Where to begin! Rhett freaking Eaton. I didn't realize I needed a bull rider in my life but here we are.

Flawless follows Summer as she's assigned as a glorified babysitter for hotshot bull rider Rhett Eaton (who all the ladies drool over, rightfully so). They banter, they bicker, they fall head over heels (shocker I know) but this story was absolutely impossible to put down.

Like I said -- the banter is just *chef's kiss* and all of the side characters are absolutely amazing. Chestnut Springs roped me in (no pun intended) and I will be staying a while to enjoy each and every character's story in the series.

A+ to Elsie Silver! Easy 4.5 stars!

Flawless by Elsie Silver. A new to me author that I'm heard good things about. I'm really glad I had a chance to read this book and can't wait to read other books in this series and by this author. Great character development and dialogue.

Thank you NetGalley and Bloom for approving me for an eARC. Y’all know how to fucking serve and it’s much appreciated.

Ugh y’all romance books I swear. I used to hate them. Now I love them. They’re such GOOD books, especially when the author knows what they’re doing. And by God, Elsie knows what she’s doing.

Rhett (love the name) and Summer are such goals. Like they communicate, they talk, they listen. They don’t talk down, or abuse. They’re a good couple. And the fact that Rhett’s family loves her too makes it all the better. Same with Kip. I’m so glad he accepted their relationship and tried to help Rhett when he messed up. I’m glad he didn’t get all pissy about Summer dating him, cause that was something I was expecting but it was such a good read. The way he retired was so CUTE. Like he finally realized what he wanted and he. TOOK. IT.

Hell yeah.

This is the beginning of one of the best current romance series’. I was never a “Cowboy Romance” fan, but this has converted me. The banter, the steam, the side characters. It’s all immaculate and it just gets better and better. Elsie Silver owns my heart.

Elsie Silver is the reigning QUEEN of cowboy romances. I have read all four of the Chestnut Springs books currently released, and I've started in on her backlist. I'm so excited for these rereleases from Bloom Books, starting with Flawless--because Elsie deserves all the accolades and praise. I can't wait for her books to make it into even more hands.

Rhett Eaton is the GOLDEN BOY of Canadian bull-riders, but a public brawl has left his reputation a lot less shiny. Summer Hamilton is assigned by her father, Rhett's agent, to babysit the bull-rider and polish up his reputation to its former luster. Rhett knows that Summer is off limits. But the heart wants what the heart wants, and he wants HER.

This is such a swoony, steamy start to the Chestnut Springs series. I love the entire Eaton family and how the series goes on to expand and give them each their own happy ending. Rhett is such a delicious, grumpy stud-muffin, and Summer is the perfect blend of sassy and sweet. I love how she sees Rhett for who he really is, rather than the public image he's perfected over the years. Their romance is hands down one of my favorites. It has so many of my favorite tropes: small town, slow burn, hilarious text messages, and opposites attract.

Thanks again to Bloom Books and netgalley for my advance review copy.

Thank you to the publisher for this ARC!

Unfortunately, I really did not like this book. I thought the characters were poorly written, and their connection was not strong at all. I also didn’t believe their love for each other, and think that a lot of things were left unresolved that just created unnecessary drama. I’m sure someone will like this book but it’s definitely not for me.

“It’s the best kiss of my life. It’s the best moment of my life. Because I found the piece that was missing. I have no idea what I’m going to do with the rest of my life, but I know I’m going to do it with Summer. I’m going to keep coming back, keep proving to her we’re better together.”

This was exactly what I needed after my last book which was very slow paced. I flew through this book and it was a cute and nice read. I liked both Summer and Rhett a lot and they had so much chemistry, the spicy scenes were really good and I liked Rhett’s family and can’t wait to see all the brothers get a book. There is bull riding which isn’t really fun to read about but the mmc Rhett is a bull rider.

Overall this was fun to read. If you like fast paced spicy romance with likable characters and ranch life then you should definitely read this. I’m excited to read more book by this author!

A book (and without a doubt) that lives up the hype! I guess as the other bookstagrammers have said, I’m in my cowboy era and I’m ok with it.

I don’t particularly have a thing for cowboys, i grew up in a small town, there were lots of them, but I’ll tell you, NONE of them were like Rhett and Cade. But let’s just focus on Rhett for now.

Rhett…he’s in his thirties, pushing his limits as a bull rider and messaging up his image along the way. He’s grumpy, he’s talented, he’s confident, and he’s got quite the mouth on him.

Summer, is in her twenties, also has a mouth on her, is witty, sharp and the perfect balance for Rhett.

The tension between the two? PALPABLE .

I couldn’t get over the tension. Silver’s writing is impeccable, and I felt hooked from the start. The characters are funny, there’s banter, there’s steam, and you can really FEEL it all.

I loved this book.

