I LOVED THIS BOOK. Everything about it, all the hype is so spot on. I gasped, I swooned, I seethed, I cried. It was everything and so much more. I cannot wait to read more from this series!
I’m still in my cowboy era (cue laughter). Flawless by Elsie Silver is a cowboy romance worth the hype! If you like ranch life, learning about cowboy things, and I haven’t even gotten to the tropes yet. I’m talking about some enemies-to-lovers, forbidden love, forced proximity, opposites attract kinda tropes.
Meet Rhett. He used to be the face of professional bull riding. It all blew up in his face after a public brawl. Now he is forced to clean up his image, and is stuck with his agents daughter for the rest of the season as "full-time supervision."
Rhett is upset. He doesn't need a babysitter. Her skin-tight jeans, sexy smirk, and mouth she can't stop running really irritate him. But will that irritation grow to love, and if it does, will that love be able to heal her damaged heart?
Totally forgot to mention this book is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. I finished this book in one sitting thanks to page one, so I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting into it. This is a spicy read, but in a good way! I love how Silver builds tension, sprinkles in banter, and the relationship before giving readers any spice. This is an amazing romance, sexy to boot! I’m really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Three cheers for Silver!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher! I was so happy to see Elsie Silver’s Chestnut Springs series get traditionally published as I had seen it everywhere described as a must-read, swoon-worthy cowboy romance. The romance tropes weren’t my favorite, but this was cute and I definitely get the hype! I love that the series will show all of the brothers/friends and I can’t wait to read the next ones.
Lots of heat, lots of humor, and plenty of cowboys :)
The perfect recipe. I love this series so much that I requested this book to read (Again). I can't wait for the final installment to come out soon!
Elsie Silver knows how to write a cowboy... and even better, she knows how to write a strong, independent woman!
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books, Bloom Books for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I always worry when a series is so popular that it won’t live up to the hype. This was absolutely not the case here. I loved this book so much!
I loved Summer and Rhett! Their banter was so much fun and the tension and chemistry between them was incredible.
I’m a sucker for a city girl meeting a cowboy. Especially once as protective and possessive as Rhett. I loved that he would take down anyone and do anything to protect those he cared about. Throw in one bed, one horse, and forbidden love and I’m a goner.
I cannot wait to start the next book in the series. I have been told it is even better!
I've seen rave reviews of FLAWLESS across both Booktok and Bookstagram for months and was so excited to read. It absolutely stands up to the hype with spectacular setting, voice, and characters who I couldn't help but root for as individuals and for their relationship.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. the bull riding aspect is facinating, the set up for this couple works so well for their personalitis and I want to go hang out at the bar with this family.
This is a book that is borderline enemies to lovers, but also manages a one bed trope complete with the female main character, Summer, warms her feet up on the male main character, Rhett's, legs! This book had wonderful character development, hints at backstory that later flourished, and plot twists I quite literally never saw coming. I enjoyed all the twists and turns, including the 3rd act break-up and reuniting at the end. This book had me hooked from the first chapter, was a very easy read because it was well written and has kept me wanting more in terms of wanting to read the next 2 books! Elsie Silver has the perfect amount of spice, and nice!
Country boy who just doesn't care what people think gets in trouble with his sponsors and earns close watch from his PR company in the form of Summer Hamilton. He tries to rebel against the watchful eye of Summer, but realizes he enjoys the attention and the caring eye Summer offers. Summer isn't sure how to handle this new assignment as she is new to the company, but also has had a crush on Rhett since she was younger and had his poster hanging on her wall. The line between professionalism and romanticism gets blurred, and they both must decide what they want more.
Thank you Net Galley for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review.
“It’s the best kiss of my life. It’s the best moment of my life. Because I found the piece that was missing.“
Summer and Rhett. He’s a professional bull rider, and she’s been sent to be his babysitter so she can help save his career.
I enjoyed this book and I absolutely loved the side characters especially Kip and Harvey! I’m excited to read the other books in this series!!

Flawless was a fun read, and honestly? It made me want to go to a rodeo ASAP.
Rhett Eaton is a professional bull rider who's gotten himself into some hot water with his sponsors. Summer Hamilton is his agent's daughter - and an up-and-coming agent herself - and she's assigned to keep an eye on him (read, babysit) for the rest of the season. But once sparks start to fly between them, it's hard for them both to remember to keep professional distance.
This book is a pretty classic alpha-hole meets his match love story. Summer and Rhett had great chemistry, and I thought the secondary characters around them (their family and friends, mostly) were just as enjoyable. Occasionally and particularly in the second half of the book, the plot got a little messy and overstuffed, and this book isn't necessarily doing anything new, but I had a great time reading it anyway.
Basically, an enjoyable cowboy romance with plenty of banter and dramatics!
3.75/5
What a fun cowboy romance! I like Rhett and I like Summer. I like them together. I have no complaints about the main plot but did not care for the subplot with Summer’s sister and husband. It was so dramatic and unbelievable. I learned quite a lot about bull riding which was actually very interesting. This was the first book I read in this series but have since read three others and this was my least favorite. It’s a nice introduction to Elsie Silver’s little Canadian cowboy world.
after catching some heat from sponsors, Rhett has earned himself a baby sitter for the rest of the bull riding season — and it’s his boss’ daughter. summer is ready to do what’s asked of her, always a daddy’s girl, not to mention a childhood crush on the guy. once they figure each other out, summer realizes he’s not so rough around the edges, but his career scares her.
this book got me in the end. it started out a little slow for me and I wasn’t sure if I was going to stick with it … but I am so glad that I did! i didn’t really love summer or rhett tbh but am interested in some of the other characters storylines. and that plot twist … holy shit. the scene where she’s on the phone with her ex in rhett’s room wasnt too bad either 😏
*thank you Elsie Silver, Netgalley and source books/bloom books for the copy. views are my own*
This is top three books I’ve read this year. In another life, I too end up with the cowboy. I love every single thing about this. I can’t wait to read more of the Chestnut Springs stories.
