This was a reread for me and it’s still wonderful the second time around. We get bull rider Rhett and his agent’s daughter who is just starting at the firm to babysit him, Summer. These two have great chemistry from the start and along the way go from banter to dirty talk. The middle of this is rough as we learn more about Summer’s past but also just what happens with these two.

Elsie Silver is a phenomenal writer with a knack for storytelling in a way that grips you from start to finish!

The classic "wear the hat ride the cowboy" trope. This book, this SERIES is everything. Silver brings a fresh spin to the forbidden romance trope, infusing the narrative with sharp dialogue and characters that go beyond the surface. Rhett's bad boy persona hides a man with depth, and Summer sees through it all.
Flawless is a fun and engaging read that explores reputation, damaged hearts, and the complexities of desire. If you're into small town romances with a side of bull riding, this one is up your alley! Elsie Silver crafts a tale where rules are meant to be broken, sparks fly, and hearts are on the line – a perfect escape!

Elise Silver did cowboys and bull riding right. Who knew that I would be writing a 4 star review about a bull rider and life on a ranch, but alas here we are. Flawless is the first in the Chestnut Springs series and it started with a bang. In the beginning of the book we are introduced to the Eaton family and there was a lot of learning happening and although the story was moving I was looking for more between Summer and Rhett. And when it happened it did not disappoint. The tension and chemistry that these two characters brought the book was off the charts. Especially coming from two totally different worlds. We learn so much about these characters and the subsequent characters as the story progresses but it never felt overwhelming. I honestly cannot wait to read more about this family.

Love a good cowboy movie or book and this was it! Ah my first by this author and so so good! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Both main characters are interesting and dynamic and the perfect fit for each other. The tension jumps off the pages.

How I've slept on Elsie Silver is anyone's guess! Thanks to Bloom Books, I was granted access to an ARC of Flawless, the first book of her Chestnut Springs series. Let's just say, it grabbed me immediately. What are all the reasons to love this story?
1) There is always something magical about an opposites attract/sunshine-grump story. Summer's taming of the rodeo bad boy Rhett (even his name is rustic and ready) is the magic of this book. Their instant attraction and chemistry grab hold at the beginning and keep you held in their thrall throughout the story.
2) The forbidden nature of Summer and Rhett's relationship adds the perfect amount of tension to their attraction. Thankfully, Elsie Silver is careful in her construction of this. She doesn't make it foundational to her story. Instead, she challenges us with Rhett's journey to maturity. That seems a better focus for her book, and it misses the overwrought cliched trope of employer/employee/workplace romances.
3) Elsie Silver's found family trope of Summer's journey is the heart of the story and sets up the rest of the series nicely.
4) The whole thing. Honestly, there is a freshness to cowboy romance with this story that's piqued my curiosity for the other books in this series.
Honestly, the narrative of Flawless, coupled with Elsie Silver's descriptive powers, make this book a must-read.

I loved this book! Rhett was everything!!! I loved Summer—she was sweet and cared about Rhett so much. I loved all the characters we got to meet in this story—it got me super excited to continue the series! Overall, I want to live in Chestnut Spring forever!

I absolutely loved this book. The characters are all so charming and the writing is fantastic. I am now knee-deep in this series.

I loved this book!
This was my first Elsie Silver book, but it will not be my last.
I was a little worried because this book was so hyped.
I loved seeing Rhett become protective and loving toward Summer.
This was also my first rodeo story, let me say I need me some more rodeo stories in my life.

thanks to @netgalley and @sourcebooks @read_bloom! Thank you for this book for my honest review.

I first heard of Elsie Silver through one of her books that I read with my book club, #wegetlitbookclub: #reckless. Since I loved that book, I thought I’d try this one — and I’m glad I did! While I loved Reckless more, Flawless has a lot of great things in it, too.
🐂
Elsie is great at writing fiery, passion-filled closed-door sex scenes that are sure to prick desire in any prude. Not only that, Elsie’s ability to describe a character and completely change them for the better is clearly seen in Flawless. I loved Summer and Rhett (the two main characters) individually and together.
🐂
While I am a vegetarian who doesn’t agree with bull riding (and I also don’t think it’s a sport), I respect Elsie Silver’s depiction of Rhett as an athlete.

