M<y love for Elsie Silver and her Chestnut Springs series is SO STRONG! We start off with Theo, who is a bull riding sexy cowboy and just setting up all the dreaminess there is to come. Just sweep me off my feet! Every second of this book is swoon worthy and I'm 1000% invested.
This was such a good book love a small town romance that is easy to read from the very beginning to the end. I loved everything about this book and hope to read other books by the same author soon!
There is something about a small town romance that just really works for us. We never knew that we would be so into fictional cowboys but here we are, ready to saddle on up!
Summer has a complicated and messy past and Rhett has issues with his rider identity. Seeing them come together and fall in love was beautiful. This book was just so refreshing and fun, with lovable and enjoyable characters and we can't wait to see what the rest of the people in Chestnut Springs will bring!
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
So freaking cute. Summer and Rhett are couple goals for every romance book from now on. This book was so romantic and made me SO emotional. i loved the development the main characters had. I also loved seeing their relationship develop and become so much more. I need more cowboys in my books.
So, Elsie Silver's Flawless is a charming small-town romance that unfolds in the fictional Canadian locale of Chestnut Springs. The setting is the first green flag for me because as a Canadian, I love to see stories set in Canadian locations - especially small, country towns. The story revolves around Rhett Eaton, a renowned bull rider, and Summer Hamilton, the daughter of Rhett's agent, who - at the request of her father - becomes Rhett's assistant in the months leading up to the Bull Riding World Championship. The grumpy x sunshine & enemies-to-lovers chemistry between Rhett and Summer is utterly endearing, and the backdrop of Chestnut Springs, along with its array of supporting characters, adds such a nice warmth to the narrative. Rhett's father, in particular, stood out as one of my favourite side characters; he's such a sweetie! I think Rhett's family in general just added a lot to the story.
Speaking of the story... although the plot itself isn't groundbreaking, I believe that in the realm of romance, originality isn't necessarily a prerequisite. A romance novel either works, or it doesn't. It's cute and warm and spicy and everything that's good in the world, or it isn't. Thankfully, Flawless is the former.
But, I have to say that there were moments in the book that were really cringe-worthy, like when Summer unironically uses the term "slays" in regard to an outfit. Maybe that won't bother the average reader, but it took me out of the story momentarily. I also wasn't a fan of the subplot involving Summer's ex. For the first 3/4 of the book, the subplot seemed really disjointed, only for its purpose to be revealed later on. And it seemed to me like that purpose was the stereotypical third-act breakup/relationship troubles, which I didn't love.
Anyway, the ending was really sweet and showcased Rhett's growth as a character, completing one of the best romance love interest arcs I've seen in a while. I can't wait to keep reading the rest of the Chestnut Springsseries books!
Thank you to the publisher via NetGalley for providing me with a digital copy of Flawless by Elsie Silver to review. All thoughts are my own and are not influenced by any third party. #Flawless #ChestnutSprings #NetGalley

I adored! I think I’ve read all of Elsie’s books that are out and I don’t think there’s one I don’t enjoy. This is available on kindle unlimited and I highly recommend! I would totally buy this
The perfect mix of romance, drama, and self growth... oh and spice! I am now obsessed with this series and didn't know I needed cowboy romance in my life
As a note for this review I ended up reading this series all out of order - starting with book 4, then 2, and then 3 before I finally got to book 1. So oddly I had a really good look into where Summer and Rhett end up before reading their story.
With this in mind - I really really liked this book. Summer and Rhett were not my favourite characters in the series - this goes to daddy Cade Eaton and Willa - but i'm firmly in my cowboy era and this book solidified it even more.
Summer works for her dad, who is Rhett's agent. She's brought in to basically babysit him after he loses one of his biggest sponsors, and keep his reputation clean. If you love grumpy sunshine and forced proximity this book is definitely for you.
My only reason for this being a 4 star is because I know what a 5 star in the series looks like (HELLO BOOK 2).
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book!
Elsie Silver is a powerhouse in the romance world and I cannot recommend her books enough. I have recommended Flawless to people both on my bookstagram and in my personal life. Rhett Easton is an incredible hero and Summer is such a fantastic balance to his heat, spice and temper. I loved the world that Silver has created and am so glad that Bloom is bringing this to more readers. Flawless is the best introduction to a series I can imagine and I think Elsie Silver is going to take over the romance world, I really really do.
did someone mention a grumpy cowboy???
If this were my last moment alive, how would I want it to be?
ooks like i'm in my cowboy romance era now, and i'm not complaining. because this book make me blush so much. the spicy scenes were so good, i swear i had to stop doing house chores and just fan myself at one point.
WEAR THE HAT, RIDE THE COWBOY!!!
Rhett Eaton is a bill rider and the way he would light up around Summer, they're the absolute cutest together.
Rhett was going to risk so much just to get another win, because to him, Bull Riding was everything. until Summer came barreling in his life with rules as his temporary agent and babysitter after a slip up with a sponsor.
"You were out there this whole time, and now I know you exist, and I can never go back. Wouldn't want to if I could."
need more of this small town romance, more elsie silver, more rhett and summer, more of the eaton boys, more more MORE!
