Description: Lola Gordon was on the brink of losing her surf shop when her ex disappeared along with all the money in their business account. The bank is scheduled to auction her shop and everything in it, in six weeks. Lola is desperate to find a solution and save her shop.
When Lola hears about a treasure hunt, she knows it’s her last chance to save her future. There’s only one problem, she needs a boat.
Enter Aiden Clark a man who is trying to start over in Paradise Bay after discovering his ex-finance cheated on him with his brother. Aiden swears off serious relationships and wants nothing more than to be left alone. So, when his parents’ worry drives them to visit and look for a home near him, Aiden must act like he’s fine or his parents will never go back home.
Aiden tells Lola he’ll give her the boat she needs if he agrees to pretend to be his live-in girlfriend.
As adventures are had, lines become blurred, and their hearts heal, and true happiness awaits.
Beach Please is the read of the Summer!!
I’ve loved the Paradise Bay series but Beach Please is my favorite.
Lola’s caring and positive outlook shines despite everything she’s going through. Her lack of bitterness and unwavering belief in herself to win the treasure hunt will have you cheering her on, despite the incredible odds of failure.
Aiden is the sweetest guy! His broken heart has him swearing off serious relationships and hoping to find casual hookups while he heals. You’ll want to punch his brother in the face for causing Aiden so much pain.
Lola is more of a free spirit while Aiden has more of a type A personality. Their differences are a perfect balance making them perfect for each other.
The story is filled with so many scenes that made me LOL, making me love the character even more. And the closed-door heat was done perfectly!
When Aiden realizes how much Lola means to him the lengths, he’s willing to go for her will melt your heart.

Let's cut to the chase: I binge read this novel!

Lola is so much fun, in the broken kind of way. She's so optimistic when her life is a mess that's getting worse by the day.
Aidan is more introverted and has been living a solitary life since leaving Canada for the Caribbean.

They promised themselves they'd never fall in love again... until they met each other (and they will fight their hearts to the end!).

This novel is so funny and sweet, part adventure, 100% romance.
I might have liked to see more of the Caribbean (on the boat expedition in particular), as I've never been there, But it was truly a delight.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion!

This was a sweet and quick easy read to kick off summer!! The story immerses you in from the beginning, and wishing you were on the island with them. (I did not read any of the other books in this series, and it can definitely be read as a stand alone).

Lola isn’t having a great year, not only did her boyfriend leave her but he emptied out their bank account which forced her to lose her shop and surfing school. With time ticking to when the bank will auction it off, she decides she will do whatever it takes to get the money.

Aidan also isn’t having a great year, after he found out his fiancé was cheating on him with him his own brother. But to make matters worse he’s also just found out they’re pregnant.

These two meet one evening at the Turtles head and what started as a chance meeting, ends with them making a deal. Lola will pose as Aidan’s girlfriend while his parents visit. And Aidan will captain his boat for Lola on the quest to find the Crown in a treasure hunt, that will win her all the money she needs to save her shop.

But as feelings turn real, parents come to town, and there is drama finding the crown, will there deal truly work out?

I loved their story and watching them both get their HEA after being dealt such crappy cards from life. The ending is just chefs kiss! And now I want to read all the rest of the books in this series!