This book is perfect for fans of the forbidden romance trope.

If Flawless sounds like it’s a good fit for you, don’t hesitate to pick up a copy now!

I don’t know how much cozier you can get than a small town romance. It’s literally like a warm blanket being wrapped around your soul.
I LOVED this book. It was an easy read and I was rooting for Rhett and Summer the entire time. I feel the story had a lot of layers which I really appreciated. It wasn’t just a “romance”, but let me tell you the spice was 🤌🏼. There was a lot of growth individually, with their families and with each other. Also, the banter was SO. GOOD.
A must read if you like:
- Small town
- Only one bed / forced proximity
- Slow burn
- Protective MMC
- Enemies(ish) to lovers
A huge thank you to the talented Elsie Silver, Bloom Books, and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

“If this we’re your last moment on earth, would you—” I hold up a hand to stop her, shaking my head. I let out a ragged sigh and drink. Because in my last moments, I’d want to be with Rhett. I’d want him to know I love him too.
Guys. Rhett Eaton is literally everything. Have I ever really been a fan of cowboy romances? Nope. Am I a changed woman. YOU BET. I am obsessed with everything about this book. You will not regret picking up this series. The Eaton brothers are unmatched. 👏🏻🥵🥵

I haven't been one for cowboy romance but man this one has sold me. I am glad I have book two and beyond because I think my time is filled now finishing this series. The characters were so sexy and spicy and man oh man yummy!

This book made me fall in love with Elsie Silver!! This cowboy romance is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this book and the rest of the Chestnut Springs series!!

I totally understand what all the hype is about with this series! I loved Rhett and Summer’s story so much. The writing was amazing, I was hooked from the first page! The plot was beautifully done, the pacing was perfect with no slow bits, the character development was immaculate, the slow burn, enemies to lovers romance was everything. I fell in love with all of Rhett’s brothers and his dad! It’s so sweet and it deals with drama. I absolutely loved it. I think I may have entered my cowboy era! I’m so happy that I read this and will be suggesting it to anyone looking for a romance. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! Thank goodness I have them all!
Rhett is a professional bull rider, the “it” boy who got all the ladies until he made a mistake that blew up in his face. Now his agent has assigned his daughter (Summer) to keep a watchful eye on him. He doesn’t need a babysitter, especially an uptight, sexy, and super intelligent woman. After Rhett spends time with Summer, he realizes she’s more than another conquest. She really understands him and he can’t think of anyone but her. But when Summer pulls away, he still plans to steal her away.
I would like to thank @netgalley for sending me a free copy in exchange for a honest review.

This was such a fun, quick read and was really good. I enjoyed it so much thank you for the arc I will definitely recommend

my first cowboy romance and a mid start to a series. i liked the main characters as people individually and the eaton family stole my heart, but the romance between the two was lackluster and super lusty instead of romantic. now this could truly just be personal preference, but i don’t fully understand how they fell for each other. also everyone in her family annoyed the shit out of me and she deserves better (so does rhett, now that i think of it).
i will still be picking up the next book

If you need a book worthy of staying up until 3 AM - this is it.
Cowboys.
Romance.
Excellent Banter
Grumpy males
Strong females
Worthy of their own book side characters.
Spice...
This book was just perfection. I laughed, I teared up, I wanted to fight people... Seriously why did it take me so long to start this? Kicking myself as I download book 2.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the banter between Rhett and Summer as well as the banter we get with other characters. This book was very atmospheric and I was really rooting for the characters. I also really enjoyed how Rhett and Summer compliment each others personalities. They really helped each other see a side of themselves and others that they couldn’t see themselves. My only complaint with this book is I found that the resolution between Summer and her step mom and sister to be lack luster. I wish we had a bit more time fleshing out a really satisfying conclusion to that side of the story. I’m going to be recommending this book for months to come because I did thoroughly enjoy it.

Flawless follows Rhett and Summer in this beautifully written bill rider story. This book has officially started my cowboy era and I am not mad about it! Grumpy cowboy? Sign me up! This small town romance also had me in a chokehold with the forced proximity.
Not only were Summer and Rhett so easy to love, but I cannot wait to read about all of the other characters in their books. This book was so fun.
Thank you Netgalley, Elsie Silver, and Bloom Books for the digital Arc.
