This was a light and easy romance read, and kept me engaged. Very much summer vibes, and I’d recommend it to my friends.

This is an incredibly funny book with warm, vital characters and plenty of romance. I loved seeing Phoebe open up as she pops across the pond to Hollywood for a quick break and finds a family.

There's subtle tension between herself and Ren from the beginning and the story isn't overwhelmed with the love story between them. I found the beginning of the book took some time in establishing Phoebe as a person and what makes her tick.

The only thing I will say is that Cyrano de Bergerac has always made me feel a little uncomfortable (the dishonesty, no matter how well-intentioned, is off-putting to me), and as there were elements of that story in this one, it was never going to be a 5 star review for me.

It's a personal preference, that's all.

But I will be reading other books by this author. It was a genuinely funny and engaging story.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Absolutely loved this book. Phoebe and myrna were my favourite characters. Id love to have a neighbour like myrna as she would keep you on your toes. Also like bel as she was so kind hearted and supportive to everyone.

This was a sweet, boy next door, book that actually had me wanting to visit LA to explore. Lindsey was able to drag you in to the wonder of a town that seems very surface level, and turn it into somewhere that holds secret wonders and hidden gems.

TBH although I enjoyed Ren, I was more invested in her relationship with Myrna and was interested to see how those two were going to help each other. I loved the old Hollywood drama and glamour and the author really wrote it in a way I could imagine being there with them.
I really wanted Phoebe and Ren to have more page time together. When they were together they were so cute and sincere but I just needed more!!

Thanks to #NetGallery and the publisher. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Love Me Do is a funny, well written story full of great characters. The way Lindsey has written them makes you instantly gravitate towards them and want to get to know them better. While this is obviously a romance, I found the female friendships/relationships to be what I enjoyed most about the story.

If I was to ask for more, I would have enjoyed more scenes between Ren and Phoebe and an epilogue because the ending just seemed sudden to me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins for allowing me to read and review Love Me Do.

Love Me Do by Lindsey Kelk is a friends to lovers romance, filled with extravagant houses and bird sightings.

Phoebe and Ren's relationship goes from strangers to friends to lovers in a very short period of time, in a serious case of instalove. They go through a lot together and end up realising that they've been looking for each other all along.

The house descriptions were great, I wish I lived in a mansion in LA! I also loved Myrna, who absolutely takes the cake for best side character. The book is also very funny. There are lots of very entertaining moments in the book, and I laughed several times throughout. The things that Phoebe get up to in such a short period of time indicates a holiday very well spent.

Great read, love a good summer romance. I will definitely read more from Lindsey Kelk in the future.

Phoebe finds much more than she bargained for when she heads to L.A to spend a couple of weeks with her sister….

I was very surprised how much I enjoyed this book. It was such a fun, light hearted read with brilliant pacing and lots of funny moments that kept me reading.

Even though it’s marketed as a romcom, I would classify it more as chick lit as Ren doesn’t have much page time at all.

Overall, a fun little beach read for lovers of Emily Henry 😊
