First off the title gave me a good laugh so I figured there would be some humor used throughout the book, unfortunately it made it feel like more of a jab at mental health more than anything.
An enjoyable read, written by a gorgeous author. (She says so, and I believe her!) Did I learn anything? Not really, but the approach made me smile, so that's a win-win in my book.
A wonderful book. Highly recommended. You will enjoy reading it. Written in a very engaging prose. Nowhere would you feel being stuck or bored. Pick it up if you get a chance. Thanks to the author for a review copy.
I didn't enjoy this book. I actually found it very annoying.
It was very repetitive in its format - but not in a comforting routine-based way - it just felt boring.
The journal prompt questions were very random and i'm not overly sure what I should be getting out of them, or the book as a whole.
Not for me!
I couldn't tell if this book was for real or what. It says it's for people who are tired of advice from insta-fluencers and tiktok-ers, and yet it's written in that exact kind of don't-you-wish-you-were-me tone. The worksheets seemed in earnest, but then the examples made fun of it all. Maybe it's meant for the waiting room of a therapist's office to lighten the mood. It was really strange. Every time I try it again, I come away shaking my head like wtf.
I was really hopeful this book was going to be a hit. As a counselor, it is good to laugh a bit and poke fun at the profession on occasion. However, I did not love this book. The humor was very sophomoric and silly. Just bored me all the way around. Disappointing as the premise for this book was original & creative.
