Well wasn’t this the cutest thing ever?? This is the first time I’ve read anything for this author and she has the sweetest writing. I didn’t realize this was part of a series but it could be read as a stand alone.

What I enjoyed;
• Alex <3
• i adored the small town charm. You could imagine the location and actions.
• angst, friends to lovers, pure, honest, cute
• fake dating, he falls first, I mean what else do we need??

What could have been better?
• I did feel like some moments were a tad random. One in particular, but I won’t say it bc I don’t want to spoil anything. I do wish the plot had a bit more depth with each character and their ending.

This was such a sweet, cute book. Hazel and her boyfriend break up and when she is finally ready to start dating again, she gets her best friend, Alex, to agree to set each other up on blind dates. They go on some interesting dates like dancing and kayaking, and wind up getting ice cream and chatting after. Theresa dual POV is refreshing to see Alex’s view on everything that is happening as well. Sometimes Hazel is a little oblivious to what was going on.

There are also some funny parts that I could envision as I was reading and it made me laugh out loud, like when their concert gets rained out and their truck gets stuck in the mud… and the mud ends up all over Alex.

I liked the characters in this book and how supportive they were. Hazel’s friends were great and I’m glad that everything worked out how it should have.

Thank you to NetGalley for this eARC!

Aaahhh, swoon!! 🥰

This book was so cute! Alex and Hazel are the absolute cutest and I loved reading their story. This is a closed-door romance as well, which honestly sometimes is all I need to make sure I don’t feel ashamed haha. Altogether, a perfect little romance book that will make you swoon and giggle all over 🫶🏼

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC ♥️

There's no need to read Madison Wright's book in order, but I do recommend, because you meet couples from earlier books in this one!

MY FAVORITE FRIENDS TO LOVERS BOOK, EVER.

Even though this is a cut and dry classic friends to lovers tale I still really enjoyed it, the family and friendship dynamics where superb and the communication was also so natural and well paced out.

Such a sweet friends to lovers story with a great setting, side characters that build off the other books in the series and overall, an amazing read! I enjoy Wright’s books so much because they are feel good stories with lots of great scenes, characters with real emotions and descriptions that make me feel I’m right with the character.

I’d recommend this book if you like:
•friends to lovers
•closed door (just kissing)
•fun scenes
•great side characters

I really loved this book and the main characters. It was great to see their relationship transition from friends to more than friends.
If you love the friends to lover trope, you will not be disappointed.

BESTFRIENDS TO LOVERS????? UMM HELLO YES!!!
This was a cute butterfly feels romance.
Friends to lovers has to be my top 3 favorite tropes.
The characters on the cover are exactly how i picture Hazel and Alex.
The connection both main characters had and my heart broke when Alex had so many feels for Hazel.
This can be read as a standalone but the first two books characters do make a slight appear.

This book was heartwarming and a great reminder that some love stories really are that sweet! I really liked both main characters, and I rooted for them the entire book. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants a feel-good romance that doesn't have all the broodiness of others.

Thanks to Victory Editing for my ARC!

A great easy read book.

Hazel moves across the country to be nearer her family and friends after finding out her boyfriend has been cheating on her. She avoids dating for a while and when she feels ready asks her best friend Alex if they can set each other up on blind dates.

Alex is Hazels best friend but he is also in love with her. How does he get her to notice he exists as boyfriend material and not just best friends.

Hazel starts to see Alex in a different light but she’s worried that she might lose Alex forever if things don’t go well

Hazel and Adam met at their siblings' wedding. Hitting it off the first day of meeting, they became the best of friends. After Hazel found out her boyfriend was cheating, she decided it was time to move across the country to get herself together. After giving herself some time, she comes up with a plan of having her best friend Alex pick her blind dates for her. Alex, however, has other plans. He is madly in love with Hazel, and Hazel is blind to that. Follow along on their journey of crossing the line between best friends and lovers.

This cute rom com was so funny. I laughed several times, and I love Alex and Hazel as both friends and lovers. I read this as a standalone, but I will be going back to read the other books in this series. Classic friends to lovers, which is one of my favorites. Alex is so patient and so kind, I am obsessed with him. Hazel is independent and dead set on finding her perfect match. I just wish she opened her eyes sooner. Easy read, sucks you in, character development is great. Will be reading the rest of the books in this series.

🌼Best friends to lovers
🌼He falls first
🌼Slow burn
🌼Dual POV

This book was like a cozy warm hug! I loved all the Pride and Prejudice references, and I’m always obsessed with a sweet cinnamon roll MMC, especially one who pines after his best friend. I had a hard time with the way this story was set up though, and because of that I never felt as invested as I wanted to; the beginning was quick and confusing to immediately be friends, so it took a while to feel the chemistry. I prefer a slow burn and Hazel’s interest in Alex felt a little sudden!

Really enjoyed this book! A quick and super fun read! I can’t wait to read more from this author! I loved a good slow burn and this was done really well! Very cute read!

This was a cute friends to lovers story. I liked all the characters and while there was a little too much will they or won't they, it was an enjoyable read. When I started I didn't realize that this was the 3rd in a series. I would be interested to read the previous books.

JUST FRIENDS - MADISON WRIGHT

This was my first encounter with the writer, and my purpose here, of supporting indie authors, is fulfilled in a sense.
Alex and Hazel became fast friends after attending their siblings' wedding. After Hazel's disastrous experience with an ex, she returns 'home', to Nashville, where she feels she could re-charge and re-plan her life.
Alex is there to support her all the way, but draws a line at really helping her jumping into the dating pool again. Especially as he is totally in love with her.
The sweet and slow way of realization comes at a snails pace, but, it was important for the character's growth to let it be that way.
The supporting characters were fun, the love coming alive between the main characters were precious and the banter and inner workings of the mentioned relationships gave a novel the warmth and sweet, fuzzy feelings we all crave in our comfort reads.

OMG THIS WAS SO CUTE!!!

* friends to lovers
* he falls first
* cinnamon roll hero
* forced proximity
* slowburn
* closed door

This was just SO SWEET. Low angst, no third act break-up - just two friends, who are super close, and who are perfect for each other (and everyone knows it but her!). Their families and friends meddled and it was just so cute.
