An Earl to Remember by Stacy Reid is the second book of the Unforgettable Love Series and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! ❤️

Miss Georgianna Heyford gets the fabulous opportunity to cater the luxurious yacht party of Daniel Rutherford, the Earl of Stannis. His reputation precedes him for sure and a misunderstanding leads to an angry Georgianna and an Earl without any memories... but why does he remembers Georgianna Heyford? Why does she look so familiar? How did he fall overboard?
Georgianna can't help herself and takes the chance for revenge... but sometimes not everything goes as planned...

I loooooove Stacy Reid and her books!
Of course this one wasn't an exception!
This book felt like a historical version of the movie Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell! Fantastic!
I loved the chemistry between Georgianna and Daniel! Right from the first time they saw each other on the yacht... O.M.G.!!!
PERFECTION! I got goosebumps everywhere! 😳😍
Their storyline was so enjoyable because there's this spark at first, then the attraction but also some kind of dislike for each other... and everything after that!
Awwwwwww! 😍❤️😍❤️
I LOVED EVERYTHING! EVERY LITTLE THING!
Daniel sometimes seems to be the arrogant and handsome Earl, who also knows that he has all the power. BUUUUT he's soooo much more! And spending time with Georgianna makes him realise what's important in life!
😊😊😊😊 Awwww! Be still my beating heart!!!
And Georgianna?! A strong woman who takes care of herself and her younger sisters! Inspiring!
Well, and please let me appreciate the sizzling passion between them! WOW! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

An Earl to Remember is a historical romance with an amnesia, hate-to-love trope. Full of humour, some drama, sexy times and so much more!
I really really really loved this book! 😍

Historical romance meets Overboard! If you've seen the 1987 movie, then you will clearly see the outline of the plot and the direction it will go all laid out before you. I am a fan of the movie and I liked seeing how Reid played with the same plot in a different time period. It worked well overall, and made for some good tension and a nice opportunity for the hero to see life on the other side of the fence.

What did not work as well for me was the character development. The hero is an extreme version of a rake. He reminded me of some old school heroes-unapologetic, cold, selfish, profligate rakes who only care for their own selfish desires. This hero can work beautifully in a romance if he makes big changes and becomes more introspective in regards to his behaviors and mindset. I do not think that Daniel Rutherford, the Earl of Stannis, made those kinds of leaps internally-there just was not enough time paid to his development and the change of character needed to make his reformation believable.

Miss Georgianna Heyford was a lovely heroine. I adored how Reid crafted her as a woman who cared for her sisters and made her passion for cooking a priority. There was a bit of body betrayal when around Daniel at the beginning that didn't entirely feed into her strength of character, but she had moments when she stood up to his overbearing and entitled ways that made me root for her to take care of herself first and foremost.

This romance was not believable to me. It has the potential for something to develop and grow, but I was not wild about the hero and I don't think he was redeemed enough for my enjoyment. With that said, I am also taking into account that the author was going through an extremely stressful time in her personal life and she wrote this in a different vein than her former works. While this form that her writing took did not work well for me, I believe some will enjoy this nostalgic revenge plot with an endearing heroine.

A rake that finds himself with amnesia among delicious food and women (or woman 😏 )

⭐⭐⭐⭐ of 5
🍆🍆 of 5
Thank NetGalley for the ARC

~ After a kiss he could not forget Daniel find himself with no memories. Until he sees the woman from his only memory!

~ Georgie, cannot believe that the Earl that made unsolicited advances on her while catering in his yacht and fired her without properly paying her, is now saying out loud that he remembers her in his bed! The only thing she thinks to say without being compromised is: "You are my husband!"

~ What a sweet family of sisters! I just feel in love with all 4, specially the little too. Let's not forget the chicken and the cow 😂

~ Will Georgie make him pay for the money owned in labor chores around the house... maybe! What a fun story!

~ I loved how I was transporter by Stacy Reid's prose into actual British regency era.

~ I think I found another favorite historical romance author! Yay!

‘I want to run… so far away from you, my lord, but I also want to run into your arms’

Oh boy oh boy this was good, Stacy Reid second installment in her unforgettable Love series.
This spicy Victorian romp that has nods to the Rom-Com movie, Overboard, was just what I needed. Bad boy Daniel Rutherford, Earl of Stannis is a true rake in all sense of word. Miss Georgianna Eleanor Heyford, is a financially distraught heroine. After the death of their father, the eldest of four sisters, Georgianna will do anything to keep her sister safe and together. She has high hopes when she takes a cooking job for an Earl, who’s debauchery know no bounds. In a series of events, she finds herself mistaken for someone else, and not compensated for her work.
In twist of fate, she finds her predicament changed, when said Earl is pushed overboard and washes up on her village’s shoreline. This is where the book really takes off.
One I started reading this book I was hooked, and loved every minute of it! The storyline and writing was so good. The angst and heated romance was perfect

STANDING OVATION AND SLOW CLAP AS BOOK COMES TO AN END. THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE, FOLKS!!!

