Honestly very pretty cover. I think I needed to read the other books in this series to thoroughly enjoy this book. Thank you to netgalley, the publisher and the author for letting me read this book.
I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.
Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Melanie Summers
When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.
Great book, highly recommend! I thought the characters were relatable and I genuinely cared for them. 3 stars!
Thank you #Netgalley
When Aidan runs away to live an island life after catching his girlfriend in their bed with his brother, he was focused on his new life and not getting into any relationships as he can't trust anyone after that event. But when he meets a girl at the bar going through her own personal distress, neither realized that they could benefit off each other. This was a fun summer read with pretending to be in a relationship mixed in with a worldwide scavenger hunt game. Great summer read!

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
When I saw this was series, I was worried because I wasn't aware. But it's just set in the same universe. Stand alone "series" are my favorite.
This was a fun, quick read. I really enjoyed Lola and her story. I wish we had a little more depth on her and her background. That would have been fun to explore. Aiden's chapters got a little annoying at times. I didn't care for how to spoke in those chapters. His story was interesting too.
I enjoyed the tropes in this. Fake dating, only one bed. Always fun. I was more invested in the adventure and finding the crowns than the fake dating. I enjoyed the parts with Aiden's parents but I just wanted to get to the crowns. I did feel like the crown thing could have been worked out in a different way. And the insta love was a little much for me. I get it but also, I need a little more time.
Firstly the cover is gorgeous! I can see this being a vibrant cover on the summer reads table at Barnes & Noble. I loved the fake dating trope, with a dual POV set during the summer. it was the perfect beach read. Lola and Aidan were super cute and I enjoyed their conversations.
Beach Please
Lola Gordon needs the universe to step in and give her a break! I was rooting for Lola from the start of this story, just waiting for something to go her way.
After her boyfriend not only leaves her, but takes all her money, causing her to lose her beloved surf shop, Lola is desperately trying to get her life back. She has given up on men and relationships and is determined to make it in life on her own.
Aiden Clarke has given up on women and relationships after his fiancé leaves him for his brother. He’s moved to Santa Valentina Island to get away from his family and “people whose opinions matter”.
Aiden and Lola are both trying to heal and move on with their lives. At a chance encounter, where Lola is partaking in her weekly Trivia Game at the local bar, Aiden is drinking away his sorrows after learning that not only are his brother and ex-fiancé getting married, but they’re having a baby. This sets in motions all the things that lead to a fake relationship, so Aiden’s parents believe he is happy in his new life, and a race to win a grand prize to buy back her surf shop.
Determined to not get into a relationship or worse, fall in love, Lola and Aiden continuously fight all the signs right in front of them.
This is a closed door romance with a HEA.
Also, D!ck Napper is the worst.
Beach Please is definitely a go to beach read!! I was lol so many times through out and I love when that happens. A lovely read making me want to catch up with all the other books in the Paradise Bay series. I can't wait to see what her other books are like. I will be recommending this book!!
thank you NetGalley and Melanie Summers for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.
OH MY SEA STARS!! This is the perfect summer beach read!! Thank you NetGalley and Melanie Summers for granting me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.
What a beautiful and heartwarming rom-com with a bit of adventure! I found myself smiling, laughing and swooning! I absolutely loved the book so much!! It has your fake dating, forced proximity and one bed trope and is filled with tension, humor, chemistry, steam, closed door romance, wonderful secondary characters and a treasure hunt! Beach Please is about love, betrayal, heartbreak, healing, family, friendships, hope and never giving up on your dreams. Once I started reading I could not stop and finished it in a day. This is my first read by Summers and I am excited to read more of her books! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
Lola and Aiden were both heartbroken by past relationships. As a result, they both have sworn to never fall in love again. Now Lola needs a favor and Aiden needs her help. They agree to work together to resolve their problems. She needs his boat for a treasure hunt. He needs her to be his fake girlfriend. Nothing could go wrong, right? What happens when the line between real and fake becomes blurry? Nothing is ever simple when love is involved.
Overall, it is a fun, quick and adorable read!! This is the sixth book in the “Paradise Bay” series but can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend and it deserves all the sea stars!! 🏖️🐚☀️🌊🚢🐡🩵
This story is an exciting adventure, featuring main characters who get to know each other and begin to heal. Beach Please by Melanie Summers will leave you wanting to pack your bags and book the next flight to Paradise Bay! This story is an uplifting and heartwarming beach read that should be on your TBR. It’s especially perfect for those who gravitate towards a grumpy-sunshine, fake relationship story.
