Amnesia plots are my personal catnip! I know it can be a bit devisive as far as tropes go, but I just love them.

Stacy Reid doing an amnesia plot was like a little trope miracle just for me.

I loved this book! I've previously praised her MMCs for their emotional intelligence... Daniel is not that guy. 😂 He's an emotional idiot, but you love him anyway. It takes him forever to understand his feelings, but when he does, he acts on them immediately.

Georgianna is easy to relate to despite the fact she blurts out this amnesiac is her husband. (The way it comes about makes it a bit more understandable). Her yearning to have the life she falls into with her pretend husband is tangible.

There was some great banter, cooking, a hero getting chased by various animals, and a whole lot of longing.

Stacy Reid is by far and away my favorite historical romance author. Her storytelling is lush and always pulls me in. While this wasn’t my favorite of hers, I still enjoyed it immensely. The characters came to life on page.

This book made me feel so much and made me cry in the middle of the night. As a poor woman, just like Georgianna, her story with Daniel really hit close to home and I just wished I had my own Daniel. 😭 Stacy Reid is really impeccable with giving the characters depth, personalities, and motivations. Both Georgianna and Daniel's voices, as well as the side characters', were so distinct and true to their characters.

I love how the losing of memory situation was incorporated in the story and how the angst and fun was balanced really well. This is another favorite from the author for me and I highly recommend!

I had so many mixed feelings while reading this book. At the beginning it was funny and interesting, the middle made me want to give the main character a facer and the other third part it was lovely. What I would probably change is the description of the book. It actually makes you relate this story to the two different movies in Hollywood with the same plot. It sort of makes it looks like an other version of the same story but adapted to a regency period which is not quite right.
I personally loved this story.and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book 2 in the unforgettable love series. I really couldn’t remember book 1 so I guess you really did not need it to follow this one. I did really enjoy the story it reminded me of an historical version of the movie Overboard. This was a fun read.

This story was top flight entertainment for me. It is impossible not to draw similarities between the story and the movie "Overboard" but while it does follow a very general path it is original because to the 2 people and the family involved. Our hero is a bit of a jerk and our heroine is in a bit of a desperate situation financially (somewhat due to the Earl) so when she is given an opportunity at revenge, she takes it. You will love the story and while the ending does not have the great scene where they both jump into the ocean; I think you will love the ending of this one. 4 Stars and not 5 mainly due to the writing being somewhat verbose in places but still highly recommended.

Such a beautiful love story! And entertaining too! Georgianna and Daniel have the secret sauce in their relationship… humor! I love their interactions with each other as well as with the animals in the story. Very fun book. It had me hooked from the beginning.

received a free copy of this book from the author. The thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.5 star! I wish i liked it more. The 3/4 of the book was sensational, amnesia with revenge trope but it was not enough angst and grovelling, IMO!
Let me tell you what i like, Daniel was an asshole but i still like him, he was fun, he adore's Georgina or George sisters! I just love the way he interact with Anna, Sarah, Hetty the chicken and Nellie the cow! His amnesia story line was funny and entertaining.
But i think the one that takes the cake is Georgina, such an amazing character, she's a chef trying to provide a better life for her sisters after their parents' death. She plans to write a cook book and she has big ambition for herself and her sisters. I Love that Daniel could appreciate who George is and see how hard she works to take care of her family.
Their meet & cute was delicious as yummy as the meals cooked by George.
What i didn't like was, i wished he groveled more and George was more angsty. i usually love Stacy Reid's angst as she writes one of my favourite series, Wedded by scandal series. I feel that A Matter of Temptation was better!
However i wished i like it more as i said but will still recommend it to those who love amnesia trope and historicals with children and bluestocking FMC who rocks the world especially that can cook meals all over the world, without even travelling!
Thanks Netgalley and Entangled for the arc review, all thoughts are my own!

OMG, I don't really like the amnesia plus revenge trope but this was great!!!! I knew taking a chance on Stacy Reid would pay off.

I adored Daniel! I mean, he was a total donkey's butt in the beginning but his transformation was wonderful. He did revert back to said donkey's butt for a bit but it all worked out in the end.

