Secrets can be dangerous and even the smallest truth could make a difference if they are revealed.
This book had me engrossed from the first page. “All the Little Truths” follows Finley O’Sullivan with her unusual skill set for finding out the truth, it does not matter if her client’s innocence or guilt is discovered in the outcome. This is book three of the Finley O’Sullivan series and Finley is tasked with solving a high-profile cold case murder that happened 13 years ago.
The book is part of a series however I was able to follow along and understand the events that took place in the previous book. How thoughtful of the author to give a refreshing overview of what happened in the series previously to those that read the earlier books. I am sure new readers will appreciate the recap as I did, it helped to give some insight into what happened to Finley previously. The tide bits about what happened to Finley’s husband piqued my interest, and now I want to go back to read the previous books in the series.
The author’s writing is always enjoyable to read and easy to follow. The plot is suspenseful although I did figure out early on who the killer was, how all the other parts fit into the story was what kept me reading. The story did not lag at any point, however there were times when I felt the story was taking too long to get to its full truth. There was not a dull moment in this book, the multilayered plot made sure of that. Not only is Finley working on solving the Lucy Cagle murder, she is working to find out what happened to Ian Johnson, Finley is also mentally dealing with the aftermath or what happened to her and her husband, she discovered her neighbor Helen Roberts passed out in the backyard and takes the time to visit her in the hospital, and she makes the decision to run for District Attorney all the while a stalker is following her. See what I mean, a lot happening but the author did not miss a beat in keeping each plot moving with grace, sufficient details and making sure all had closure. I could not even think of one question. Skillful writing and editing make for wonderful reading pleasures.
Finley’s drive and determination is evident, she holds true to only caring about finding out the truth even when it looks like her father may have some involvement in what happened to Lucy. Finley is juggling a lot, but she does it well. She is a character to be admired and that I want to read more about.
The payoff at the novel’s end was very unexpected for me, this astonishing twist was unsettling and unusual. The author’s craft in mystery writing is intense and descriptive and it is evident that her goal is to keep the readers interested, that goal was achieved. The places and details mentioned show that she does her research into the structure of her novels. This instinct is characteristic for a Debra Webb read, and her well-structured suspensive plot surely will ignite enough curiosity to keep readers reading in one session. I do recommend to readers that enjoy a full suspense novel with a strong and devoted female lead character.
All the Little Truths is the third book in the Finley O'Sullivan series. I have read each one in the series and have been thoroughly entertained. Each one can be a stand-alone read but you will be so disappointed if you don't read them all in order.
Finley is working with her “Uncle” Jack as he represents Ray Johnson. Ray like his father does not have the best reputation and runs his family's business like a mob boss. Ray hasn't been accused of a crime yet. But after evidence was found in one of his buildings that could incriminate him for an unsolved crime, he hires Jack to represent him and find the truth of what happened and while they are at it, if they could find his missing brother who disappeared about the same time as the victim of the cold case, for his father before he dies, that would be a big help also.
Finley does what she does best. She investigates and gets to the bottom of things that most people overlook. She has the ability to make people tell her things that most investigators lack. As she digs into the cold case, she notices she is being followed, which leaves her to believe someone doesn't want the truth to be found or her former nemesis is up to his old tricks again.
This was a fantastic riveting addition to the series. I love the writing as it draws you into the story from the very first few pages, I hope that there are many more books to come in the series.

I'm so happy I had the opportunity to read the second book in the Finley O'Sullivan series. I liked the first one, and I hoped to read the second. I liked the continuity and little snippets here and there reminding me of what happened in the previous book.

This book took an approach different from other thrillers. From the beginning, you could guess the perpetrator who committed the crime, but not the 'why'
It was the why that kept me turning the pages. I was still surprised at the ending though.
👩🏼⚖️👩🏼⚖️
I loved yo see that Finley is getting better and healing from the trauma from the previous book. She's dating and taking care of herself now. Even though Finley is now dating Matt, I liked that it didn't diminish what she had with Derrick.

