I never thought I'd be into cowboys, but boy has Elsie Silver changed my mind in a BIG way! Over the past year Elsie Silver has become one of my favorite authors, and I'm thrilled her books are being picked up by a traditional publisher. I'm so excited to pick up more of her books in the future, and with these gorgeous new covers!
A professional bull rider with a wild streak, Rhett has pissed off his agent one too many times that he decides to leave Rhett with his daughter to deal with instead. Summer needs to prove to her dad that she can do the job she came for, and if she can make sure Rhett stays out of trouble she may be able to prove to her father that she can handle herself and more responsibility in the business. It's too bad Rhett and Summer are gonna fall in love instead.
I loved this book so much! In every hate to love romance, my favorite moments are always when the characters are soft with each other. Summer has been through so much in her past and Rhett is feeling especially vulnerable about his past injuries and what they mean for his career moving forward, and I just loved the small ways they supported and uplifted each other without judgement.
Also, the spice in here? Next level. The chemistry between these two is unmatched, and I ate up every second of it.
In any long romance series, my favorite thing is to take a look at the side characters and speculate about which characters will fall in love next. Even though this is only the first book, this world is already so expansive with the secondary characters in Summer and Rhett's life, as well as the conflict they face with some of them.
Summer and Winter's conflict was particularly interesting, for example, as their already-fraught relationship is made even more complicated when we find out Winter's fiance is Summer's ex. Not just an ex, but a man who took advantage of Summer. Everything culminates in the end in the juiciest family drama I've read in a long time, but doesn't exactly wrap up in the way of Summer and Winter's relationship quite yet. I know Winter gets a book later on, and I'm particularly anxious for hers because I want to see her and Summer heal their relationship.
I loved this book so much, and I can't wait for more books in this series, and not just for the romance! There are so many side characters I'm already so invested in and that I want to see happy in future books. That's the best thing about romance series', it's not just the main couple we're rooting for. Ultimately, we're rooting for all the people our main characters love to get their HEA's too.

“She and I really are binary stars, stuck in each other’s orbit, drawn together by forces we can’t see or understand—but that we can feel.”
I absolutely adored every page of this book. I loved how genuine the relationship between Rhett and Summer felt, and how they both grew individually, as well as together. The spice was SPICY, and just absolute perfection 👌🏽 Elsie Silver is without a doubt an insta buy author for me, and if you’re debating reading her work, just trust me when I say do it.
5/5 ⭐️ 3.5/5🌶️

I never thought I'd be into a cowboy romance, but here we are. Elsie Silver writes with so much zip! Her characters spark off the page. I think anyone could fall in love with a Southern gentleman with a dirty side like Rhett. Summer is the perfect mix of strong, sharp, and caring.
This book had the right mix of plot tension - Rhett and Summer's careers, the pressure for Rhett to win and leave a legacy, and his risk for injury - mixed with the opposites attract sexual tension between he and Summer. Though the ending started to drag a little for me, I found rodeo culture overall to be very engaging. Silver also has me excited for the next books in the series with the introduction of several fun side characters. Overall, this is a great start to a new series. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

“Good. I’m about fucking done being a gentleman with you. And the only thing I’m ruining you for is anyone else.”

Yeeeeeeehaw!!! 🤠🤠🤠🤠 I’ve officially entered my cowboy romance era after being peer pressured into FINALLY starting the Chestnut Springs series from Elsie Silver. Flawless, the first in the series, introduces us to Summer, a recent law school grad working for her dad’s sports agency, and Rhett, a rough around the edges, older, bull riding cowboy whose reputation is in dire need of a makeover. Summer’s dad puts her on Rhett’s case and she moves into his family ranch with him for the summer to, well, babysit him. Did I mention that Summer had a poster of Rhett on her wall when she was in high school? Yeah, that definitely doesn’t make things weird.

This is your run of the mill, will they or won’t they, romance book. I knew what was coming with every page turn, I liked Summer, and I liked Rhett, and I loved Chestnut Springs. I read it in about 2 and a half hours and loved every second… especially Rhett’s fervor for certain activities🐱 I can’t wait to see what comes next in Chestnut Springs!

Loved this enemies to lovers/forced proximity romance!!
I may be a cowboy lover after this one 🤣
I absolutely loved Rhett & Summer's chemistry, and how their relationship blossomed from Rhett not wanting to be "babysat", to infatuation. I love the family in this book, and how they welcomed Summer in. Loved her sass, love love love! Can't wait for the next one.

This book reminded me of the movie THe Longest Ride and I was obsessed with that movie and I became obsessed with this book. Elsie Silver is a genius and she can do no wrong. I loved getting to know Rhett and watching his shell come undone. Summer is a great FMC and up for a challenge. Loved everything about this book

Who knew cowboy/bull rider romances were for me?! I absolutely loved this book— it was totally swoon worthy and lived up to the hype. Elsie has a great world built, and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

I think I’ve only ever read one other cowboy romance before Flawless, and now I get the appeal. Rhett Eaton and his stubborn pride was so hot. Flawless is a forced proximity/workplace romance about a bull rider and the PR agent assigned to help him rehab his image after a scandal. So delicious.

Rhett is a bull rider who is known for being reckless with everyone, including himself and the hoards of buckle bunnies. Honestly, my favorite part of the entire series is the usage of the term buckle bunnies. Rhett insults one of his main sponsors while cameras are rolling, and is forced to take whatever his agent, Kip, says he needs to do in order to build back his image. The only problem is that Kip has assigned him a babysitter, Summer.. who is fresh out of law school... and Kip's daughter. The only rule is to keep out of her pants, but it seems like he only has eyes for her lately. Summer and Rhett must choose how their lives will go, while their past haunts them equally.
Absolutely adored this book and Elsie Silver is one of my new favorite authors. All of her books will immediately be on autobuy status.
A must read!