Georgie was a woman on a mission to take care of her family and no one was getting in her way. I loved her devotion to her sisters.

This book was at times laugh out loud funny and a tear-jerker. I just loved how Daniel and Georgie got to know one another and made their little "family" work. Hetty was a hoot too.

I'm going out on a limb here to say this is my favorite read of the year so far.

I love everything Stacy Reid writes, and I loved the movie “Overboard” as a child, and so it was easy to love “An Earl to Remember” – the second entry in the ‘Unforgettable Love’ series by the author.

This is a true stand-alone series; it is unnecessary to read “A Matter of Temptation” first, although a few of the characters do make an appearance in this book. I think I may have liked the initial novel a little bit better, but Stacy Reid rarely writes anything I dislike so any book preferences are personal preference.

Daniel Rutherford, the Earl of Stannis loses his memory when falling overboard and ends up residing with Miss Georgianna Heyford, who is forced to claim him as her husband. To say anything more would be to spoil the fun of this plot and how the story unfolds.

One of the things I love about Stacy Reid is her ability to create strong female main characters who are sympathetic and relatable. Georgianna has a gift for cooking and would like to become a chef; the resolution of her dreams with the romantic plot are done in a manner that does not feel as though she is sacrificing her ambitions for a spouse.

What I love most about Stacy Reid is her ability to take a (sometimes) tired genre of historical romance and make the stories feel fresh and engaging. I love historical romance – I love the predictability of tropes and plot devices and narrative structures; I love having my happily-ever-afters. What I especially appreciate about Stacy Reid is that I often find myself completely believing the couple will not be able to overcome the conflict that keeps them apart in her books. This is an incredibly hard thing to do when the reader knows the couple will triumph in the end, but this author describes interior dialogue and emotion so well and it is the combination of external forces and personal understanding that creates the best angst and best emotional payoff.

Another great book by my favourite historical romance author.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley, but the review is my own.

What a treat. I got invited to review Stacy's new book and was excited as she is one of my all-time top authors. I went to record it in my spreadsheet and was shocked to see that I had somehow missed book 1 in the Unforgettable Love series. This is the treat part as I downloaded A Matter of Temptation and read that first, then An Earl to Remember. They don't need to be read together but I would recommend it.
Stacy Reid has the ability to make me feel that time has stopped and is patiently waiting for me to take my time and revel in the story. Her writing is special. The mix of 'heat' with history has me hooked. A love story with accurate historical details shows how much time and effort she puts into creating her tale and I always feel honoured that she is happy to share it with me. I love her strong females and how they capture their HEA's by being themselves.
Daniel is an arrogant, entitled Earl who I liked from the very beginning and Georgianna is capable, hardworking and selfless in her new position as head of her family. I loved the movie 'Overboard' with Goldie Hawn, so this story was perfect as I enjoyed his memory loss, hard manual labour and protection of her family just as much.
I wanted more, I never wanted the story to end and am looking forward to the next one as Stacy brings snippets back in each book of the series as the men are all friends. I have read 39 of Ms Reid's books and loved every single one. She has a gift for storytelling and I am so grateful that I get enjoy it.

*****5 Stars!

“Only with your hands clasped in mine, Georgianna, enjoying this life, will living be worthwhile.”

First I would like to thank Entangled Publishing, LLC and NetGalley for allowing me to read an arc of this amazing book! I am honored to be given the chance to read it and give it an honest review.

An Earl To Remember is about Miss Georgianna Heyford who is the caretaker of her three sisters and a passionate chef. She is invited to work as a cook on the Earl of Stannis’s luxurious yacht, though she is very much aware of the rumors about the earl’s exceptional charm and good looks. A terrible misunderstanding leaves Georgianna fired, furious and with a little recompense. Which is precisely when her opportunity for vengeance washes ashore.

Daniel Rutherford, the Earl of Stannis, has absolutely no memory of who he is. They tell him that he must have fallen overboard, and the only person he can seem to recognize is the lovely Georgianna--who strikes a familiar chord. Only now this inelegant, poorly dressed woman claims to be his wife!

