I thoroughly enjoyed this book of 3 novellas by favorite authors I follow.
All three stories are unique and intriguing, and the characters are familiar and likeable.
I have read previous books by all three authors, and I was delighted to continue reading stories about each.
Most outstanding to me is Liz Ireland's Mrs. Claus mysteries. Imagine being transported to Santaland, where magic happens (and murder)!!!

I highly recommend this light and cozy book, which will keep you entertained and surprise you at the end of each novella.

Thank you, Net Galley, and Kensington Cozies for allowing me to read this book and post a personal review.

This was a cool trio of St. Patrick’s Day themed mysteries from three fun series. I liked how the Irish milkshake theme was incorporated into each one, but a little different in each one. In the Christmastown offering that was third, Wobbler the reindeer was cracking me up! But he turned out not to be as big of a coward as he claimed. Now we know how elves and Santa’s people spend St. Paddy’s day! Along with two other fave cozy series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of his book, and my opinions are my own.

This is a wonderful collection of St. Patrick’s Day themed cozy mysteries. If you are new to any of the featured authors, this book is a fun way to sample their work for future reads. I found two new authors to check out!

I love Carlene O'Connor's writing and the Home to Ireland Mystery series and I am hopeful that a full story in this series is forthcoming.
I absolutely love the titles of Peggy Ehrhart's Knit & Nibble series, they always make me giggle. I wish that Peggy was a little less descriptive with her story telling; I don't need to know how Bettina takes her coffee and other small details.
This was the third story I have read in the Mrs. Claus series and the stories are whimsical and enchanting. I love that April comes from a normal city, fell in love with Santa, and moved to the North Pole. The elves are interesting and the different factions are representative of the way we treat each other.

Irish Milkshake Murder is an anthology by Carlene O'Connor, Peggy Ehrhart and Liz Ireland. While Carlene O’Connor is a favorite author of mine this is the first time I have read anything written by Peggy Ehrhart. So an anthology is a great way to read works by new authors while still enjoying favorites. All of these novellas take place around St. Patrick’s Day, with murder, and milkshake drinks of all things.

Irish Milkshake Murder by Carlene O'Connor deals with a murder that happens during a trip for bridesmaids and groomsmen to the Aran Islands before the wedding date. Intriguing with some surprises that make it a most enjoyable read.

In Murder Most Irish by Peggy Ehrhart takes place in Arborville, New Jersey. Another murder by drink cozy mystery. I would like to read more by this author now.

Mrs. Claus And The Luckless Leprechaun by Liz Ireland may be the reason this is released during the holidays. While it is not a Christmas story it does take place at the North Pole. An original idea to be sure, thinking about what elves do the rest of the winter. Well written but I was able to solve it before the main character. No matter it was a pleasure to escape to the North Pole other than when Christmas Eve is imminent.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have mentioned before that I am not really a fan of novellas as they don’t do much for the storyline and they’re too short to really get invested in. However, Carlene O’Connor’s series, Home to Ireland, seems to be done and this is the only place that the stories continue so I requested this one. The last novella advanced the storyline significantly and on the off chance that the series isn’t over, I wanted to make sure to be up-to-date. This story was well-plotted and I did figure out who the murderer was early on but I was enjoying the descriptions of the Aran Islands so I kept following along. I hope there will be more in this series.

The other two novellas, however, were not for me. I stopped reading the Knit and Nibble mysteries because they were so bogged down with descriptions of EVERYTHING that it really got to be tedious. The mystery itself could have been two pages but I guess I really needed to know how the characters take their coffee (mentioned no less than 3 times in this short story). All the details take away from the actual mystery because half the time I can’t remember what it is they are investigating: murder or what’s on sale at the CSA. As for the Santaland story, I found it better than the last two novels I read in the series but I just can’t get into the series. I find the whole setting, while creative and inviting, a little cheesy.

Irish Milkshake Murder is a collection of three St. Patrick's Day-themed mystery novellas. I really enjoy these collections and overall, I liked this one, too. The common theme is milkshakes, but the stories are all very different.