This book was amazing, but you can't read it as a stand-alone, you'd be confused. But, I can't wait for the next book because Finley will be running for DA office, yay!
I’ve read all three in the past few weeks and have really come to love these characters. The books are simultaneously easy and intense and kudos to Webb for pulling that off. I’d definitely read more of these
Thanks to Netgalley for the free copy in exchange for an honest review
Through a loose clue hidden in plain sight, I was able to decipher one important climatic revelation before I read one-fourth of the book. It didn't hamper the suspense, though, as there were many other puzzles to be solved and many lies to be uncovered by the end. Overall, All The Little Truths by Debra Webb turned out to be a decent whodunit for me.
With a combination of fascinating and timely investigative work with moments of quickly paced action and surprises, this is a nice addition to a series I'm fully enjoying. It's got a solid setting, and it's clear that the author thought through this series from book to book with solid and unexpected connections between books.
Another fascinating legal investigation for Finley Sullivan. Finley works for attorney Jack Finnegan and he calls her in on his new case, a cold case. Lucy Cagle was murdered thirteen years ago, but now her bag has turned up at a construction site. A local family owns the site and the police have reopened the case. Finley a former ADA, never gives up and is tenacious in her investigations. She is only interested in the truth, but if she can get justice for Lucy then that is a plus. Lucy’s mother, an investigative reporter went missing shortly after her daughter’s death. At the same time the man Lucy may have been seeing is also missing. Could these two cases be connected? If so, how? After Finley’s husband was murdered, she tracked down his killers and awaits the trial of the man accused of hiring the hit. She has found love again with her best friend, Matt Quinn and knows that she must tread carefully, as Lucy’s killer is still out there. A fascinating twist to the exciting ending! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
I really enjoyed this book by Debra Webb. This is my first read from her and I will definitely read more. The mystery definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and there were twists I never saw coming. This is the third book in the Finley O’Sullivan series and I definitely need to go back and read the first two. I don’t usually read a series out of order but reading this one definitely makes me want to read the others.
ALL THE LITTLE TRUTHS by Debra Webb is a book that can't be missed. The third installment of the Finley O'Sullivan series does not disappoint! Unsolved murder, a lead character that is relentless, and all the little secrets that come to light make this an unputdownable mystery you must go out and get. Her writing draws you in to the story from the first page.
I will be sad to see this character end. It has been a fun ride of mystery, secrets and lies, but it is one that seems to be wrapped up.Although all good things must come to and end, I would have loved to have more cases involving Finley starting her own agency.
Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for my advanced reader copy.

Finley O’Sullivan is back in Debra Webb’s third book of The Finley O'Sullivan Series called All The Little Truths. This book can definitely be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend you start from the beginning to enjoy the whole series!! Debra Webb gives us a heart pounding thriller you will not be able to put down. It is fast paced with well developed dynamic characters. She takes you on a roller coaster ride of twist and turns and ups and downs!!! Ms. Webb grabs you from the start while she strategically weaves murder, lies, deceit and a ton of danger. You be guessing from the start until that astonishing ending. Kudos Deb Webb, you are a fantastic storyteller!! This is my favorite of the series and cannot wait for next one!!!

