Kidnapped by the most vicious gangster in Chicago, Nessa is thrust into the middle of a plot for revenge. Mikolaj wants her family to suffer. It doesn't matter that she is innocent. She is the daughter of those who had a hand in killing his adoptive father. But the more she is around, the more his frozen heart melts. Especially when he watches her dance.

This one definitely felt more Mafia romance than the last one since Mikolaj has no issue getting his hands dirty. I loved the gothic aesthetic and ballet aspects. I wasn't a huge fan of Nessa being a trembling innocent as I like my heroines to have a little more umph but overall I still enjoyed this book. I read it in a little over a day and didn't want to put it down! If you like Mafia/dark romance, give @sophie_lark_author a try. Her writing is so good!

Really enjoyable mafia romance. Definitely one that I could go back and reread. It’s like a merge between classic mafia romance and a beauty and the beast retelling. The characters are well developed and you’ll be surprised at how much you love the FMC.

This was another great book within the Brutal Birthright series. I am excited that I have all of them to binge. This was a fascinating one as it was all beauty and the beast and that is my go to for retellings. So far these are addicting but I feel that they could do more. I also kind of wish these didn't have artwork in them. Some of it's ok but most of it is just really weirdly done.

It was so fun to revisit this world with the inclusion of the illustrations that only add to the immersion into this world. I love Sophie Lark and these characters and am so happy that more people get to experience them now!

This book was absolutely everything!!! I don’t know why but a kidnapped Stockholm story always hits the mark for me, and this one was perfect! You could definitely feel the beauty and the beast vibes and I loved it. Nessa character was so good, Sophie did a great job of writing a sweet delicate feminine FMC with out making her Mousey and weak.The way nessa handled everything that was thrown at her was so good, and I was just in awe of her resilient. And I loved how her dancing was such a big part of this story you could really feel how much she loved it and needed it through the pages. Miko was such a great MMC too, his origin was heartbreaking and I loved that we got a backstory to why he was the way he was. I also loved how easy his cold heart melted the more nessa took over his life. The two of them together were so good, I loved when they danced together. I also loved how he handled trying to win her after all that went down, he was such a gentleman in that way and I loved how much he would do to have her in his life. Together the character growth was amazing! I also really loved the dark gothic setting of this book the mansion was perfect and added such a good element to this story!

I breezed through this book in almost no time. Nice and quick read. Not boring but nothing to keep in the memory bank for re-reading.

believe that they fell in love that fast but I just wanted them to talk more. I feel this book couldve been alot more developed.

modern day beauty and the beast vibes in this opposites attract dark romance. It was some sudden insta love/lust. Miko was dark and moody and I'm pretty sure Nessa had a case of Stockholm Syndrome. I'm not very experienced with these tropes and I would not gravitate toward them again, but Sophie Lark writes so well it's hard to not love everything she puts out.

I enjoyed the main male being covered in tattoos and the mafia vibes.... but that's about it.

A Mafia Beauty and the Beast retelling sounded so good... too good. It was just too close to the story that it didn't feel too original more like a copy with a tweak of scenery and characters. The romance wasn't very believable, as in it was too forced and out of the blue rather than built up.

Sophie Lark did it again.

I enjoyed reading about another couple in this universe. Stole Heir was such a great story to continue into this world.

Nessa and Mikolaj's story is simply beautiful. Mikolaj abducts Nessa as part of his vengeance scheme against the Griffins, taking away the youngest of the family to terrorise both the Griffins and the Gallos, since Nessa was the favoured one by most of the children of the two families.
Taking her had a risk he hadn't planned for- falling for her. And all the while Nessa is held hostage in a beautiful mansion, her cage is what really set her free. Away from her family and their shadow, who coddle and protect her from everything, being taken by Mikolaj not only shatters all her naivety about the world but also set her free in the essence of taking a step to be more than the spineless sweet thing her family has expected her to be.
The beauty and the beast vibes are real in this captivating story, where the plot of revenge is crushed against the throws of passion between Nessa and Mikolaj and once a danger rises and Mikolaj is torn between his revenge and his rising feelings for Nessa, things escalate and the pages will fly by without you realising it.
Sophie Lark really knows how to give you an enemies to lovers that will captivate you and have you read the book cover to cover.

I absolutely loved this book!! Nessa js such an amazing character and her relationship with Miko is the best!! This is a fantastic Beauty and the Beast or Hades and Persephone retelling and I absolutely love it!!

Sophie did it again, OMG!! I will never shut up how I'm a huge Sophie Lark's avid reader. Don't get me started on this dark mafia series, since Brutal Prince I have always look forward to the next books. The tension and attraction between the two main characters despite being totally opposites - it's giving me Beauty and the Beast vibes. I could go on but one thing is definitely sure, for anyone who loves dark mafia romance like me WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??

This is a MUST read!

I found this book more enjoyable than brutal prince, however I did feel like something was still lacking or missing for me. It’s not a bad book by any means as I did enjoy it I think I was just expecting more from it.

I love Sophie Lark and this dark Mafia series! They are absolutely on fire just like the spicy bedroom scenes. I will buy this series until the stop and Sophie Lark is an absolute auto buy for me! And this book has the innocent little kidnapped ballerina and the big bad Mafia guy, Miko. Love love loved this book!!!! I need more!! 6 out of 5 stars!!!

I loved this book. The mafia part was my fav and the soft side of Miko with Nessa had me swooning. This may be my favorite MC from the series. I didn’t love Nessas character so much, but Miko made up for it lol

The kidnapping trope felt lacking, and the emotional depth between the protagonists only emerged towards the end, leaving me desiring a more profound connection. The narrative's brisk pace and easily resolved drama contributed to a sense of predictability, and comparisons to "Twisted Pride" highlighted a missing darker edge. However, the book had its enjoyable moments, particularly with the charming characters of Klara and Marcel. While not a bad addition to the genre, "Stolen Heir" may better suit those who appreciate a lighter take on mafia dynamics.