My favorite story of the three is Mrs. Claus and the Luckless Leprechaun by Liz Ireland. The full-length novels I've read in this series are delightful and this novella is just as good. Almost everyone in Santaland is excited to be celebrating St. Patrick's Day and the whole atmosphere is festive. Of course there is a murder and a rumor is started that the weapon was a poisoned milkshake, and it's up to Mrs. April Claus to find out the truth. If you've not yet tried this series, I highly recommend it. It's unique, humorous, and fun to read.

I also really liked Peggy Ehrhart's contribution to the collection, Murder Most Irish. This story is part of the Knit and NIbble series, which I first discovered through a novella in a different collection and became a big fan. The main characters, magazine editor Pamela Paterson and her best friend Bettina Fraser, look into the death of a man who appears to have been poisoned by his St. Patrick's Day milkshake. This time Pamela's work editing articles about fiber crafts may be helpful in solving the crime in this fun series. I'm not a knitter, but I still enjoy hearing about the projects Pamela and her knitting group are working on. Their friendship is also a plus in this series. These stories are well-written and relaxing to read.

The titular story of the collection by Carlene O'Connor, which is part of the Home to Ireland series, was disappointing. The atmosphere of a hen party/bachelorette party and its associated behavior and risque comments doesn't really fit with the cozy vibe of the other stories. I've read one of the full-length novels in this series and enjoyed it, but this story wasn't for me.

Although I was disappointed in one of the stories, I liked the Nibble and Knit and the Mrs. Claus stories so much that it was worth it to me to read this book just for these two stories, so I still would recommend the book.

I received an advance copy of this ebook from NetGalley and Kensington Books at no cost. My review is voluntary and unbiased.

Irish Milkshake Murder by Charlene O’Connor is part of the Home to Ireland mystery series. Tara Meehan and Danny O’Donnell are preparing for their wedding when Tara’s friend insists on a hen party. When the group go on a combined hen and stag party, nothing goes as planned and the night ends in murder.

This is the first book I have read in this series, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I really liked the characters of Tara and Breanna. I also enjoyed the end of the mystery and was surprised how it all came together. I look forward to starting this series from the beginning and getting to know Tara from the start.

Murder Most Irish by Peggy Ehrhart is part of the Knot & Nibble Mystery series. Pamela and Bettina are having lunch in their favorite restaurant when an unexplained death occurs. When it turns out to be murder, the duo are on the case, digging until they have uncovered the killer.

I have always loved this series and the characters of Pamela and Bettina and enjoyed visiting them again. This was a good short story and has me wanting to visit again!

Mrs. Claus and the Luckless Leprechaun is part of the Mrs. Claus mystery series. April Claus is pulled into a murder investigation when a famous ice ball player turns up dead.

This is the first book o have read in this series and I have to say, this series isn’t for me. April Claus is a good character, but I can’t get over the fact that everyone in the book are elves and I’ve elf names that confused me so much. This was a quick read and well written, but the premise in this book just isn’t for me.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book!

This is a fun collection of Saint Patrick’s Day themed cozies. The stories make good additions to their respective series.

Mine:
This collection of three novellas take place around St Patrick’s Day. I appreciate that Ms. O’Connor gets three authors together to write stories based on a specific theme. The authors did a wonderful job with the topic of milkshakes. I am looking forward to next issue which I believe has to do with Easter baskets.
The three stories are: Irish Milkshake Murder by Carlene O'Connor; Murder Most Irish by Peggy Ehrhart; and Mrs. Claus And The Luckless Leprechaun.

Irish Milkshake Murder by Carlene O'Connor starts by letting us know Tara Meehan and Danny O'Donnell, are set to be married on St. Patrick's Day. They are on their way to a hen & stag party on Inishmore island, one of the Aran Islands. On the boat over, a dancer is murdered.
Tara sets out to find out who did it.

In Murder Most Irish by Peggy Ehrhart a customer at Hyler's diner dies after drinking a green milkshake. Bettina Fraser and her partner-in-crime, Pamela Paterson work together to solve the crime since they were present when the man died and found some clues. Their quick action prevented the evidence from being destroyed. I figured out the culprit before our duo but it did not detract from my enjoyment of the story. The author, in my opinion, could have spent less time on china pattern descriptions since this was a short story.

