I loved this book. You had me Debra. I was sure how it would end, but I would have never guessed.
You never seem to disappoint your readers, with all the twists and turns.WOW.
Great job Debra! Love to see where you next book takes your readers
A young girl is murdered, her mother disappears, then the brother of the accused killer disappears. The guilty party is sent to prison. End of story, right? Not so. Legal investigator Finley O’Sullivan is tasked with determining if Ray Johnson was indeed the murderer. But can Finley uncover the truth without losing her own life? There are still people out there who don't want the truth to come out.
Mob connections, danger, twists, turns, surprises. An exciting thriller.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
All the Little Truths may be the third book in this series but it is the first for me to have read. Part of the Finley O’Sullivan Series by Debra Webb it has a strong, smart and determined legal investigator on a cold case that affects more than one currently. This thriller is intense, intricately plot and well done. Not having read the previous two books did not hinder my following along of this case. Any backstory needed to be given on Finley O’Sullivan was fully revealed as you read.
Count on plenty of suspense, action, twisty turns, surprises, and a clear resolution. Nail biting at times but not entirely so the pace gave you a chance to breath. All the Little Truths made a believer out of me to read more of this series.
An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Legal investigator Finley O'Sullivan is back asked to help defend a shady client. Who Nashville police are trying to pin a murder on.
But in order to defend him Finley needs to solve a complicated cold case involving the murder of a teenager closely followed by the disappearance of her clients brother and then the teenagers mother.
Which Finley sees as a massive coincidence and one that is linked and she's determined to prove it.
However, she's in a race against time. As there are certain people determined to make sure the surrounding the murder and disappearance remain buried. No matter the cost.
And with plenty of twists and deception. This was an enjoyable and thrilling read. That I'd happily recommend to others.
ALL THE LITTLE TRUTHS
by Debra Webb
Release date November 7, 2023
This is the third book in the Finley O’Sullivan series. However, it can be read as a standalone. But if you do want to catch up, the first book is.
THE LAST LIE TOLD
THE NATURE OF SECRETS is the second book.
Finley O’Sullivan is a legal investigator who is now working on a 13-year-old cold case. She has been asked to help her uncle Jack and his law firm. She is not happy about the man that they are asking her to help defend.
This book has many twists and turns. Suspense, plenty of action, a lot of questions. But it does get wrapped up at the end. Sit back and enjoy.
Thank you Debra Webb for making me a part of your street team.
I'm not sure if it is because I hadn't read the prior 2 books in the series but I was not a fan of this book at all! I don't think that is the case though considering the details of the previous books were constantly being brought up in this book. I felt boring and predictable and I struggled through most of the story. I only truly liked the story when it got to the last probably 75% of the book. I considered DNFing because the story was not much of a thriller to me.
2.5 star rating, thanks to Netgalley for a free copy in exchange for my honest review.
Finley O’Sullivan is a kick butt and take no prisoners private investigator and lawyer. She wants all the truth, but first she had to methodically weed through the lies. She’s my favorite character in the series because she is damaged but refuses to be broken, vulnerable but not weak, intelligent and intuitive. In the latest Finley novel by Debra Webb, Finley has to try to solve a cold case of a murder and a disappearance that are over a decade old. Lucy Cagle was an intrepid high school student, determined to investigate a crime syndicate and expose the bad guys just like her famous reporter mom did. But Lucy was killed and her murderer was never found. At the same time, Ian Johnson, a younger son in the Johnson crime family, disappeared, never to be seen again. Now it is up to Finley to find out if the two events are related and if so, how since she is helping her employer Jack investigate Ray Johnson for an impending case against him. There are a lot of very satisfying twists in this novel that had me wondering just where the story was going and how it was going to get there. But author Debra Webb never disappoints in weaving a tale that is complicated and that stimulates my imagination as it keeps me mesmerized in the story and the characters. Each character contributed to the story and none was more evident than Finley’s unassuming and kind-hearted father who apparently knew something about Lucy that he wasn’t sharing. I loved the dynamics of the characters and how Finley had to prod and poke at them to get to the truth. This is a book with breath-stopping suspense and sharp, addictive writing that kept me reading and guessing all the way to the end. With well-crafted and cleverly written twists, this book is absolutely brilliant and one of the best suspense books that I have ever read! With a compelling and multi-layered mystery, this novel had me intrigued, only willing to put the book down once I had reached the satisfying conclusion.

This is the latest installment to the Finley O’Sullivan series that I discovered recently. I have quite a few of Webb’s books on my to-read list and I don’t know why it took me so long to actually read one. Webb is a good writer and storyteller. I will definitely be reading more of her work.
