With the murder of his boss's wife at a party for a minor Royal, the pressure is on for Teddy to solve the mystery while keeping the Princess safe. With the arrival of Cat, a person from his past and the struggles with his present family, Teddy manages to solve it all. The setting is lovely and the characters are very enjoyable.

Did the Deputy Commissioner really kill his wife during a reception for visiting British royalty to Tortola? That's the problem Constable Teddy Creque is facing in this fourth in a light hearted series set in the Caribbean. Teddy has to solve the murder, absolve his boss, and protect the royals, all while maintaining a good relationship with his wife, Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. It's entertaining and entirely enjoyable as a standalone.

Teddy has to arrest his confused boss and then try to understand what happened. To do so he must interrogate the Princess and her new husband. But will they be willing to say what they saw? Is Teddy's boss guilty? If not who killed Mrs. Lane and why? Teddy's work is made more complicated when he learns that his boss has had a mistress for sometime.
A good series that helps you escape to sunny laid back islands. This is the 4th book in the series. Highly recommended.

Tropical Murder..
The fourth entry in the Teddy Creque Mystery series finds the constable with a murder case on his hands - one committed during a British royal reception. Just as Teddy thought that the evening couldn’t run any more smoothly, the peace is shattered by a shot - with people missing and the event in chaos, can Teddy pull through to save the day? With its’ beautiful tropical island setting and a cast of deftly drawn characters, this is another engaging and enjoyable mystery with twists and turns aplenty and a lively narrative. A worthy addition to the series to date.

Reefs, Royals, Reckonings is the fourth novel in the Constable Teddy Creque mystery series. A murder is committed during a British royal reception for Princess Portia and her new husband. When Teddy's boss, deputy commissioner Howard Lane becomes the main suspect in the murder, Teddy pulls out all the stops to clear him. This was the first book I've read in this series and it had me hooked from page one. I liked the authors style of writing, the small island setting and the quirky characters. I' look forward to reading the next book in this addictive series. Thank you for the ARC netgalley.