2.5/5⭐️
this series has been all over my tiktok, insta and youtube for the last few months so I was very excited when this landed on my shelf!!

cowboys? bull riders? sign me up

as someone who watched ‘the longest ride’ an unhealthy amount in highschool, i was in. rhett eaton and scott eastwood are the same person in my mind.

i really liked the characters and am definitely going to pick up the sequel asap because i need to see Willa and Cade happy and together.

i struggled with some of the pacing in this book and found it difficult at times to be fully invested with where the story was going. overall though i enjoyed Elsie’s writing and will definitely be looking more into her work!

thank you netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS BLOOM books for an e-arc!

I really enjoyed reading this book! "Flawless" is a swoon-worthy, bingeable, small town cowboy romance. The author does a great job capturing your attention and keeping it from start to finish.

The leading characters Rhett and Summer are so-well developed and I loved reading all of their playful banter.

I can't wait to continue reading on in this series and would definitely recommend it!

Thank you Elsie Silver, Net Galley and Sourcebooks-Bloom Books for providing me with an ARC of this book!

the way I could NOT put this book down! So good! My first read by Elsie & first Cowboy romance and I am obsessed!

The storyline was great and I loved the banter between them! I never wanted this book to end! I loved Summer so much and the way she didn’t back down from Rhett. I love that we got so much of them individually but also how they grew as a couple!

Will now be devouring every other book Elsie has to offer!

“if this was your last moment, would you go happy?”

Rhett Eaton is a pro bull rider with a bad boy vibe who has Summer Hamilton is his agent's daughter/marketing guru who is assigned as a "babysitter "to keep him out of trouble.

Things I loved:
-Everything about the country boy, bull rider scene
-Kip & Summer
-The whole Eaton crew
-Rhett's protective nature

My Reflection: Fair warning, once you start with Flawless, you won't be able to stop! It's like a little dose of country boy crack to hook you in and make you NEED the rest of the Eaton crew series.

Read if you like:
-small town romances
-cowboys/bull riders
-SPICE

Thank you to Bloom & NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my review!

this is NOT. AN Enemies to lovers so minus one star for false advertisement. this is “we are pretending to hate each other bc we want each other so bad” which is a whole nother can of worms that’s good but not enemies to lovers. they don’t have a reason to kill each other, therefore it’s not enemies to lovers.
with that being said i liked this book i liked the vibe it’s so the longest ride (movie edition)
he is so obsessed w her
it is very much omg she’s so perfect but whatever
i’m excited for the rest of the books
“wear the cowboy hat ride the cowboy” purr
one bed!!!!!
she is his babysitter for his image- forced proximity

I received a copy of the Bloom edition of Flawless for my honest opinion through Netgalley.

I am Canadian. I am a Prairie girl. I have lived in the Prairies my entire life and grew up watching my granddad on his combine on his wheat farm. But I am a hockey girl and have never been a fan of riding bulls. If you see my reading history, you will see the majority of my contemporary romance is hockey. Since the Chestnut Springs series are all standalones and I kept hearing hype about the hockey one... I jumped straight to the third book in this series, Powerless. Honestly, I wasn't interested in this one because it was about bull riding. But, after reading Powerless I realized I wanted to give the entire series a chance start to finish. I enjoyed Elsie's writing and I really loved the family dynamic at the Eaton's farm.

I AM SO GLAD I did. Flawless... I absolutely loved and devoured. The characters Summer and Rhett are so well developed and really just loveable characters. Ugh. I usually prefer reading only the male POV, but I was invested in both characters equally.

The way that Elsie bounces back between POVs really gives us a full detailed plot. It's not just her story and then him panting after her. They both had a story to tell. There is def spice and Rhett's got a dirty mouth but not one that makes me cringe. He's got that protective, "she's mine" territorial thing going on that has the girls swoon... But out of everything, I loved their relationship development the most, as they continued to work together and start to get to know each other. I also found the family subplots very interesting on both sides. Both got me in the emotional string tugs AND they both gave me LOL moments. I am excited to learn more about them as the stories go on.

I will def continue on with the series. I don't feel like I lost out on Jasper's story by reading Powerless first. His character isn't really involved much in this one. I am glad that I am going to stay in order for the rest though.

These are getting re-issued through Bloom, with Flawless re-releasing at the end of Aug. And I am STRUGGLING not to go buy the indie copy of the book right now because it was that good and I need a physical copy like yesterday. Did I mention I already pre-ordered the first three books in this series after reading Powerless? So, I am basically fighting with myself not to buy just a second copy cuz it's *sigh* that good. But you get extra Harvey in the Bloom editions... so alas, I can wait... maybe. At least I can still read the rest on KU until then!

4.5 stars rounded up to 5, I originally read this book in its indie published release. I loved it then and I still love it now, even more so with the further development of the Chestnut Springs universe in the additional books. However, I’m going to write this review as if I haven’t read the other books in the series because having read those did elevate my enjoyment of this reread. (But I did round up instead of down this time around when rating because I just love the Eaton family so much.)