Daniel is an earl, and a serious rake! One evening he holds a fancy party for his mistress aboard his yacht. It is during this event that he becomes intrigued by Georgianna, who is, unbeknownst to him, the chef he hired to cater the party. Georgianna wants to become a successful chef, and has no interest in Daniel's advances. When he fires her, she leaves in a huff, incensed that he refused to pay her what he'd promised. So when he washes ashore a few days later without a memory of who he is, aside from a vague recollection of being attracted to her, she thinks fast and blurts out that he's her husband. Georgianna decides that Daniel can pay back what he owes her by doing chores around her house while keeping up the ruse that they are indeed married. What follows is a breathtaking story of love, lust, pain, and everything in between!

I fell in love with Stacy Reid's writing with The Wolf and the Wildflower, but this story has absolutely made her an auto-buy author for me. Few authors can so beautifully express the longing and passion that Reid conveys in her writing. It was MAGIC. I was enthralled, reading as much as I could or thinking about the story when I didn't have time to pick up the book. She made the amnesia trope fresh and fun. We saw characters that were flawed and truly multi-faceted. There were moments when I was on the edge of my seat, unsure what was going to happen.

This story was a roller coaster! Raunchy, then hilarious, and then terribly heartfelt. Some of it was even sexy and funny at the same time. And Daniel knows how to please a woman! I cried. I gasped. I cheered. I decided I was ready for the next book in the Unforgettable Love series!

I'd like to thank Entangled Publishing, LLC, and Netgalley for the e-ARC of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fun, steamy and I didn't want to put it down. It had some unique twists that kept me reading. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.

This was a different but fun entry in this series. I loved the premise of this one. You will definitely see the comparisons to overboard. Essentially if you liked the movie, this book will be fun for you. There were times I wanted a bit more from the male lead, but overall this was enjoyable. I look forward to reading what comes next.

At the beginning of this book, the heroine is mistaken by the hero for someone else aboard a yacht. This mistaken identity got the heroine fired with no remuneration to tide her over. After that event, the hero ended up overboard and washing up ashore with amnesia; the only person he remembers is the heroine. The upset heroine decided to lie to the hero that they are a married couple so that she could have her payback for getting fired. But as the two become closer, there is a ticking clock as the ruse will end when the hero has his memory back.

I adore the author's writing style, so my grievance about this book is not the author's fault. I have a particular book hero type that is a hit-or-miss for me, depending on the level of rakishness and reformation. The hero of this book is a Rake, an impression that is captured from the previous book and continues in this story, particularly at the beginning of this book. It would be nice to have the story be longer so that the hero's reformation can show the growth that he goes through, especially during a certain situation at the latter half of the book that makes his character unlikable. With that said, I liked the heroine and her family, including the animals that lived with them. I also liked the cameos of the couple from the previous book, which are always enjoyable to read about in a series. The premise is also interesting, especially when it's set in a historical period and when the roles are reversed from the original inspiration. Overall, this is a solid Stacy Reid book with a book hero type that isn't my favorite.

I really enjoyed this read a lot! Georgiana is supporting her family after the loss of her parents through her culinary skills when the opportunity to have an earl repay her for his misdeeds due to memory loss arises. The way Daniel fell in love with Georgiana was truly beautiful and genuine. The chemistry was really great and I loved how I went from not really liking Daniel to loving him for Georgiana. Overall great comfort read!

Not your typical historical romance! Sexy, angsty, with plenty of tension and drama. The heroine is quirky and fun- there is alot to love about An Earl to Remember. Great characters, interesting story, plenty of steam with a satisfying ending.

There’s nothing like a little angst in your romance, and An Earl to Remember is chock-full of drama and deception. What I loved about this book is that both Daniel and Georgie take some very thoughtless actions, and each has to live with the consequences of their choices.

Daniel is the classic careless lord, the kind of man who doesn’t consider those who work for him and who enjoys every benefit being a lord brings him. And that includes refusing to pay chef Georgie to satisfy his mistress’ demands. Georgie perpetrates the lie that the amnesiac Daniel is her husband so that she can earn back that money he wouldn’t pay her through his menial labor. Both don’t like their decisions soon after they make them. Daniel determines that he’ll issue Georgie her payment—but then he suffers amnesia. Georgie regrets calling Daniel her husband—but she can’t find any way to get out of the situation she created, as falsehood builds on falsehood.