The third story is Mrs. Claus And The Luckless Leprechaun was about iceball. The star is injured and the team has brought in rogue elves to play. A murder occurs and April and her friends are trying to solve the murders. I also figured this one out prior to April. I enjoyed the story none the less. This was my favorite story of the three.

I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and am not required to leave a positive review

I am enjoying this series of short story novellas that center on a shared theme, previously a Christmas scarf, and this time, an Irish milkshake. Each auther gets to define what the Irish milkshake is made up of and how it figures into the murder mystery. Peggy Ehrhart and her character Pamela are fast becoming favorites, and so her story was my favorite. Carlene O'Connor's story was the most rollicking of the three, with murder at an isolated hen party in Ireland, with boozy milkshakes and Irish dancers. I had recently read a full length novel by Liz Ireland that I enjoyed a lot, so I was delighted to meet Mrs. Claus and other residents of Santaland in this short story. The elves are fascinated by yet another holiday that April has told them about, St. Patrick's Day. I enjoyed the premise of seeing what trouble the elves and Santa and everyone else gets into after the Christmas holiday is over. Fun book to be published late in December, and three great authors. I can't wait for the next themed mystery.

Irish Milkshakes never seemed so deadly until I read this book. *Winky face. This book was fun to read and also a good sampler for two authors I hadn't heard of before. Now I definitely be on the lookout for their books.

A trio of St Paddy's Day stories to get you in a festive mood.

I always enjoy these compilations. It gives me a chance to try out new stories and get an extra content from some old faves.

IRISH MILKSHAKE MURDER by CARLENE O’CONNOR
Plot: Tara Meehan and Danny O’Donnell's combined hen and stag do just turned deadly.
A boat with an unorthodox driver, a frenemy from the past, antagonistic Irish dancing twins, stormy waters and killer boozy milkshakes all add to make this the ride of their lives.
But when one of the twins is murdered and both the body and the boat disappear - did a crime even happen.
Review: this was a wild ride, the plot raced along like a dream sequence and you really had no idea what was happening until all was revealed.

MURDER MOST IRISH by PEGGY EHRHART
Plot: In the case of another deadly milkshake, Pamela Paterson and Bettina Fraser, are glad they didn't opt for the St Patrick's Day special when a fellow patron drops dead mid-drink. But was it an accident? Pamela and Bettina intend to find out.
Review: A more sedated story, but an amusing read and a well plotted plot.

MRS. CLAUS AND THE LUCKLESS LEPRECHAUN by LIZ IRELAND
Plot: Santaland is embracing St Patrick's Day in this new holiday story.
But when an elf is attacked at the local iceball match, April Claus is determined to make sure the right elf is held accountable.
Review: This is a nice flow on from the last Mrs Claus novel, giving us more chance to get to know new Santaland resident, her friend Claire as well as quirky elf Butterbean.
I enjoyed that it also focused on what the elves did when it wasn't near Christmas, and iceball again tied into earlier stories.

I love these novella collections. This one features stories by Carlene O'Connor, Peggy Ehrhart, & Liz Ireland. They are a great way to sample authors you haven't read before or to get an extra story from a series!

The mysteries in Irish Milkshake Murder all take place around St. Patrick's Day. The first one is Irish Milkshake Murder by Carlene O'Connor. Tara and Danny are set to be married on St. Patrick's Day. Breanna has planned a hen party despite Tara not wanting one. She has also inexplicably invited Rachel whom Tara hasn't seen in years. For a combined hen and stag party they are off to the Aran Islands. During the ferry ride over milkshakes are consumed and one of the dancers that hitched a ride is murdered.

This was wild and fun. I laughed out loud several times. There is a big storm so it felt very cozy and perfect for Winter. The mystery was very satisfying and my favorite out of the three.

In Murder Most Irish by Peggy Ehrhart a customer at Hyler's diner dies after drinking an electric green milkshake. The victim is the husband of a local college professor and it seems there is no motive for killing him. This novella felt very cozy and I loved all of the food talk. I didn't connect to the main characters that well though and the mystery was the least satisfying of the three, especially how it was solved. I might have enjoyed it more if I had read any of the series before.