Rhett Eaton is a professional bull rider who lands himself in hot water with sponsors and fans and is assigned a babysitter to keep him in line for the rest of the season. Enter Summer, his agent’s daughter and a new agent herself just getting her career started, and watch the sparks fly.

If you’re in the mood for a dirty talking cowboy, look no further than Rhett. He’ll deliver every time. Aside from that, while he may be grumpy on the surface, he’s all heart deep down. The way he supports and protects Summer is swoonworthy, though he’s not without some hotheaded faults. For her part, Summer is so genuine and really sees Rhett for who he is. She doesn’t take crap from him, and she has no issue in quietly standing up to his family when they don’t support him. The chemistry between the two of them is electric, and their affection and care is genuinely felt.

My biggest issue with the book is that a major part of Summer’s backstory that is revealed feels underdeveloped and unresolved. Admittedly, after continuing the series it does get the depth and resolution it deserves, which erased this issue for me. That said, for the sake of reviewing this as if the other books haven’t been written/released yet, I felt like I was missing pieces I wanted answers for right away.

I really enjoyed this book! This was pure fun and made me smile. The main characters had so much heart and I loved their interactions with one another. The romance was superb! A great start to a fabulous series. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for the arc of this book!

Flawless is a sweet, sexy and hot story, the sexual tension between Summer and Rhett is off the charts, I love the way the author narrates the story, how little by little feelings blossom and all those sparks between Rhett and Summer make a deliciously addictive explosion, I love how protective Rhett is about Summer, and I adore the whole family, the Eatons together.

I really enjoyed all the scenes between them, it is the perfect combination of steamy, cute, passionate and an emotional edge that will make you cry, sigh and laugh. Highly recommended for fans of Cowboy, Small town, slow born, Forced proximity, sexy and cute romances !

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for providing me with an egalley of this book to read and review. The opinions expressed here are my own.
Funny thing about this book, a week before I found it was on NetGalley, my friend suggested I read the series. She insistedI would like it. I will be truthful and say this one was having me judge a book by it's cover. the original cover was just too cheese for me, even though I liked the sound of the blurb. But then I saw it on NetGalley and decided fate had stepped in and I should give it a try. I'm so very glad I did!
Put aside all your thoughts on bull riding! Because despite not knowing one thing about the sport, I was totally absorbed in this book. It's a bit plot driven, but not as much as character driven.
The plot is simple: bull rider and champion extraordinaire, Rhett Easton, cares about one thing, riding. So when he's faced with a huge mess up, his agent sends him a babysitter to take care of his image. Of course sparks fly when he connects with Summer Hamilton .
I truly enjoyed the characters in this story. Summer is fierce, but has her soft side, and her insecurities while Rhett couldn't care less what people thing of him. Summer is faced with learning about this bull rider while trying to help scrub his image. Of course Rhett wants no part of it. But somehow the two connect. Is there attraction, sure, Summer had Rhett's posters glued to her walls as a teen. But there's also a deeper connection between them. And it really moves the story along.
I was surprised to love it as much as I did, considering I'm a city girl with no real knowledge of bull riding. However, I am a huge Yellowstone lover and this book slid right into my head in that way. Rhett even reminded me of Rip and Summer a bit of Beth. I think this is why I connected with it so well.
My only issue with the book, which cause me to not rate it the 5 stars it really deserved, is the use of the same phrase over and over again throughout: she/he/I rolled my lips. Using it once or twice, maybe even three times, ok, but it was how the characters were always described when "thinking" or not knowing what to say.
This book is fast paced, funny, fun, tense, and sexy, all rolled in one. I'm so happy I got to pick it up and experience it.

I was hesitant to begin the Chestnut Springs series as cowboys aren't really my thing. Elsie has convinced me that cowboys are REALLY my thing! This story of Summer and Rhett has all the best tropes- forbidden romance, enemies-to-lovers, small town romance, and one bed! This book is filled with fun characters who you'll be dying to read about in the rest of the series. Highly recommend this book and the series- even if you're not into cowboys!

I read this book 1 year ago now, but I wanted to write a review here too. This series is so good that I literally have all of the mirror cover editions... I am absolutely obsessed with the Eatons. 5 out of 5 stars and my Canadian ass literally eats all of this Canadian stuff right up. Rhett and Summer are so hot together. AND AND AND!! There's facesitting. Incredible.

A huge part of Rhett's personality is eating Summer's 🐱🐱🐱 and honestly, it's iconic. HE IS ICONIC. SHE IS ICONIC. MY PARENTS ARE ICONIC.

Rhett and Summer just balance each other out so well. And the steam in this is so so sooooo hot it's actually not even funny.

The WHIPPED CREAM. AHHHHHHH.

"You wear the hat, you ride the cowboy."

Flawless: 4.5 stars
Heartless: 5 stars
Powerless: 4 stars
Reckless: 3 stars
Hopeless: being published October 13 and has me drooling because Beau is my favourite and I cannot wait!! Beau has been my favourite from day one and I can't wait to see all of my Eaton babies together again.
