Thank you NetGalley and Bloom Books for this arc!
I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! This is my first cowboy romance and I could not put it down! The dynamic of the characters was really nice and I loved seeing their growth.
The banter between Summer and Rhett was sooo good! Summer is quick with the comebacks and Rhett is just a grump. It's a grumpy sunshine cowboy romance.
I really liked the setting. I could picture every placed mentioned in the book. I've only been to one rodeo and this took me back whenever they were in a competition scene.
5/5 stars, absolutely recommend! I will be buying the rest of the series so I can binge ASAP!
I’m always sad when I finish one of Elsie’s books because that means I can’t experience it again for the first time. I love the world and the characters she creates.
Rhett. My beautiful, possessive man. I love him, he is mine. I claim him.
Summer is everything I love in a heroine — strong, determined, passionate, sassy, snarky, and most of all, she sees Rhett for who he is and not what everyone else thinks.
Each book that Elsie writes just gets better and better. The men she writes are dreamy and complex and flawed but you can’t help but love them. And her FMCs? Unmatched. I want to be them when I grow up. She never fails to write the best dirty talking men, the best banter, and as always, the spice is top tier and lives rent free. She creates such memorable characters and heartwarming moments. I love her stories and so incredibly thankful to be able to call her a friend. 🤍
This was such a perfect little fluffy small town cowboy lovin’ spicy yeehaw fairytale. The main characters were sweet, and Rhett is just a big ol golden retriever. This is just the book I was in the mood for and I’m definitely looking forward to the rest of the Chestnut Springs series and hearing the other characters stories. Elsie Silver dude knows how to write her men, and this was such a fun read.
Rhett Eaton has been felled by milk.
When the media catches wind of bull riding superstar Rhett Eaton saying that he hates drinking milk - one of his biggest sponsors drops him. Not only that - Rhett manages to come under heat after punching a reporter who wouldn't get out of his face. So when his manager assigns him an associate from his office to watch over Rhett to make sure he doesn't get into anymore trouble, Rhett does not anticipate it being his agents daughter Summer.
Summer just graduated law school and is looking to join her dad's firm. This seems like a test to her and she's willing to do whatever it takes to work with her dad and stay on at the firm. If that means making sure that Rhett maintains his good boy image, then Summer is willing to do whatever it takes. He doesn't need any more scandals before he tries to win his third golden buckle.
Flawless had so many of my favorite things in a romance
-forced proximity
-slow burn
-often hilarious text messages
-dual POV
-angst
-spicy scenes
-a hero who seems like an asshole, but is actually a sweetheart
-a fierce/independent heroine who doesn't judge the hero
I could go and on about why I loved this book. The chemistry, the banter, the way these two needed each other. Not because they felt incomplete, but rather because they lifted each other up. They were always there for one another and their relationship was built on that foundation.
I'm so glad I decided to read Flawless! I can't wait to read more from Elsie Silver.
4.5 stars
This series has been all over booksta so I knew I had to get in on it.
I didn't know it was set in Calgary before starting it and this was such a pleasant surprise!
Flawless is a slow burn but once the heat hits it's very open book 🥵🥵
I fricken loved the characters and I can't wait for the next book! I can absolutely see why this series has been all over booksta!
Huge thanks to NetGalley & Sourcebooks Bloom Books for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review!
The way I cannot explain why I love this book HA. I read all of the published books in this series on KU, and they are intoxicating beyond belief. I loved Rhett and Summer more than any of the other couples and their chemistry was off the charts. This was cute, funny, and absolutely addictive. I am instantly interested in everything else Elsie Silver has to offer and will absolutely be rereading. Why am I loving these Western romances so much lol
I have read the previous series by this author but this is the best Elsie Silver book to date. I liked the Gold Rush Ranch series but after reading this book I have a feeling this, Chestnut Springs Series is going to be even better. This book was just as the title describes, flawless! The main characters and secondary characters are amazing and I can't wait to read about more of them. Rhett and Summer were perfect. When Summer has to "babysit" grumpy bull rider Rhett for the summer things start out rocky. Once they get to know one other things start to heat up between them. This book is full of fun banter.
-enemy to lovers
-forced prox
-small town
-One bed
- age gap
-bull riding
Also, "If these were my last moments, how would I want it to be" ugh, chefs kiss.. perfect!
Thanks NetGally, Elsie Silver and Sourcebooks Bloom books for the eARC in return for an honest review.
I loved the small-town vibes and the banter. The chaps scene was certainly something. I loved all the relationships in this book as well as the rodeo vibes.
I definitely feel like small town romances are becoming a favorite of mine. There is just something so homey about living in a nice, beautiful place where everyone is close with one another. Elsie Silver delivered on this front and wrote such gorgeously vivid characters that felt like people you would want to know. The romance was the highlight of this book and had me devouring every single page! The main characters’ chemistry was off the charts! If any of this sounds appealing to you, then I highly suggest picking up this read!