These two need to go through the proverbial wringer to get to their HEA, and what a moving ride that is! Reid shows the deep emotions Daniel and Georgie bring out in one another as they can’t help but fall hopelessly in love (although Daniel just can’t see that for quite some time). And yet there’s a lot of humor in this book as well, particularly from Georgie’s younger sisters and a certain vengeful chicken.

I loved that Reid doesn’t avoid logical choices for two people of varied class and station who are physically drawn to one another, like having both Georgie and Daniel consider her becoming his mistress. And seeing that Daniel couldn’t sleep late and felt the need to exercise after he returned to his noble life was a physical reflection of the change Georgie was creating in him.

An Earl to Remember is aptly titled; it’s a deeply emotional, angsty read that will linger in your mind after you’ve turned its final pages.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing, and the author for the chance to review.

This book reminded me of a historical, gender swapped version of the movie Overboard. I felt like the FMC and the MMC had good chemistry with each other and I believed the relationship between them. Overall this was a fun historical romance to read. I do not always love books where some part of one of the character identities is being hidden from the other character but I found this one to be enjoyable.

Miss Georgianna Eleanor Heyford may be naught but a gentleman’s daughter, but even she’s heard the rumours about the Earl of Stannis’s exceptional charm and good looks. Surely she can cater his luxurious yacht party without getting swept away. But a terrible misunderstanding leaves Georgianna fired, furious, and with little recompense. Daniel Rutherford, the Earl of Stannis, has absolutely no memory of who he is. They tell him he must have fallen overboard, and the only person he seems to recognize is the lovely Georgianna—who strikes a chord of familiarity. But the truth is, Georgianna is finally getting her revenge. The dashing earl will work off the money he owes her and no one will be the wiser.
A wonderful reworking of Overboard – I loved it & once again the author proves why she's one of my must read authors. Wonderful characters, amazing chemistry. A fast paced story & it made me smile. An engrossing, riveting read, which I highly recommend. Did I say I loved it?

Hertfordshire

Miss Georgianna (Georgie) Heyford, 23, has been the caregiver for her younger sisters, Lizzie, Sarah, and Anna. Their parents passed away some years ago leaving Georgie to find ways to provide for her sisters.

Georgie loves to cook and has recently accepted a job to cook a lavish dinner party aboard the yacht of Daniel Rutherford, the 14th Earl of Stannis. The man is well known for his debauchery. The dinner is for his mistress, Lady Joanna Wimpoole. The night of the dinner, Joanna sees him trying to accost Georgie when he tells her she’s fired because Joanna claims she got sick off the food. He refuses to pay her the full amount she is owed. Joanna ends up pushing Daniel overboard. He is found on shore and has lost his memory.

When Georgie hears of his mishap, she decides to get revenge and says she and he have married. He moves into her home and she puts him to work doing chores on her home. How long can this last without him regaining his memory?

This is a delightful book full of humor and lots of lustful scenes. The chemistry between Georgie and Daniel was fun to read. A bit spicy for my tastes, but, as always, Stacy Reid never fails to pen an excellent novel. Enjoy.

What do you get when you combine an a*hole rake of an Earl who puts work before pleasure. A down on her money caterer who dreams of making the most elaborate worldly meals.
A demanding mistress who wants a huge boat party.
A big money paying catering job on a boat which will make said caterers career.
The Earl thinking the caterer is one of the women he’s gonna get it on with, so getting almost ravished in his room.
The mistress walking in on that scene, bringing the actual women with her.
The caterer getting fired the morning after with only a measly amount of pay, because the mistress threw up due to probably an allergic reaction of some sorts.
The caterer demanding more money and surprising the earl that the beautiful woman he kissed last night was in fact said caterer.
The mistress knocking the Earl out which causes him to fall overboard and wash ashore at a quiet small town without any memories of who he is and what happened.
The caterer living in said quiet small town and finding the earl at the doctor’s office (who is also her cousin, hence, small town).
The earl remembering her face and yelling out he had her in her bed in front of the town’s biggest gossip mongers?
The caterer thinking she now has to pretend to be married to the asshole earl.

A perfect chance for revenge is what you get, and oh how wonderful it is.
(Even the Earl is impressed when finally regains his memory)

The side missions: retrieve eggs from Hetty the chicken and get milk from Nelly the cow.
Earl vs. Hetty the chicken: retrieve eggs, get chased around the property by a chicken while your ‘wife’s’ little sister is running along giving tips for getting away from Hetty.
Earl vs. Nelly the cow: get help from ‘wife’s’ other little sister. Mission complete.

Stacy Reid is embracing the cooky and I hope she never goes back.
I never thought I would love a book that has an amnesia trope, but this might end up being my favorite histrom release of 2023.
I adored Daniel and Georgie so much. Georgie has so many dreams but due to money problems they aren’t yet available to reach, but she does everything to make sure her sisters are okay and they can keep living in the house they were born in. Daniel is the quintessential bored asshole of a rake, who is devoted to his nana first, then his work, and then, to keep him entertained, the mistress who he’s had for over a year. Unfortunately his nana wants to see him married and get her some great grandchildren.

