Long-time couple Bex and Rafe shed the kids and the responsibilities for a beach vacation with friends Darcy and Alec. It isn’t long before they discover the walls at their rental are thin…and their rationalizations about not being attracted to their friends are getting even thinner. Is this…really gonna happen?! Buckle up, buckle in, let the games begin!

Blythe brings tension, spice, safety, and consent to this story of couples rediscovering themselves — and each other — at an age when our individual and couple identities can get buried under kids, jobs, and the exhaustion of life refusing to stop coming at us full force. I love what she’s done with her exploration of sexual identity for characters in their thirties, her gentle handling of consensual non-monogamy (both the triumphs and the pitfalls), and the way both friendship and romantic love are honoured and uplifted. Her ear for realistic, emotional exchanges within couples is spot on, and her prose is clean and crisp like the cold beverage of your choice sipped on a lounge chair on a July day.

Sexy, sweet, emotional, exploratory- there aren't enough good words for this book!

The author navigates poly curiosity with care and consideration, but damn is it still SEXY. If you want a sex-forward beach read, look no further.

Bex and Rafe have a marriage that feels so viscerally real, and contrasts Alec and Darcy who have their own totally unique but relatable dynamic. It was so easy to connect with their characters and. loved seeing all the sex AND conversations on page.

Cannot wait to read the rest of the series and novellas as they drop!

This was WILD. I’m not sure what I was expecting when I started reading, but it wasn’t what I pictured. I really had a good time reading this! It was a lot of fun and super spicy. It was also a quick read which is always great.

I could appreciate Rafe discovering his sexuality throughout the book. Him discovering/acknowledging he’s queer to his wife and friends, and them not making it a big deal out of it (they are, too) was sweet to read.

While reading, I really wished it was dual POV so I could see Darcy’s side and not just Bex’s. I would’ve really enjoyed getting a peak into her and Alec’s side of the wall and how they were feeling. I’m glad a sequel’s coming so we get Darcy’s POV. I’m excited to read that when it comes out!

Two married couples who have been longtime friends finally have a chance to get away for a childless vacation down end south Texas at the beach. These couples still have desires that get to explore without the fear of what if the children hear. While exploring these various moments of adult fun the realization comes that the walls in the place, they are vacation are a little thin. Hearing various noises leads to "What do you think they are doing?" moments which leads to some new interactions with these longtime friends both straight and Bi interactions. This book is a steamy hot book right from the start and stays that way throughout the book. I would need another vacation after the vacation with this group after all the action that takes place. This a good read

Healthy depiction of consensual non monogamy, accurate feelings of self doubt about bisexuality, hot as fuck sex and characters that I fell in love with. I devoured this book in one night because I couldn't put it down.