But the truth is, Georgianna is finally getting her revenge. The dashing earl will work off the money he owes her and no one would be the wiser. Expect the longer he stays with her and her younger sisters, the more it feels like he belongs there. And that perhaps he’d find a forever place in Georgianna’s heart…at least until his memory returns.

I absolutely adored this book! The moment I started it, I couldn’t seem to put it down and devoured it in one sitting! The entire time I found myself on the edge of my seat, desperate to find out what was going to happen next and where the characters were going to find themselves! Not only was this book absolutely addicting, but it was also very amusing as well. There were many times I couldn’t help but laugh, especially imagining a handsome earl being chased by an irritable hen!

I really enjoyed the dynamic between the two characters, Daniel and Georgianna. I liked watching them both grow as the romantic tension built up slowly between them. I also adored Daniel’s affection and protectiveness towards her younger sisters, that was far too adorable! There were so many sides to both characters and it was very fun to be able to explore that.

I also loved the theme of this book! It gave me such Overboard vibes, which is a movie I really liked! Each time Georgianna's tangled web of lies seemed to grow, the more intense the story became and you could not help but wonder what Daniel would think when his memories returned to him.

I absolutely adore Stacy Reid’s writing and each and every book I’ve read of hers never disappoints! This is a book I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for a swoon-worthy historical romance filled with tension and wonderful humor! I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future! She has definitely become one of my favorite romance authors!

Another winner from Stacy Reid. From the day I discovered her work, I became an instant fan. "An Earl to Remember", for me, is another instant hit. Reid gives the plot from the movie 'Overboard' a twist. In the book. Rather than the wealthy woman losing her memory, it is the wealthy man - Daniel Rutherford, Earl of Stannis - who loses his memory after being pushed overboard his yacht.

Washing ashore in the small village of Crandell, he winds up in the local doctor's office. Who should appear? The one person he remembers on sight (and smell) - Georgianna Eleanor Heyford, the young woman who worked on his yacht 1 night as chef. She was fired after being caught in a compromising position with Daniel by his mistress. When Daniel makes some rather shocking statements about him and Georgianna, she blurts out they're married. While expedient in the moment, she later sees it as a chance for revenge. She has David working for her and her sisters from sun-up to sundown, but what neither one of them count on is the connection that shimmers between them.

Of course, Daniel gets his memory back and is understandably upset at what Georgianna did to him. Yet, he's not angry enough to brutally cut her and her sisters out of life. And when he finally admits he's in love with her, he literally chases her down to tell her of his love for her,,,,and when she reciprocates, all ends well.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a joy to read...watching the passion between Daniel and Georgianna, the affection that Daniel developed for her siblings, and the animals who were a hoot and then some. I look forward to reading more from this so very talented author. She never disappoints. Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for this advanced copy, which I voluntarily read and reviewed.

👩‍🍳Book review👩‍🍳

I absolutely loved book 1 in this series and got so excited when I was asked to review this one.

The plot was original and bonkers and I was so entertained and couldn’t put it down. The ending was what really didn’t work for me, I thought it was too rushed and that the hero didn’t sit with his feelings long enough after deciding he wanted the heroine forever.

Read if you love:
🧠 Amnesia: hero is thrown out of his yacht by his mistress (accident) and ends up in a small village where the heroine is from
👩‍🍳 The heroine was catering to his yacht party but got fired (long story)
👀 When he sees her he remembers that they know each other and she decided to tell him that they’re married (to save her reputation)

Listen if this can’t convince you to read it, I don’t know what can. Despite the ending, I was so entertained and couldn’t put it down🧡

