This was a decent shifter romance. Lovers of the trope will definitely be a fan!

For me - I personally enjoy really strong female leads in my stories. This was not found here in my opinion. The whole storyline with her ex fiancé cheating with the best friend also was a huge cliche ick for me. I also didn't really find anything unique about this shifter romance that sets it apart from others in the genre, aside from having a curvy female lead.

I did love that the pace was a bit quicker - the fast pace saved it for me. This would definitely be a enjoyable read for those needing a break after a more intense lengthy fantasy read!

Steele is a great read, has a great story. Some heat and all around great book. Characters were excellent and loved getting to know them

Mila has been planning her wedding and a couple of days before, she and her best friend arrive at the destination, Yellowstone Park. She goes hunting for her fiance and finds him having sex with her best friend. She takes off and runs into the woods. Wandering around she becomes lost and then meets up with a bear. The bear swipes at her and she runs.
Steele, A wolf shifter, is Alpha of the Moonstone Pack and is starting to get pressure from his mother to find a mate. Another pack is trying to encroach on their territory and is sneaking around. While checking the perimeter of the territory, Steele comes upon Mila being attacked by the bear. He runs the bear off and goes looking for Mila. She's lost a lot of blood and Steele carries her out of the woods and takes her to be checked out.
When Steele realizes Mila is his fated mate, he wants to protect her and get to know her. But when the other pack finds out she's his fated mate, they kidnap her and rough her up. Steele will take down this Alpha and get his mate back.

Great story. Action. Shifters. A wolf shifter mating with a human.

Loved this book! Steele is a sexy alpha shifter who stumbles across Mila, a human, and is immediately smitten. She seems to hear his thoughts, but that shouldn't be possible. With an encroaching, and violent pack trying to take over Steele's territory, things become complicated very quickly.

I loved the characters - they were very likable and I found myself invested in their story and wanting them to get a HEA ending.

While this author is new to me, I am looking forward to reading more of her books. This novel is out just in time for summer reading - put it at the top of your TBR list and enjoy - it's a perfect vacation escape.

I enjoyed reading this book! The author's writing style was engaging and I thought the characters were well developed.

"Steele" is definitely a fast-paced read packed with drama, betrayal, rivaling packs and a swoon-worthy Alpha who's main objective is to protect both his pack and newly found mate.

I will definitely be reading book two when it's released and I think this book should be on your TBR if you enjoy reading shifter romances!