First, I want to point out an error in the book summary; the death of Lucy Cagle was 13yrs ago not 17yrs. Yeah, I know, a minor error but it’s still an error. Inaccurate book summaries are kind of a pet peeve of mine. They are basically written by the publisher, which GR just pulls from their website so I don’t fault writers or GR for inaccurate book summaries. That’s the publisher’s responsibility.
Anyway, the book summary lays out the premise for the primary storyline so I’m not going to repeat it here. What the book summary doesn’t mention is that Ray Johnson is the oldest son of the local mob boss. Ray is the smart and ruthless son while his younger brother, Ian, was the sweet, kind of stupid %^&)-up son, who was favored by mob daddy. The book summary also doesn’t mention the death of Lucy’s father a month after her death and the day before the disappearance of Lucy’s mother, Louise (aka Lou). Lou was an investigative journalist writing a story on human trafficking at the time of her disappearance.
There is also a secondary storyline about Carson Dempsey, who is still under house arrest, passport revoked and accounts frozen, and awaiting trial, and who has someone following Finley and is probably still trying to kill her. This storyline is a carry-over from the first two installments, thus not making this installment not a good standalone. You really need to read the series from the beginning. There is a mention of why there is this war between Finley and Dempsey, but one or two sentences DO NOT even touch on the extent of their hatred for each other. There is sooo much more going on in that feud.
There is another secondary storyline where Finley’s neighbor, Helen, suffers a heart attack and Finley finds her. Afterwards, she visits Helen in the hospital and takes care of her dog, Spot. In doing so, she begins to find Helen’s living situation a little confusing. At this point, I too am finding something suspicious about Helen. Throughout the series, Helen has been the stereotypical nosy, busybody, neighbor and, at this point, something about her becomes a little more suspicious, at least to me.
Most of the story revolves around Finley investigating the 13yr old cold case as well as the new evidence that was discovered. When she starts interviewing the same people that were interviewed 13yrs ago, they start revealing new info. Finley is suspicious of all the new info; it all seems so “convenient” almost like someone is creating and planting all of it. At this point, I’m pretty clueless. Well into the second half, Webb reveals a major twist! DID NOT SEE THAT ONE COMING!!! Love when an author can do that to me! The end comes fast after that in another scary and deadly scene for Finley. The ending was very satisfying and I look forward to the next installment.
The title was very fitting. There were so many little truths out there from different sources that once Finley discovered them and put them together, everything fell into place. I want to thank NetGalley and Thomas Mercer for sending me this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is my first experience with Debra Webb. I had heard great things. However, the first few chapters consist of lazy description of how wonderful and skilled and effective Jack and Finley are at their jobs, I found myself just not caring. Some examples of directly bragging about how awesome her characters are:
“Finding the truth was sort of Finley’s specialty. She did so often, even when their clients would prefer she didn’t.” (Webb 6%)
“Jack Finnegan, her godfather, owned this law firm. He was one of the top criminal defense attorneys—if not the top—in the Southeast.”(4%)
I prefer writers show instead of tell and these kind of descriptions get old really fast. That being said, I did not read past 15%.
Thank you to NetGalley for letting me sample this books in exchange for my honest review. I very much hope the author’s writing is better in her other books.
Finlay is able to practice law again but has settled in to her role as an investigator for her Uncle Jack. However, that comes with the baggage of his previous somewhat potentially shady dealings and relationships. And at points I felt like there were too many connections between characters. Balancing out that is her relationship with Matt, best friend turned lover, and how to enjoy that without feeling guilty about Derrick. There is a lot going on in this book. It almost felt like it had two whole entire stories merged within its pages. Both of them have me wondering where the series and Finlay are headed next. I'll be waiting!
I think this book has potential, however at 36% I am considering this a DNF. I didn't realize when I requested it that this is #3 in a series (it wasn't mentioned in the title or description on NetGalley). I figured it out when I went to Goodreads, confused on what happened to the main character's husband and the injuries she mentioned having from that as well. It seems like I missed A LOT of information about what happened to her and her motivations for wanting to become DA. Unfortunately, I wouldn't call this a stand-alone novel, so maybe if I have the time to read the first two in the series I can come back to this one at a later date.
This is book 3 and I definitely recommend you read the previous 2 books in the series as there are continuing storylines from these books.
In ‘All The Little Truths’ Finley O’Sullivan has finally dealt with the demons of her past and is moving on with her life. Her latest case for the law firm involves a client who a has been charged with a murder that is nearly twenty years old. The more Finley investigates, the more odd things she discovers. People disappearing, evidence that is years old miraculously appearing. It’s up to Finley to sort out the truth from the fiction before it’s too late.