The perfect book with that small town vibes. Rhett Eaton is the typical professional bull rider, he is a known play boy. Summer Hamilton is the daughter of Rhett's agent, who is essentially sent to help Rhett clean up his image.
Its the typical book where the MMC is misunderstood by his family, granted its because of what he choose to do as a profession. There FMC has the typical rough upbringing, ya know the horrible "step" family. She is a little closed off but still doesn't stop her from supporting Rhett when it matters. She gets to see a side of Rhett that most people don't get to see.
The relationship building is perfect in this.. not to mention the off the chart chemistry and spice in the book.. 🔥🔥This book is also jammed pack with the drama, but who doesn't love that, it keeps you guessing what will happen next but also that you which you can reach in the book and hug them.
Ill always pick a book full of tons of banter but also characters who bring out the best in each other. Ones who grow with each other, heal with each other, and support each other no matter what. Will I recommend this book?.. 100% ... this will make you wanting to reach all cowboy romances.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Publishing for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review of my thoughts.
Holy Cow-boy 🥵🥵🌶️🌶️
It’s save to say my cowboy romance era is now in full swing because Flawless had so many of my favorite things in a romance
-forced proximity
-slow burn
-often hilarious text messages
-dual POV
-angst
-spicy scenes
-a hero who seems like an a-hole, but is actually a sweetheart
-a fierce/independent heroine who doesn't judge the hero
I could go on and on and on about why I enjoyed this book. The chemistry, the banter, the way these two needed each other. Not because they felt incomplete without each other or love, but rather because they lifted each other up and made each other even better. They were always there for one another and their relationship was built on that foundation.
I'm so glad I decided to read Flawless! I can't wait to read more from Elsie Silver.
How much did I enjoy this book?
I started it at 12PM and finished it at 8PM. I read it while walking my dog and trying not to sprain an ankle. I listened to the text-to-speech while running errands. I read it with supper in one hand and my ereader in the other. The only time I wasn't reading it was when I was doing pesky chores and my headphones needed to be recharged.
Was it supremely cheesy in some parts? Yes. Was I kicking my feet in glee? Also yes. This was such a blast to read, and being familiar with the area in which it was set was a nice little addition.
Overall, I do believe that the hype I've been seeing for this book is well warranted. I will be tumbling straight into Heartless...
A big thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for an arc of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
I’m not typically drawn to small-town/western romance stories. That being said, y’all were Relent.less (see what I did there?!) with your passion for this book and the entire series, so I decided to give it a shot. I started reading the ebook right before we moved, so I ended up listening to the last half on audio during the first leg of our 1,000-mile journey.
Honestly, just call me an Elsie Silver fan for life because I drank the Kool-Aid, and it is divine.
I just loved this book. Loved the characters. Loved the story. Loved the whole thing. Loved it so much that as soon as I finished the first one, I immediately downloaded the next book in the series on Audible while pumping gas somewhere in the middle of Ohio.
There really isn’t anything crazy or over the top that made me love this book. In fact, some of the elements are just straight up, not at all my usual vibe (um, the MMC is a professional bull-rider?!) But whatever. The story is perfectly sweet and straightforward, and I think maybe that’s why I’m so taken with it. I sometimes get bored with run-of-the-mill romcoms and contemporary romances. But this one stood on its own in its simplicity with great storytelling and flawed yet lovable characters.
In conclusion, go read this book. Don’t be the stick in the mud (like me) who randomly resists super popular trendy books until years after the fact. You need this book in your life, so just save yourself the time and energy of wondering why the f*ck you didn’t just listen to your fellow Bookish B*tches who know what they’re talking about.
READ 👏 IT 👏 NOW! 👏
This is absolutely one of the best intros into cowboy romances as we are introduced into Chestnut Springs. I am in love with Summer and Rhett and their chemistry! I enjoyed this so much. I loved getting to see their character development. It was such a fun read!
Loved it
It took me a bit to get into it because I was not a fan of Rhett at first, his whole attitude was infuriating at times. The more I learned about him, I actually started to love him. Then I couldn’t put this book down.
I loved the romance, i was obsessed with how protective and possessive they were with each other. Their chemistry was amazing.
Summer was great. I loved that even though she was dealing with a lot of insecurities due to her past, she always stood her ground and stood up for herself.
Summers story line was so interesting and I was truly invested. I needed to continue reading until I knew what would happen with her ex. Everything was great, the only thing I personally didn’t love was the conflict. It was satisfying and I enjoyed it, but I just wish some things were handled differently.
Overall, I loved this book. This was my second time reading it and I loved it as much as the first time. I recommend this entire series
Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebook Bloom Books for providing me with a copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review.
They were really good together. It's my least favorite in the series but I love them all so it's not a bad thing. Elsie Silvers writing is just so good.