Meet Aidan Clarke. He’s a fishing boat captain who has experienced some betrayal, and a relationship is not what he is looking for. Meet Lola Hunter. Same goes for her, but she isn’t a boat captain and instead owns a surf shop. But her ex disappeared with all of her money and she needs to compete in a treasure hunt to save her store. To do this, she needs a boat. Aidan has a boat, so when they agree to help each other, it’s with one rule: Lola will pretend to be his girlfriend to get his family off his back but they are friends only, no relationship is allowed. Will they be able to win the treasure hunt and abide by their one rule?
This book tugged at my heart strings, made me laugh, and had me rooting for a happy ending. The main characters were a terrific combination and complimented each other well. Summers wrote realistic characters, so much so that I kept peeking over my Kobo to see if I could spot the duo.
I really loved how Summers wrote a beach read with a deeper meaning. With this book, she highlighted that people need to see how others live in orderto open our minds, and our hearts. I look forward to picking up a physical copy of this book and pulling a reread before the summer is over!
Thank you to NetGalley, Xpresso Book Tours, and Melanie Summers for a temporary e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I just finished reading this one last night, and it was a cute Rom Com. Definitely a good one if you need something a little bit lighter to read by the pool. There were parts where I laughed out loud.
I previously enjoyed a book in this series and was excited to be given the opportunity to read this newest addition and I was not disappointed. This is a fun and cute romance involving fake dating and was absolutely adorable. Lola is in need of money in order to be able to fulfill her dream of owning a surf shop. Her ex took all her money and disappeared without a trace, so now she has nothing. She gets the perfect opportunity when a treasure hunt is put together based on a popular book series, which she is very familiar with. The only problem is that she needs to secure a boat. Aidan is nursing a broken heart. He moved to Santa Valentina Island to start fresh after discovering his girlfriend with his brother. He just wants peace and to be left to his solitude. So to appease his concerned parents, he strikes a deal with Lola. He will provide her with a boat, if she pretends to be his fake girlfriend when his parents come to visit. The treasure hunt provides the perfect distraction for them both as they work together on this exciting adventure. They get to know one another more and also begin to heal from the past hurt. The lines between fake and real start to blur as they start to develop feelings for each other.
This was such a fun read! Perfect for a lazy summer day by the beach. The story was entertaining and well-written and I absolutely loved the characters. They were well-defined and likable and I immediately fell in love with them. The story grabbed my attention from the start and kept me engaged all the way through, and I was rooting for Lola and Aiden the whole time. A very enjoyable read!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Perfect beach read⛱️🏖️
Thank you netgalley, the author and the publisher for the book.
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
Another great summer, beach read by Melanie Summers. A beautiful setting, delightful, fun, humorous, sexy characters and of course a happily ever after are all wrapped into a good story.
I WILL NOT BE GIVING Feedback as I did not read this book. Only put a star because I could not post without
I was not able to receive this book, therefore I will not be giving a review on it. I was looking forward to reading it since my group is reading summer and beach books now. It is very unfortunate that I did not receive this book to review. I wish the author all the best. I really like the cover.
This was so good! And I loved the maps and the closed door romance. This was absolutely the most perfect read to read on vacation! I loved this.
I just reviewed Beach Please by Melanie Summers. #BeachPlease #NetGalley

This book was full of funny moments and perfect summer vibes, perfect for this time of year. It was the perfect length for me to be involved in the story and not grow bored. The fake dating trope was great and led to some funny and steamy moments. Generally I enjoyed this book and would recommend to those looking for a light summer read!
This was the perfect palate cleanser for all of the dark romances that I’ve been reading. This is my first Melanie Summers read and I look forward to reading more.
She wrote a great story about two people who have been burnt by love and aren’t planning on looking for it ever again…which is the exact opposite of what happens. (Its a romance, this is not a spoiler.)
Lola’s crappy ex ran off with every cent from the business they had together and her prized surfboard.
Aiden’s found his heartless ex in bed with his brother.
Both very burned by love!
Together they make a deal that will benefit them both.
Lola needs money to buy back her business from the bank and decides to enter a content but needs Aiden’s help. While Aiden needs Lola to pretend to be in love with him so his parents will get off his back.
Nothing can go wrong in this situation!
The adventure that these two go on together is great. I love the embarrassment that was their meet cute and the way they talked with each other from the beginning.
Summers did a great job with the pacing of this novel and kept my attention throughout while continuing to bring fun and wit.
This is the sixth book of the Paradise Bay series and I think I may have to go back and read 1-5 for more fun reads!
I was nervous seeing that this was book 6 in a series but I love that I was able to enjoy it without having read any of the others. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes and that was exactly what I got from Lola and Aiden. This was such a cute summer read and I can't wait to go back and read the rest of the series.