I really enjoyed ‘All The Little Truths’. I had honestly thought that the previous book in the series ‘The Nature Of Secrets’ was the final book in the series, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out there was going to be a third book and even more so to receive an ARC of it. ‘All The Little Truths’ was a well developed suspense novel. This book was exactly what I expect from a Debra Webb novel. A well developed, compelling, mystery thriller. 4 stars
Delectable angst around every corner! Debra Webb is pulling our heartstrings in several directions as we work with Finley O'Sullivan to solve a cold case that has ties to those close to her as we also get further unraveling of her past and confirmation of her future. I have loved this series and always get hooked on the case playing out in each book. The characters are riveting, the danger is exciting and the human interest part of Finley's private relationships is always entertaining. I recommend reading this series in order because each book builds on what has been uncovered in the past and some nuances will be hard to pick up if you don't have all of the details.
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that enjoys a classic whodunnit with lots of danger and drama circling the main characters as secrets are uncovered and relationships are tested.
Finlay O'Sullivan has finally found peace in the death of her husband, and has been able to move on in her life, when the neighbor's attack throws her life back into chaos. Led to solving a decade's old cold case, once again the reader is cheering for Finlay. Debra Webb knows how to keep the reader on the edge of their seat!
Debra Webb is one of the authors I will read anything she writes. I love her books, characters and suspenseful writing. All the Little Truths is just that. Even though this is the 3rd book in a series you don't need to read them in order but why wouldn't you, they are all worth reading and so enjoyable you just can't put them down. Finley O'Sullivan is racing to solve a 13 year old murder. Finley is working with her Godfather, Jack to uncover the truth of this murder and find out if Jack's new client is guilty or if he is telling the truth he didn't murder the young girl. Finley is desperate to find the truth no matter what. You will not be disappointed. This is another great book you just can't put down until you know the truth. You won't see it coming. Thank you Net Galley and Debra Webb for the ARC for my honest opinion. I can't wait to see what you write next.
A few years ago I read my first book by Debra Webb, Frozen Ground, part of a winter series. I enjoyed it very much. In fact, maybe as well as the Finley O’Sullivan series. With this third in that series, I find myself really happy for Finley, as her life seems to be settling down.
This particular story involves many twists and turns. Some a bit more surprising than others, but all important and tied into events really well. I especially loved the characters this book, Mrs. Roberts, Finley’s father, Jack and even the bad guys. All have a great place in the storyline.
I have noticed that the Finley series books lag a bit toward the middle. It seems the story takes a beat and then picks back up. Still a good read.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC and the chance to offer my thoughts.
Thank you NetGalley and Debra Webb for the ARC of All the Little Truths that I read and reviewed.
All the Little Truths is the third book in the Finley O’Sullivan series and I can honestly say I had most of the book figured out pretty quickly. So either I have read too many Debra Webb books or she made this one way too easy. I am going with this one was way too easy because you can never read too many of Webb’s books.
Even though I figured things out it was fun to race to the finish to be sure I was right. It was also interesting to see why some of the people did what they did to make everything work out the way they did. Overall, this was an interesting book for me not just with the mystery part but why people acted like they did.
I am giving the book five out of five stars.
There were so many different layers going on in this book it was hard to know where to look! Finley’s personal life was a hot mess, her work life was chaotic, and somehow there kept being overlaps between the two that nobody would talk about.
Finley is clearly a talented investigator, but she also a) trusts the wrong people/doesn’t trust the right people and let’s things go way too easily, and b) apparently is like, super bad with faces. Iykyk 😂
There were bursts of action followed by slower exposition, which kept it from being too chaotic but also felt a little slow at times. Things did get wrapped up nicely, which was a relief with so many loose strings to follow throughout!
This would be a good read for those who don’t love a lot of graphic imagery in their mysteries/thrillers - it’s not quite “cozy” but it’s also not gore-y!
This is another good one from this author who is a master at plot and characters. She has the ability to keep you guessing till the end while leading you to be invested in the characters.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review the book
This is such a great series! Finley is a strong character who has endured a lot but always keeps on fighting. I have really enjoyed seeing the overall story of this series as well as each individual case. Finding the truth about what happened to Lucy isn't easy since everyone, including Finley's own father, is lying to her. There are many surprising twists, and I was shocked by the reveals near the end. I'm glad to see Finley is moving on and finding happiness again. Hopefully this series continues because I would love to see these characters again. I highly recommend this whole series! 5 stars!
Thank you NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for the ARC!
