Yeehaw!!🤠

Ok, first of all, Rhett is like one of the hottest names ever.

It was spicier than I thought it would be! It was slow slow slow and then BAM!

I do think it felt more like lust than love for most of the book. I don’t know. I think I like more swoony moments with my spice.

I do think it was weird Summer’s dad kept telling her not to sleep with Rhett… like that’s none of your business? Why do you have to constantly bring it up? That is so uncomfy.

And I’m not gonna lie, pet names freak me out😂 I don’t wanna hear anyone say “princess” again!

But it was fun! And I’m always here for the banter. And if you’re spicy and like a cowboy- this is definitely for you!

This might be my favorite book in the series which I have now read most of. This book was honestly perfect and easily 5 stars for me. This has been my favorite series to recommend-everyone loves it. Rhett and summer are perfect. The bull riding element was different and I enjoyed it. I cant wait to read the rest in f them and more of elsie silvers books.

Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I had high hopes for this one because of the hype it got online! Flawless was a good start, It was a fun and easy read. However, I did not resonate with some of the writing. It felt juvenile at times rather than a romance between two adults. I will say, the story was a good time and I heard they just keep getting better as the series goes on. So, I will be revisiting Chestnut Springs and hopefully falling in love with other characters in the next few books!

Tropes & what to expect:

- forbidden romance
- age gap (25/32)
- cowboys

“You wear the hat, you ride the cowboy.”

We’re in our cowboy romance era, y’all! Giddy up ‘cause it’s gonna be one hell of a ride.
Big & Rich were on to something when they sang “save a horse, ride a cowboy” ‘cause as long as the cowboys are written by Elsie Silver, I’ll go saving horses any day of the week.

"Ruin me."
"Good. I'm about fucking done being a gentleman with you. And the only thing I'm ruining you for is anyone else."

Meet Rhett Eaton: professional bull rider, ladies’ man, and douchebag extraordinaire. And the object of Summer Hamilton’s teenage crush slash obsession. When her father, Rhett’s agent, puts her on the job to restore his tarnished reputation, she is forced to get reeeeaaal close to him as his new assistant (read: babysitter) and eventually breaks through his tough bull rider walls. And the man underneath isn’t so bad after all… As they spend week after week together in Rhett’s hometown and on the rodeo circuit, things between them start to heat up, and they connect in a way neither of them ever expected. But Rhett only cares about winning the rodeo championship and Summer is just doing her job (right?) — and a relationship between two people from such different worlds is doomed to fail.

The setting of this book was so fun and different from what I normally read and Elsie created a world that felt so real and yet magical. Chestnut Springs is everything — like, I want to go there. The characters were amazing, perfectly imperfect and everyone was on their own journey. I laughed and cried with them and couldn’t help but feel like a part of the Eaton clan as well. Summer ran a tight ship from the beginning but learned how not to let other people’s opinions and expectations dictate her choices so much along the way. Her being a pathological people pleaser (iykyk) was so relatable and I rooted for her from the moment she showed that vulnerability. I was so proud of her for learning to let go a little and finally put herself first. I did find her behavior a bit difficult to understand at times and her relationship with Rhett towards the end seemed to regress and even undo some of her character growth.
Rhett, on the other hand, was carefree and wild and yup, he was super hot and I have the biggest crush on him. I’m a Texas girl, okay? Gotta love me some cowboys. At times, he came off a little too childish, which given his age, made me want to shake him during some scenes.
Both of the main characters had excellent character growth throughout the book, and I was glad that it was not linear and therefore more realistic. However, Elsie’s signature third act breakup just annoyed me here because it was unnecessary and undid so much of the work they put into their relationship.

I had such a good time reading this book and am a huge fan of Elsie’s writing — the characters, the setting, the writing style and of course, the banter. As a country girl myself, this series is so close to my heart and I love that it’s finally getting the recognition it deserves. Flawless was fun, hot and hit me right in the feels, and was everything I want in a romance. And you can’t forget the hot cowboys. Or the cowboy hat rule.

Elsie Silver is one of my new favorite authors. This was a series I originally was recommended on Kindle Unlimited. This first book did not disappoint. I love the bull-riding descriptions and venue. It was truly unique. Summer is such a fun FMC. Also Rhett is just dreamy. Cannot wait to finish this series.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy reading about a fictional cowboy so much. This was a fun, fluffy romance, which was exactly what I needed!

3.75 stars rounded up to 4!

I read this in one sitting despite it being over 400 pages because it was just so bingeable! I really like Elsie Silver's writing and the Chestnut Springs world she has created and I'm excited for subsequent entries in this series but where I think this wasn't perfect for me was the instantaneous nature of their romance. I didn't feel like there was much of an emotional connection (really just more physical) until the end and also it kinda annoyed me how Rhett was just way too stubborn (like buddy please just have a couple convos and maybe things will be resolved). I've heard a lot of people say that this is their least favorite in the series and so I'm excited for the rest! Cowboy romances for the win.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I've heard about this book over and over and over again on BookTok, so I decided it was time to finally buckle down and read it.

Y'all...this book had me feeling allllll the feels. I absolutely loved the storyline, the characters, the spice, the literal everything. It was so good that I went out and bought all of the books in the series - including the one that hasn't been published yet.

100/10 - you should absolutely read this book, and you can thank me after.

I adored Flawless by Elsie Silver and cannot wait to continue the series! A cute small town romance with high stakes and attitude. Say less!

Can’t wait to get the sweet grass edition! Love this one so much! Elsie Silver is the queen of small town “cowboy” romances. Thai is the first time I have tried this trope and interconnected stand alone!

A sweet story!!! I wasn’t expecting to like this but in such a short time there was depth to the characters i appreciated. It’s nicely balanced and the development is smooth and quick. Super good!

This was a reread for me and it’s still wonderful the second time around. We get bull rider Rhett and his agent’s daughter who is just starting at the firm to babysit him, Summer. These two have great chemistry from the start and along the way go from banter to dirty talk. The middle of this is rough as we learn more about Summer’s past but also just what happens with these two.

Elsie Silver is a phenomenal writer with a knack for storytelling in a way that grips you from start to finish!

The classic "wear the hat ride the cowboy" trope. This book, this SERIES is everything. Silver brings a fresh spin to the forbidden romance trope, infusing the narrative with sharp dialogue and characters that go beyond the surface. Rhett's bad boy persona hides a man with depth, and Summer sees through it all.

Flawless is a fun and engaging read that explores reputation, damaged hearts, and the complexities of desire. If you're into small town romances with a side of bull riding, this one is up your alley! Elsie Silver crafts a tale where rules are meant to be broken, sparks fly, and hearts are on the line – a perfect escape!

Elise Silver did cowboys and bull riding right. Who knew that I would be writing a 4 star review about a bull rider and life on a ranch, but alas here we are. Flawless is the first in the Chestnut Springs series and it started with a bang. In the beginning of the book we are introduced to the Eaton family and there was a lot of learning happening and although the story was moving I was looking for more between Summer and Rhett. And when it happened it did not disappoint. The tension and chemistry that these two characters brought the book was off the charts. Especially coming from two totally different worlds. We learn so much about these characters and the subsequent characters as the story progresses but it never felt overwhelming. I honestly cannot wait to read more about this family.
