After her father’s death, Lizzie slid into substance abuse and despair, but five years on, she’s sober. To celebrate, her mother, Claire is taking Lizzie and her brother to the country to meet Claire’s new husband, George. The gathering is in the middle of nowhere, with no cell service and then Lizzie’s father, presumed to have been dead all these years, makes a reappearance, and he’s very much alive. This is an enjoyable domestic thriller with mild suspense and an entertaining plot

Thank you netgalley for this arc.
Unfortunately I didn’t like this book at all. From the get go I feel like the plot was weird and it went downhill from there. Maybe you’ll like it more than I did.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
This one took a bit for me to get into and put together the story lines. I expected the narrator to be the mother and not the daughter from the description listed. That confused me a bit.
Good book though and kept me wondering with the surprises.
Narrator did a good job.