Debra Webb has written another gritty, edgy story in the life of Finley O'Sullivan, former assistant DA and now investigator for her godfather Jack, top notch defense attorney and close friend. Life is looking up for Finley as she is seeing above the mess her life had become after the murder of her husband and her brutal attack. She is with her best friend and attorney Matt, and they are very happy. A cold case defending a local bad guy that the firm takes on brings twists, turns, mystery, and ugliness that hits close to home with people involved in the action-packed suspenseful case. As the title indicates, lots of people are keeping little truths but Fin is good at her job and works to uncover them. Lots of surprises and new beginnings with tying up loose ends are woven into this new book with a positive ending.
I received a copy for the purpose of an honest review. These are my thoughts.
All The Little Truths. Well I didn’t expect that coming at the end. I am a big Christmas celebrator and I may have just had to cry at that point in the hallway. Well anyway the writer took me on a ride of my life. It was almost like who’s on first? Who’s on second? It was that many people and then some who played the suspect part in a cold case that no one wanted to resurface. Finley was excellent with her skill sets from her glory days of being a DA, but it was Jack and a couple of old partners from the earlier days in crime fighting that dropped crumbs for Finley to find her quarry. I loved the nice touch with cat and dog. They gave Finley the stability of actually creating a home for her and Matt. I loved the fast pace mystery and the almost sleuth like investigator skills of Finley. Until next time my fellow readers. Read on!
A Cold Case Heats Up
Thirteen years ago, Lucy Cagle envisioned being an investigative reporter like her mother. She had made friends with a young man, and tonight, she would get the whole story of his family. She will learn all their secrets that had stayed hidden for decades. For her, nothing else mattered. When they sat in his car, instead of starting the car, he turned and stared at her. He said he was sorry. She felt a garrot tighten and cut off her air. The novel jumps to the present day when a handbag with Lucy Cagle’s driver’s license and four cigarette butts are discovered in a warehouse formally owned by the Sullivan family. The police want Ray Sullivan’s DNA for comparison. He is not worried about a positive match; he is afraid it might connect him to one of his youthful indiscretions. Ray Sullivan’s father asks Jack Finnegan, a lawyer who owes the father a favor, to stop the police collection of his son’s DNA. From this start, a long-hidden mystery is solved.
The protagonist is Finley O’Sullivan, who is an investigator for Jack Finnegan. The main storyline opens with O’Sullivan’s investigation to determine who killed Lucy Cagle. Ray Johnson states that he did not kill the girl. If O’Sullivan can find who the murderer is, that would negate the need for the DNA test. Many obstacles hinder O’Sullivan’s investigation. Soon after the murder, the younger brother of Ray Sullivan and Lucy Cagle’s mother go missing. The younger brother was at the top of the suspect list in the original investigation. A connection between Lucy Cagle and O’Sullivan’s father was also discovered. The biggest obstacle is that no one appears to be telling the truth or the whole truth. It took a little bit, but my interest was captured and maintained to the end.
Two threads provide information on Finley O’Sullivan’s character cross into the main storyline. The first is that she was a prosecutor who had a meltdown in court after a defendant attacked her and killed her husband. Her license was suspended. She wants to challenge the current district attorney in the upcoming election. The second thread is O’Sullivan’s helping her neighbor who suffers a heart attack. She lives alone with her dog, who needs to be fed and walked. O’Sullivan visits her daily. Her relationship with her parents and live-in boyfriend provides a solid insight into her character. This aspect of the novel enhanced my reading enjoyment of this novel.
The aspects of a novel that can cause some readers to stop reading are present in this novel. The characters use rude language much more than vulgar language. There is a much more significant amount of impious language. There are no intimate scenes. Except for the first chapter, most violence is less edgy after the fact than as it occurs. This novel is the third in the series. I have not read them and did not feel that there were holes in the storyline from not having read them.
I did not find anything that rubbed me the wrong way. I did enjoy that what I thought were background threads turned into main storyline threads. There were not any loose ends at the end of the novel. Lastly, I was happy with the ending. Two years ago, I read one previous novel by this author. I have purchased two more from that series. Based on my experience with these two novels, I have placed Debra Webb in my Will-Read category. I enjoyed reading this novel. If you like this genre, I do recommend reading this novel. I rate it with four stars.
I received a free prepublication e-book version of this novel through NetGalley from Thomas & Mercer. My review is based solely on my own reading experience of this book. Thank you, Thomas & Mercer, for the opportunity to read and review this novel early.
Lawyer, Finley O'Sullivan has an insatiable need to find the truth wherever it leads her. All the Little Truths by Debra Webb (2023) finds Finley working for her Godfather’s law firm as its investigator. A new client requires Finley to reinvestigate the disappearance of a missing teenager 13 years previously. Surprisingly, she discovers her own father had been involved in assisting the fifteen-year-old with her senior research paper. Finley will let nothing get in her way and her awareness of being lied to complicates the case in unforeseen ways. An enjoyable crime mystery with a somewhat saccharine ending and a three and a half stars read rating. With thanks to Thomas & Mercer and the author, for an uncorrected advanced review copy for review purposes. As always, the opinions herein are totally my own, freely given and without inducement.
Webb concludes the Finley O’Sullivan series in this third book and while the ending included an HEA, I will miss these characters. I have enjoyed this series immensely and it definitely goes out with a bang.
Finley O’Sullivan has not had a quiet life. If you’ve read the other books in the series you have full background. If this is your first book the author gives you enough background that the book can be read as a standalone. Finley is not a woman to be messed with and she proves again in this novel. This book has a great mix of police work, detective work, and personal relationships.
This book packs a gut punch in between the front and back cover. I found myself talking to the book and the characters like some sort of lunatic. This phenomenal mystery will knock your socks off from the beginning pages to the heart stopping finale. I thought my mind was going to combust as the twists just kept coming.
Finley O'Sullivan is a legal investigator who is no stranger to dealing with some questionable folks, but the newest case that she has been pulled into gives her the creeps. It is an unsolved murder of a young teenage girl that happened more than a decade ago. The case was ice cold until a piece of evidence was recently discovered. Ray Johnson is a suspect, and he needs their firm's legal expertise. Finley's spidey senses are tingling from the moment she meets him. This mystery is more strange and chilling than your usual murder because after this young girl's demise, other people started disappearing, including their Ray Johnson's brother and the girl's mother. Strange does not even begin to describe this case, and as Finley starts investigating, she will find out things she would rather not know. Finley makes it very clear up front that she does not care about a client's guilt or innocence. She only cares about finding out the truth. She chips away on a case and the people involved until she finds a chip, then she hammers away at the chip until the whole ugly truth is revealed. She is a bulldog investigator who has a very painful past that she is still reeling from, but this does not stop her from being who she is. Finley is definitely someone I would want in my corner in a fight because she is driven and tenacious.
This story was mind boggling. I am still sitting here in shock. Wow! Debra Webb is a crafty mystery novelist who will play with your emotions and have your mind scrambled as each layer of deceit is pulled back and you find another secret revealed. Can I just say wow again? Bring your A game when you read this book and try to solve the mystery.
Thank you to Thomas and Mercer and the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
All the Little Truths by D. Webb, published by Thomas & Mercer, is the third book in the Finley O'Sullivan Series.
Finley is an investigator and herv latest client has a real bad reputation. Only she believes him not so guilty like the police departement. She's not sure about him and discovers new clues, old secrets, dangerous hidden seams.
I read and loved the previous books in the series, and I was anticipating this book as well.
A fantastic read, eyquisit and outstanding.
All the Little Truths is a complex, complicated, chilling, fast paced thriller where nothing is as it seems, literally nothing.
Well written with a story and characters easy to connect with is this an exquisit read that had me in suspense from start till the very last page.

I loved this story. Finley is a great character. And i really enjoy her relationship with Matt. The case is full of twists. I figured a couple things out early, but it didn't take away from the story which I appreciate. However, there were still a couple of jaw droppers. Not to mention things happen that have me excited to see where things will go from here. This author is a must read and this series is a great example of why.