Georgie is a mastermind and thought: I didn’t get my wages.. but I have the earl now and he is a man and I will MAKE HIM WORK AND GET REVENGE!
Meanwhile Daniel still acts like a spoiled asshole. Glad to know some things didn’t change with his loss of memory. The dude is certain he is used to getting pampered and is very confused why the hell he would willingly marry Georgie. Of course she is very beautiful, but he is certain he has never ever been in love. A spoiled but honorable asshole he is.
He goes to work without complaining and even ends up with blistering and bleeding hands, but he keeps doing it. All while wondering why Georgie and her family don’t have the money for the upkeep and worried for her and her sisters. They shouldn’t have to sell all their books or have no staff to manage the household.

At this point the book is not even at the halfway mark. So much happens but it doesn’t feel like it’s too much. I loved the pacing, there’s not a moment in this book where I got bored (I mean… come on now, it’s so bonkers).

The last 35% of the book is amazing. Again, a lot happens but it never feels too much. I was kept at the edge of my seat wondering about how this love story was going to play out. How were Georgie and Daniel going to get their happily ever after?
I don’t want to say too much about this except the scene where they sit at the door. Daniel in his bedroom and Georgie in hers, the door only open a tiny bit, just enough to share a bottle of brandy, while having a such a great conversation.

‘I have not thought beyond knowing I want you more than I have ever wanted anything or anyone. That is a simple truth, Miss Heyford.’

‘I want to run… so far away from you, my lord, but I also want to run into your arms’

I have so many feelings about this and it took me a while to gather all my thoughts about it and honestly, I still am. Go read this one as soon as it comes out because it’s that good.

Miss Georgianna Eleanor Heyford is determined to address the family’s financial standing by catering for Daniel, the Earl of Stannis’s yacht party. Despite rumors of his depraved ways, she decides she is immune to his charms. However, a terrible misunderstanding leaves Georgianna fired and will little recompense. So, when Daniel falls overboard and appears to have no memory of his status nor of Georgie, she claims Daniel as her husband. Georgie feels that Daniel can work for the money she is owed but soon finds that she enjoys his presence and feels that he belongs with her.
With tones of the Goldie Hawn movie ‘Overboard’, this book is a delight. Daniel gradually wins Georgie over, to the point where her every glance ponders whether he will regain his memory. I loved the moments when they connected, with Georgie running into Daniel’s arms or with her sadness evident that their feelings would be revealed as based on a lie. Whilst part of a series, this is a stand-alone book and I hope that Georgie’s sisters will not be lost, with the ending of this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Miss Georgiana Heyford has been struggling to keep her sisters and their home since the death of their father. At last she has a chance of earning money with her exceptionally good talent as a chef.
Daniel Rutherford, Earl of Stannis is an arrogant wealthy Rake who spends all his time in the pursuit of pleasure. That is until he washes up on a beach with no memory of who he is.
In this HOT historical romance our clever heroine knows how to take advantage of circumstance. Our hero learns a very important lesson in humility. This is a sexy and funny book with wonderful characters. It is part of a series but each book can easily be read alone. The ending is particularly funny.
I loved it.

A good retelling from the talented Stacy Reid. Instant attraction, Amnesia, Revenge, Spice. It is well written and very engaging.

Not the best read in my view. Daniel was a little too far gone to believe in his redemption so easily and I just didn't warm to him and the whole amnesia thing dragged on too long for me not a patch on the first book. On the positive side it is well written. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

As the oldest sister Georgianna has to care for her younger sisters after their parents deaths. Good thing she's a talented chef, so when the opportunity appears she's hired to cook on a first class rake's yacht party. Until he confuses him for the "extra" his mistress brings him. And she wasn't happy, so the Chef fired and the Earl is tossed at the sea (chill out girl). So when he's washed ashore at Georgianna's village, having amnesia but as a rake of his level he never forgets the ones he has slept with, announces in front of the biggest gossipers Georgie was his lover and a medium one at that. The audacity! So Georgianna has no choice but to proclaim she's his wife and then makes him do all sorts of labours a husband should do around the house, including being chased by a chicken 🤷🏼‍♀️
That was such a delightful book, fun, sweet and spicy at the same time. The yearning between the two of them was top level. We also got to see again Simon and Mina from "A matter of Temptation" and the next books of the series are being set up.
So I've been in a dreadful reading slump for about a year now and most books don't stick out to me (can't finish them) and then comes this one... Not only I read it as fast as I should, I was hooked! Stacy Reid's writing never disappoints me, she's a favorite for sure!