I’m still in my cowboy era (cue laughter). Flawless by Elsie Silver is a cowboy romance worth the hype! If you like ranch life, learning about cowboy things, and I haven’t even gotten to the tropes yet. I’m talking about some enemies-to-lovers, forbidden love, forced proximity, opposites attract kinda tropes.
Meet Rhett. He used to be the face of professional bull riding. It all blew up in his face after a public brawl. Now he is forced to clean up his image, and is stuck with his agents daughter for the rest of the season as "full-time supervision."
Rhett is upset. He doesn't need a babysitter. Her skin-tight jeans, sexy smirk, and mouth she can't stop running really irritate him. But will that irritation grow to love, and if it does, will that love be able to heal her damaged heart?
Totally forgot to mention this book is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. I finished this book in one sitting thanks to page one, so I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting into it. This is a spicy read, but in a good way! I love how Silver builds tension, sprinkles in banter, and the relationship before giving readers any spice. This is an amazing romance, sexy to boot! I’m really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Three cheers for Silver!
okay friends, you all are two for two with hyped up booktok romances! i really enjoyed this one so much, and it was so much more than just a romance (please check my tw/cw down below)! This is a forced proximity romance involving a professional bull rider who got in to trouble and now his sponsorships are at risk, and the daughter of his manager who now has the job to watch him and make sure he doesn’t get into any more trouble before a big championship in vegas! (unrelated but i live outside of vegas, and the author sounded very knowledgeable about this profession, so i looked it up and we really do have this each october lol!)
oh also, this is a little bit of an age gap romance, and our mc had a crush on the bull rider when she was younger, and i thought this was a super cute element too! but basically, she moves on to the ranch with him and his family (the other brothers are the following books in this series, i do believe) and we get to see them slowly and stubbornly fall for one another. also, both of their dads were my favorite characters and seeing them realize they were falling for each other before they did? my heart was melting a little, i wont lie.
i loved the small town setting, i adored their romance (and the bed of the truck scenes 🫣), i enjoyed how fast paced the writing was, and i appreciated that this book did talk about some heavy things! i can’t wait to start book two soon soon soon!
trigger + content warnings: loss of a parent in the past, hospital settings both past and present, grooming, inappropriate relationship with power imbalances with a medical professional (nothing happens until she is 18, but it’s very scary and disgusting), animal abuse in the form of bull riding, a lot of talk of infidelity in the past, heart attack, medical scares involving hearts and surgery going not as expecting in the past, a child with congenital heart defect in the past, stalking, manipulation, paparazzi, assault, verbal and emotionally abusive step parent,
This was my first Elsie Silver book and certainly won't be my last. Cowboys are now on my radar. This was a sexy hallmark type story with a cute plot line . It was a very easy read and I enjoyed it very much.
This is the first cowboy romance I ever read and now I am obsessed!
This lived up to all of the hype I saw on TikTok and I am so happy I was able to read this book. The small town vibes are so perfectly executed and the love I have for the Eaton boys was already clear to me after this book.
I loved that the romance did not present itself all at once, nothing felt rushed or misplaced. The spice was spectacular and just the right amount. I thought all of the cowboy aspects were so fun to read about and written in a way that I never thought was cringe worthy. Overall, this is a fun and spicy cowboy romance that will put you in the best mood and maybe inspire you to binge all other cowboy romances or save a horse! ;)
I have since read all the other available books in this series and cannot wait for Beau's book to come out soon! Please, please read!!
Thank you to Bloom Books, Elsie Silver, and NetGalley!
Am i into cowboys now??? lord have mercy this was such a good, steamy cowboy romance and i enjoyed every second of it! Summer is an amazing female lead and Rhett charmed his way into my heart way too fast. Flawless was truly an entertaining read, i couldn’t pull myself out of it and just read it all in one sitting.
Grumpy-sunshine, forced proximity trope at its peak, this book was absolutely swoony and soft and lovely 🥲 also, this is my first bull fighter romance? I did not expect to love it so much, the background info about the bull fighting and the accompany dangers and exhilaration were very interesting to read!
The third act grand gesture okay 😭 it was so >>>>
TWs - a young female patient (the FMC when she came of age) sexually exploited by her much older doctor (happened in the past, and described in detail in the present) and said doctor actively manipulating her for years after that, the dangers of bull-fighting as a sport, a past heart condition, heart attack experienced by a parent in the present, cheating by a parent (past), domestic abuse by a step-parent and a step-sibling (past and present)
-- ty to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy!
I cannot wait to read the rest of the Chestnut Springs series!! Def in my cowboy romance era 🤠 thank you NetGalley, Bloom Books and Elsie Silver for letting me read Flawless!!
this book had it all. i was hooked. It gave me the emotional feels and love about this. I really enjoyed this story and this author book. I will need to read more of these stories.
Welcome to Chestnut Springs ! Rhett, a professional bull rider, meet Summer is babysitter/agent’s daughter.
I was so happy to finally read it !
Small town, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, cowboy, what’s not to like ? The atmosphere and the place makes us want to go there. (Or live there, I mean, it’s Alberta !!)
I loved the relationship between the two main characters, the tension is addictive ! but also the relationship between Summer and all the others member of Rhett’s family.
Also, there is some twist you won’t see coming.
This is the first book of Chestnut Springs and I can’t wait to read the others.