This book was so freaking cute, I could die. 🥰 I’m not a big cowboy lover, but I am after meeting Rhett 😍
I loved Rhett with his grizzly bear exterior and big heart. I also related to Summer so much, from her excessive people pleasing all the way to her congenital heart problem. She was a wonderful character and I loved to see her growth.
SPOILER: The only thing I would complain about is how dumb the fight between Summer and Rhett in the hospital was. Rhett was trying to defend her to Rob. She got so pissed at Rhett, but she failed to tell him about the relationship between Rob and Winter. He for sure wouldn’t have said things like that had he known. He probably would’ve still been a raging dick, but the rest could’ve been prevented.
The intimacy between Summer and Rhett was amazing. Rhett’s character made me feel all the feels, and I haven’t felt that way about an MMC in a long while. My heart actually hurt when he hurt, and I was all giddy over the cute stuff. He was a very well rounded character for sure.
There were a couple of typos that had my eye twitching but otherwise, all was well lol
I would definitely recommend this book for my hopeless romantics.
I literally didn’t know I needed a bull rider book, until two things happened. First: I turned on my tv and PBR was on the screen. Second: I opened a newsletter and this was the recommended read. Fate was clearly telling me something, and I hate to ignore a sign.
Y’all!
Summer & Rhett could not have been more perfect for one another if they had tried.
And the side characters…. Mannnn, let me join this family real quick.
I loved this. I literally can’t wait for whatever is next from this author.
I saw this book all over Instagram, so I was excited to finally read it. This was the first book I have read by Elsie Silver, as well as my first cowboy romance, so I was unsure of what to expect. By the end of the book, I had fallen in love with the characters, the small town, and the entire story. Summer's story was much more complex than your typical female protagonist in a romance novel. Rhett's character development was great and I loved seeing his growth throughout the story. I am so excited to read the rest of the series.
I liked this one! I have to admit, I definitely think that this book series is a bit cheesy, but I still enjoy the books. I think as long as you go into the books knowing that they’re cheesy and being okay with it, then it’s a great series!
Thank you to Bloom for a chance to review the book before re-publication in exchange for my honest opinions.

Unfortunately, I cringed so much when I read this that I decided to DNF. This felt like "The Longest Ride" plus "Yellowstone" but with more cringeworthy pieces thrown in. I honestly couldn't get behind Rhett and Summer. They seemed so young and immature for characters near my age in the thirties. I wanted to love this book because it's been all over Bookstagram but I think maybe I'm too old for this time of story.
Elsie Silver's Chestnut Springs series is off to an incredible start in Flawless!
Rhett is the golden boy of bull riding: talented, charismatic, and good with women he has it all. Unfortunately, an off-hand comment drives sponsors away so his PR manager sends an employee (who also happens to be his daughter) down to manage him. Summer and Rhett butt heads incessantly in the beginning. He doesn't want a babysitter, and she wants to prove herself. But as time passes and they grow closer, they both begin to realize they've been chasing the wrong thing.
Full of spice, humor, and cowboys this is an incredibly book that I've read so many times. I love Elsie Silver's books and Flawless is no exception!
Where to begin! Rhett freaking Eaton. I didn't realize I needed a bull rider in my life but here we are.
Flawless follows Summer as she's assigned as a glorified babysitter for hotshot bull rider Rhett Eaton (who all the ladies drool over, rightfully so). They banter, they bicker, they fall head over heels (shocker I know) but this story was absolutely impossible to put down.
Like I said -- the banter is just *chef's kiss* and all of the side characters are absolutely amazing. Chestnut Springs roped me in (no pun intended) and I will be staying a while to enjoy each and every character's story in the series.
A+ to Elsie Silver! Easy 4.5 stars!
Flawless by Elsie Silver. A new to me author that I'm heard good things about. I'm really glad I had a chance to read this book and can't wait to read other books in this series and by this author. Great character development and dialogue.
Thank you NetGalley and Bloom for approving me for an eARC. Y’all know how to fucking serve and it’s much appreciated.
Ugh y’all romance books I swear. I used to hate them. Now I love them. They’re such GOOD books, especially when the author knows what they’re doing. And by God, Elsie knows what she’s doing.
Rhett (love the name) and Summer are such goals. Like they communicate, they talk, they listen. They don’t talk down, or abuse. They’re a good couple. And the fact that Rhett’s family loves her too makes it all the better. Same with Kip. I’m so glad he accepted their relationship and tried to help Rhett when he messed up. I’m glad he didn’t get all pissy about Summer dating him, cause that was something I was expecting but it was such a good read. The way he retired was so CUTE. Like he finally realized what he wanted and he. TOOK. IT.
Hell yeah.
This is the beginning of one of the best current romance series’. I was never a “Cowboy Romance” fan, but this has converted me. The banter, the steam, the side characters. It’s all immaculate and it just gets better and better. Elsie Silver owns my heart.
