From the cover design and title, I thought this looked and sounded like my kind of book.
When I came to read this, I felt there was something eerie and sinister about it, but at the same time, it felt quite comforting to read, and had a kind of cosy quality that I appreciated. There was also a timeslip element, with part of the story being set in the 1940s, and part of it being set in the present day. That type of book will always interest me because I like to follow and compare both narratives. If you like cosy mysteries or historical mysteries, you might like this.