It's a book by Stacy, that's self-explanatory for anyone who's a fan of hers! Another cute story, with strong characters that develop along the way and show their real value.
As the author herself wrote on goodreads, it really has more humor. The part where Daniel runs away from the chicken is hilarious and I laughed out loud.
Another super positive point is FMC, Georgie, she is an almost self-taught chef and I saw myself in her because I also love to cook. After all, food, the act of preparing food, is a gesture of love. And Georgie put love on her plates.
Daniel, even out of memory, had that arrogance of every aristocratic hero we love and at the same time we would like to slap him in the face to see if he wakes up to life and realizes the treasure that is right in front of him. I thought it was great that when he comes back to his life he realizes that he feels empty without Georgie and her sisters. He only hesitated because he asked her to be his lover and only later realized that he loved her and wanted her as his wife. Running after her wearing only one shoe helped redeem.
Part of a series, characters from the first book make a brief appearance, but it can be read as a standalone. Waiting for the third book.
Thank you, dear Mrs. Reid, for another book.
I received an arc from netgalley.

I loved the premise of this story. A female chef, a caterer, a woman trying to make her own way in the world. Georgie is responsible for her 3 younger sisters. Her parents died weeks apart, leaving her responsible. She is doing what she knows and loves best, cooking. When she gets a job to cook on the yacht for Earl, she was thrilled. The money would see them thru for a year.
Daniel, the Earl of Stannis, is very bored with his life. Nothing seems to make him happy. He takes his position as Earl and his responsibility seriously but is getting bored with his rakish life. When his mistress suggests that they bring in others to spice up things, he agrees.
When Georgie brings in the food requestes by the Earls guests, Daniel thinks Georgie is the other person his mistress is talking about. He is intrigued by her and her innocence. He kisses her when his mistress walks in and is enraged by what she sees.
The end result is Georgie gets fired and paid a tenth of her promised salary and is escorted from the boat.
Daniel and his mistress get into a huge fight, where she shoves him and he hits his head as he goes overboard.
When he is found on shore , he has no memory. The only person he seems to know is Georgie. He remembers kissing her and announces this to everyone. So Georgie in order to protect her reputation, announces that they are married.
And so starts a whole new life for the Earl.
I loved both characters. The story flowed easily.
I'm just not crazy about the storyline. Loss of memory means someone knows the truth and is constantly lying. Eventually the other show is going to drop and someone is going to be hurt. Not my favorite storyline.
4⭐⭐⭐⭐

I haven't read a historical with amnesia plot before so I was really excited to read this one! I personally had a hard time with the hero's redemption at the end, I'm just not sure it was as forgivable. It could be because I had trouble connecting with his character from the beginning. I did love Georgianna throughout, mainly her strength and perseverance. Definitely a good read, but I just wanted a bit more from the hero.

This was a big YES for me.

I love the premise of this story. I loved the way they fell in love ( I might have claimed the Earl as my new book boyfriend). And I 100% believed in them as a couple.

To me, a good romance is one where I feel the couples changing and falling in love slowly as the plot unfolds. This ticked all the boxes.

The Earl showed himself to be a truly good person (in all circumstances) and that endeared him to me. This is a wonderful and a bit different of a historical romance.

Highly recommend!

This is an astounding story that was extremely difficult to put down. It is one of those books that stay with you and give a roller coaster of emotions. Daniel is an arse to the max and Georgianna is not going to take it. She exacts revenge after not being dealt with fairly and the resulting story brings love, heartache, pain and laughter into the mix. I loved reading the part of Daniel’s meeting with Hetty and Nellie was funny too! Be sure to have time to read this in one sitting as, I promise, if you have to put it down to go to sleep, you will NOT sleep! The climax with Lady Katherine was very witty, especially with her mother. I do so love it when people stand up to hypocritical people!

I received this I ARC copy for free and these are my own opinions

A captivating, romantic story that pulls you in and holds you until the last page! An Earl to Remember by Stacy Reid is the second book in her Unforgettable Love Books series. I have read both books and while each is a stand alone book they have characters that are shared. This makes the stories so much more interesting. This book is about Georgina, a country miss who likes to cook, and Lord Daniel Rutherford, Earl of Stannis, a rake of the highest order. When Daniel loses his memory, "Georgie" proclaims they are husband and wife. This story has humor, romance, passion and affection. The only thing I didn't care for was the explicit sex but I realize that was part of the characterization. Maybe it could be toned down some. Other than that this is a great story and a quick read.