Last but not least is Mrs. Claus And The Luckless Leprechaun. St. Patrick's Day is coming to Santaland and iceball fever has struck. The Twinklers are hoping to finally win despite their best player, Crumble, being hurt. When Crumble is found on the ice with a milkshake nearby April has another mystery to solve.

It was nice catching up with favorite characters and meeting new ones like Wobbler the reindeer. There is always humor and magic in this series. The story was over before I knew it. It seemed to solve itself but the overall story is, as always, great.

Irish Milkshake Murder might not be a Christmas book but I think it still makes a perfect Winter read. Thank you to Netgalley for the chance to read. It will be released December 26.

Three cozy novellas where there's trouble after drinking- wait for it- a milkshake! Set in Galway Ireland, New Jersey, and (my favorite) the North Pole. all three feature fan favorite cozy heroines. If you aren't familiar with them, this will make a good introduction (although admittedly April Claus might baffle those who don't know her). Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. Perfect to read one at a time.

Usually I really enjoy books published by Kensington, but this one was a a bit of a disappointment.

The first story, Irish Milkshake Murder by Carlene O’Connor was completely baffling to me. After a miserable experience with a murder among the group and downpours that don't let up, instead of being out-of-sorts and subdued, some of the characters wanted to continue with a pre-wedding hen and bachelor part y complete with a penis cake. Who would do that? There was humor at times when it didn't seem to be appropriate.

The second, Murder Most Irish by Peggy Ehrhart kept going on about coffee brewed through a cone filter with freshly ground coffee. I get it already--the author is thrilled with this way of making coffee, but do we really have to read about it over and over again? Other things were handled the same way--move on already! . The story kind of dragged throughout.

The last one, Mrs. Claus and the Luckless Leprechaun by Liz Ireland, was my favorite. I've read several of this series with Mrs. Claus as the main character, and have enjoyed every one of them.

I love the idea of these collections because they are a great chance to sample new authors and reunite with favorite characters.

The first story I didn’t finish because I didn’t like the bachelorette party ambience. The content wasn’t appealing to me.

The second was fun. I enjoy Knit and Knibble and the short stories have fewer unnecessary details than the longer books tend to have. I always find this series cozy and relaxing. The mystery was a bit obvious but still fun.

Of course I loved the Mrs. Claus story. I’m so glad Liz Ireland is being featured in these collections because her writing is so fun to read. The conclusion of this one was particularly thrilling!

Irish Milkshake Murder, a compendium of novellas by Carlene O’Connor, Peggy Ehrhart, and Liz Ireland obviously contains an Irish milkshake in each. The first, Irish Milkshake Murder by Carlene O’Connor didn’t love up to my opinion of the author. It was a confused muddle kind of about a pre-wedding hen and bachelor part for Tara and Danny, but the two of them never seemed like a couple and the whole thing was disjointed and erratic. I was disappointed. The second, Murder Most Irish by Peggy Ehrhart was the best of the three and featured best friends, Betina and Pamela, who investigated a murder that happened right in front of them while they were eating lunch at the pub. It was much more cohesive and, dare I say it, realistic. It all happened while sheep were being herded down the main street, past the pub. The last was Mrs. Claus and the Luckless Leprechaun by Liz Ireland, which was, as the title says, about the North Pole. It was more a fantasy than a mystery and I didn’t really.care for it.

I am not sure if it was me failing to connect or the stories themselves. I didn’t really enjoy the read and I am usually up for a cozy mystery or a “Christmas” story. I cannot recommend this book. Sorry.

I was invited to read Irish Milkshake Murder by Kensington Books, through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #KensingtonBooks #CarleneOConnor #PeggyEhrhart #LizIreland #IrishMilkshakeMurder

I enjoy these three novella books. I’ve found some new authors and have been able to find my favorites. Each novella is just long enough.

Three separate stories that take the reader from Ireland to New Jersey and on to the North Pole. The first one, Irish Milkshake Murder had characters and a plot that held my interest. The second, Murder Most Irish, in an attempt to be different - - was just so-so and the third Mrs. Claus and the Luckless Leprechaun featuring elves, a sheep parade and an ice cream shop called the Santaland Scoop was just a little to “cutesy” for my taste.

Overall, not one of my favorites.
